Why Do So Many Indians Come On The Us Y A When They Should Go On The Indian Version

How do Indians feel when they go back to live in India after living in US for 5+ years?

Here is a word of advice for all NRI's who are looking to move back to India."If you are looking to move to India because you are bored of your job in the US or feel there are more opportunities here, then DON'T move back"I moved to Gurgaon 6 months back and its been a mix of pleasure and pain :)Its dusty, dirty, noisy, crowded, humid with crappy roads, even more crappier condos etc etc..you get the drift. If you want to live in a condo like you lived in the US, it will cost you atleast a lakh per month :)Most service providers and handymen will not be on time and will even be very blase about it.Shopping for good quality veggies and fruits is a pain. The fine line between a weekday and the weekend usually blurs.Maids and cooks are supposed to be a convenience but they are usually a pain in the neck because you gotta supervise them and keep an eye on them.Options for weekend breaks are very limited. If Google Maps says you will reach a place in 6 hours, it will take anywhere between 10-16hours.Sports facilities are pretty limited and the ones that are available are pretty expensive. The gyms here are crappy and are usually in the basement of some house nearby. There are good ones but usually very far from where you live and the commute is just not worth it.5kms of travel is like 25 miles of travel here.If you have been out of India for more than 3+ years, and have not been here in the last 3 years, you will get THE STICKER SHOCK of your life when you get back.Stuff has become frightfully expensive...some examples include petrol, wine, fine dining, movie tickets etc etc.Basically, everything is available here but at a price. You can almost duplicate your US lifestyle but the cost will be directly similar to what it was in the US. The only difference will be a drop in your salary (And this is if you were living in NYC or SFO. If you are living in Dallas or somewhere in the midwest in a $800/2BR apartment, the fun will be even more)Well, that's the bad part. Now to the good parts even though they may seem a bit vague :)Its home and I feel more 'alive' here. The food somehow tastes better. There is a notional sense of freedom (like zipping on the expressway at midnight without worrying about a cop car on your back)

When did American Indians come from India?

Native Americans did not come from India. Columbus was trying to reach India and ended up in the "New World".
"The term Indians as applied to Native Americans, or the indigenous peoples of the Americas, is thought to have originated in a misconception on the part of the Europeans who arrived in Central America in 1492. Since Christopher Columbus began his journey to America with the intent of finding an alternate route to Southeast Asia, he is said to have assumed that the people he came into contact with upon reaching land were Indians. Despite the fact that people probably realized this mistake within hours, the name remained in use. Similarly, the islands in Central America came to be called the "West Indies", as opposed to the "East Indies" that Columbus originally had in mind as his destination."

Have Indians killed Quora? Is it time to build an Indian version of Quora?

Disclaimer:-The following answer maybe be little off-topic.I am generalizing it too much and I know that.Back in 2014 when I joined Quora, it was sea of knowledge( and it still is, but not the same). Any answer I read, it was full of knowledge. Sure new users were coming in, but the overall quality was still high. But Indians were bored…And then some inquisitive Indians found an online haven called ‘Quora’ to change it forever. This allowed intellectually fed up people, to vent their knowledge at a most proper place. To start with, here are two facts:-India tops the list of Most no. of visitors on Quora. The topic ‘India’ is one of the most followed topic on Quora. Even ahead of hot-shots like Earth (3.3 m), Silicon Valley (2.5 m) and Entrepreneurship( 2.9 m).But that’s the boring part. The fun begins here…..Quora is so popular that for some of them, it has now become GOOGLE -Who-is-Dhinchak-PoojaWhat is pizza called in HindiWhat-does-sutta-meanWhat-is-the-meaning-of-the-Hindi-word-bawaseer (LOL!!)For some of them, it is the new Instagram-Do you mind if I see a photo of you? What are the most crazy/beautiful photos taken of Delhi city?Popularity is so damn high that many are using Quora when they have no idea what the heck are they doing here-My wife is pregnant. How can I help the foetus grow up to join IIT?Can I get a job at Quora if I answer a lot of questions?Why-dont-non-Bihari-guys-want-to-date-Bihari-girls (No offense!!)These are just questions, we have so many popular and great answers too. Some other day maybe..The list goes on and on…There are other significant changes too of high Quora popularity among Indians. Sometimes i am so jealous because almost everyone here is now a foodie, traveler, blogger, humorous, and owns a start up. If not then a feminist, whiteknight, stoner, IITian, CEO at some online paanwala app.So moral of the story, Quora is damn popular in India. We people didn’t killed it, we rather owned it.P.S:- Getting upvotes and followers on Quora releases dopamine and serotonin[1] in the brains of most us and so does consuming alcohol.Images Source-google.co.inFootnotes[1] Dopamine vs. Serotonin

Do Indian people not want to come back to India when they go to America?

On the contrary, these past few years have seen a very big shift of Indians back to India or to third countries. India has a lot of room for improvement for sure, but the pace of change taking place now is quite incredible. Compare that to USA, which is on a fast downward path. Many Americanos have a false idea of Asians in USA. They believe we are all high-flying tech and finance geniuses making no less than 6 digit salaries. For some this is true, but for most this is far from the truth. Even if we have the education, many have lost their jobs and are not able to find new jobs with equivalent pay.For an Indian (or other Asian) who has at least one if not two degrees including graduate level work, it is difficult to be satisfied taking a small pay after being laid off from a prestigious job. So many pack up and leave. When my husband (IT pro) was laid off, he was out of work for a year and a half. His next job paid 60% of his former pay. On top of that, there is NO job security in USA so should he be laid off again (VERY likely), that would be that due to this age. So we decided to leave when we had the chance.First thought was India. But it was difficult as there are so many Indians there already who left USA. In addition you have hoards of Indian-Americanos who are looking for work as well.Indians Go Home, but Don't Leave U.S. BehindMore Indians Who Moved To The U.S. Decide To Return HomeWhy Indian and Chinese entrepreneurs are leaving AmericaSo you see, it is not that Indians once in USA never go back. Why are people from india called indians? what does india mean?

i know my tribal name, i read all the history of columbus. i know what &where that term originated, yet people can't give me an enlightened answer cause they are all ignorant.

Why is there so many Indian and Asian computer programmers?

I don't know much about other Asian countries, but here atleast in India, Mathematics has been quite popular since ancient ages.

The familes in my country place education highly. So there is abundance of highly educated professionals arising in fields of engineering, management, business etc in this New India.

Besides India has high population coupled with poise to become World's Next Superpower, this is pushing Indians to study Science more than any other field. Besides Computers are highly popular.

Hope this answers you.
