Why Do People Say This About

Why do people say "no no no no no"?

It shouldn’t be necessary, because the word “No” is fairly self-explanatory. The only time I find myself repeating myself is after I’ve said it once and the other person keeps insistently repeating their request trying to pressure and/or guilt trip me into changing my mind. As for people who have the habit of repeating “No” over and over again, it seems as if they’re “protesting too much”; they try to sound more forceful because they’re secretly afraid that they’re not strong enough to stand up to the pressure!

Why do people say cash money?

Why do people say "wait" before they speak?

Original Question: “Why do people say "wait" before they speak?”There could be different explanations. The intonation of the speech will give a clue as to which nuance to put onWait! What are we talking about? Could be an expression of surprise. The speaker has just realised that the conversation has taken an unexpected turn and is a bit disorientated. Another way of putting it might be “Hang on a minute - can you run that past me again?”Another usage is about getting attention because events seem to be rolling on and something is in danger of being overlooked. For example: “Wait - are we going for lunch?” You might say this about 2 pm if a meeting has over-run and you’re hungry. You might also use this to get people to pause and focus: “Wait! Are we going for lunch?” As in “Are you serious? We need to get cracking on the proposal or we’ll miss the deadline, are you really suggesting a lunch break now?”

Why do people say "to" instead of "too"?

Everyone notices it (if they’re trying to read it). Some, it doesn’t bother because it’s a shortcut for new-generation text based communicating. It shows a lack of personal pride, actually. Grammar is a very inexpensive, very valuable, tool. Another one often used (or mis-used) is they’re. They use there, or their. Another, would be leaving out a ‘?’ at the end of a question. Eh?

Why do people say PIN number?

RAS syndrome (redundant acronym syndrome syndrome) is the use of one or more of the words that make up an acronym in with its the abbreviated form, thus in effect repeating one or more words. E.g.  "PIN number" (Number is redundant here)Reason :Probably it offers more clarity and effectiveness in communication. A good example of this is 'Wipe that smile off your face'.The last two words are tautological—there is no other place a smile could be—but the sentence brings more clarity.

Why do people say "dat" instead of "that"?

Has anyone noticed that most of those who agree with me have big stupid glasses too? It's a typical sign of intelligence. Aren't they trendy? Sexy too. Except for Stephen. He has silly little glasses with blue tinted lenses. Didn't they go out with Duran Duran?....LMAO!
