Why Do People Think Women Are More Emotional Than Men

Women more emotional than men?

To answer your question... yes

It is a scientific proof that women have a different response to situations then men. In those situations their bodies produce different/more hormones than men.

However, to say that women are more emotional then men really depends on how you define emotional. It is true that men tend to get less emotionally involved in situations then women. Men, although, do act towards situations with more emotions of aggression and fear then women do.

The fact is that women, through evolution, have needed to be more emotional. Women have many more internal stressors, such as child birth, and the brain has tuned itself to respond to these stressors.

Personally, I believe that men AND women should have equal rights. However, I believe that it is going to be a huge struggle to get men and women on the exact same level because the world will always be that way.

Are women more emotional than men?

I believe that because of hormones - women are made to be different and therefore more emotional. Men try to hide and thwart their emotions. Anger is usually the first emotion that they express when depressed or hurt. Instead of saying, "You hurt my feelings" - they get angry, swear, and walk away. Men are taught from a very young age not to cry and not to be too emotional. When they get into a relationship - they find it hard to express themselves. It is a learned behaviour. It is very healthy for a mother to teach children of both sexes that it is okay to express and identify feelings.

Do you think women tend to make more "emotional" decisions than men do?

It seems that in general (not all) women tend to become emotional much quicker than men. Please don't fly off the handle on me, 90% of my friends are girls. I get along better with girls than guys. But this is something I had to ask.

If women are more emotional than men, why are women more colder?

Women are more defensive and more private in the way they express themselves. They tend to keep their emotions inside more than men, whose testosterone boils over very quickly.

What you see as coldness is actually a defense mechanism in which a woman won't express emotions which could be causing them inner turmoil. They will hide that turmoil as long as they can.
