I suppose at least part of my answer is going to depend on what you mean by “half-naked”. In some parts of the world, that might mean exposed ankles or exposing the tops of women’s heads. Here in Florida, at least for a guy, half-naked means being bare chested (not wearing a shirt). For women, that would be referred to as being “top-less” (or more ‘politically correct,’“top-free”), and you won’t see that except at a very few number of beaches here where top-less or even being nude, is acceptable. A woman being top-less certainly would not be seen on the streets here in Florida, or on the streets anywhere in the US. OK, except for some performers in entertainment districts, such as maybe in Las Vegas and Times Square in New York City.As far as bikinis go, except for right on the beach itself, it isn’t considered proper. Women can usually get away with just wearing a wrap around their bottom or shorts over their bikini bottom at shops and casual restaurants in beach communities near the beach, but not at the mall, on the street, or walking around town in general.The US tends to be less fashion conscious, but also more conservative than most of Europe is.

In most abrahamic societies (Islamic, Christian, Hebrew) and hinduistically or buddhistically oriented societies patriarchal rule and influence has decided that women are to be highly sexualised.I mean to say that the men in power have decided what triggers their list full thoughts. No. That would be called indecent exposure. Technically, the law labels exposure of sexual organs as indecent. For women, the sexual organs are the breasts and the vaginal area. For men, it's the penis of course. For everyone, the buttox can also be deemed for sexual purposes, so it is also deemed as inappropriate. It seems unfair, but guys have one less sexual organ than women which allows for more liberal exposure of the body.

Here in Florida, with some exceptions for breastfeeding and youth, a woman being topless is considered the same as her being nude. As crazy as that may sound in many places in the world, that’s the dominant cultural view here in the US.But wait, you asked about “the law” not “the culture”. Just as a woman being topless in public is completely legal in New York, it’s rarely acceptable in public here even where it isn’t technically illegal to be topless or nude. There isn’t a statewide law in Florida against simple nudity by itself. That’s left to individual counties and local administrations to regulate. Some of them don’t bother, but that’s not going to stop people from complaining if it’s seen where it isn’t culturally expected and accepted. They can still use vague “disturbing the peace” type laws against them.

Tarantulas and snakes really are not a concern. Lived here ten years, spent a ton of time in the desert, have never seen one outside of the zoo. Snakes are shy. They would really rather just be left alone. I am happy to oblige. Scorpions are a different story. They are more concentrated in some areas than others. They tend to love orange groves, and I live right next a grove. Frankly, this year, we've been inundated. So frustrating. I hate them. We have an exterminator out monthly (which mainly kills the crickets - their favorite food) but with the extreme heat they have worked really hard to get inside. And have been unsettlingly successful. But if you move into a highly developed, slightly older area, there is less of a chance of bumping into one. My mom has lived in an older area of Tempe for twenty years and has never seen one, ever. We built our home right next to the groves - I've dealt with probably at least a dozen of them this summer. But I know plenty of people who have lived here for years and have never seen them. I would say that the more developed the area, the less open space around the area, the less you are going to have to deal with scorpions.
