Why Do Some Conservatives Say

Why do some conservatives say that liberals hate facts, and that liberals get offended whenever they hear facts being used in an argument?

Q: “Why do some conservatives say that liberals hate facts, and that liberals get offended whenever they hear facts being used in an argument?”Because, in my observation, “liberals” (using the term very loosely, since common usage of it does not mean anything remotely resembling what it originally meant) base their entire philosophy and worldview on feelings or emotion, not logic and reason. There are other answers to this question (written, interestingly enough, by “liberals” even though the Question explicitly asks why “conservatives” believe a certain thing - as if self-professed “liberals” are even remotely qualified to say with any modicum of authority or empirical knowledge what makes a “conservative” believe anything) that perfectly illustrate this point.Another issue is that, in my observation, “liberals” tend to constantly “move the goalposts” when confronted with logic and fact. What (many) “liberals” accuse “conservatives” of doing re: “cherry-picking ‘facts’ to support their own position” is something that they (“liberals”) are equally, if not more so, guilty of. The typical reaction to pointing this out is an immediate retreat to ad-hominem attacks, insults, and in general emotional tantrums because someone dares to challenge or question their (“liberals”) worldview.I’m sure I’ll take plenty of ‘flak’ or ‘heat’ for this Answer - but you want to know something? This is stuff that needs to be said, and, quite frankly, I’m fed-up and sick-and-tired of all the “emotional” tantrums and hysterics flying around today by the ‘modern left’. Get control of your emotions, and actually try using true, complete, and accurate ‘facts’, and I (and, I suspect, many other “conservatives”) will be more than willing to have a conversation with anyone.

Why do some conservatives say that conservatism is not anti-homosexual?

Listen to the following prominent conservatives: Jerry Falwell, Anthony Scalia, Pat Robertson, Phil Robertson, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, Mike Huckabee, Franklin Graham, Michelle Bachmann.

Many on this list think that homosexuality should be ILLEGAL. Not just gay marriage, homosexuality in general.

Why do some conservatives say that the left was insensitive in it’s response to the Texas shooting? How is advocating for gun control insensitive?

Social media has erupted with scores of leftists mocking the faithful's declarations of "hopes and prayers,"Liberal actor Michael McKean's mockery takes the contempt to a new low.Responding to House Speaker Paul Ryan's request that people give the victims in Texas their "prayers right now,"McKean wrote: "They were in church. They had the prayers shot right out of them. Maybe try something else." — Michael McKean (@MJMcKean) November 5, 2017McKean's response to what appears to be an anti-Christian bigot shooting up a congregation of Christians is more contempt for people of faith.Other celebrities mocked the prayers of Christians as well. The murdered victims were in a church. If prayers did anything, they'd still be alive, you worthless sack of shit. — Wil Wheaton (@wilw) November 5, 2017Enough with the prayin'. Time to start legislatin'. — Stephen King (@StephenKing) November 5, 2017Respectfully, @SpeakerRyan, you scrotally challenged wonder, those slain were praying in a church. Prayers are not a relevant intervention. Paul Ryan on Twitter — David Simon (@AoDespair) November 5, 2017Innocent people go to church on Sunday to honor their God, and while doing so, get shot in killed. What country? America. Why? Republicans. — Chelsea Handler (@chelseahandler) November 5, 2017The founder of liberal news site the Daily Kos had this to say: “It’s a shame more republicans weren’t shot” [1]https://www.google.com/amp/s/www...Trending #ThoughtsAndPrayers Hashtag Mocks Conservative Responses To Vegas ShootingCelebrities Immediately Call for Gun Control Following Texas Church ShootingThe left has dehumanized conservatives to an extent I’ve never witnessed before in my life.Footnotes[1] 'A shame more Republicans weren't shot,' Twitter user says

Why do some Conservatives say black people were better off in the 1960s?

My old pastor used to say that. The reasons he gave were mainly dealing with family. Prior to the “War on Poverty” black divorce rate was less than whites. Nowadays, over 70% of black children are born to single mothers. Blacks are more likely to have an abortion as Planned Parenthood clinics are found in black neighborhoods (no, I'm not going to talk about how the founder was a racist white nazi who wanted to kill all impure races just that they are found in places with high concentrations of poor people). Heck, blacks in 2010 accounted for 48.7% of all homicide arrests with only 13% of the population. The “War on Poverty” should have been called the “War on Blacks" since proportionally, blacks have suffered the most from this. Prior to the War on poverty act, poverty as a whole was declining. Black poverty had been reduced by half from 1940 to 1965. After it went into effect, black poverty rose. A system that rewards being unwed destroyed the families of poor people. Since blacks had a higher poverty rate than other races in the United States, black families were the most affected. An interesting thing was found: when people cohabitate without marriage vows keeping them together, the hard parts of a marriage results in one leaving the other because “why should I stay?” doesn't have a great answer. This leads to poverty continuing, as families are formed without fathers sticking around. So yes, as a whole, black people were better off in the 1960s prior to the war on poverty and after the Civil Rights Act.

Why do some conservatives say that schools are pushing a liberal agenda?

Because they are, but the push is usually pretty benign and innocuous. Still, it is there.
Let's say a college professor throws a truly liberal idea at his class to make them/force them to think outside of the tight little box they were raised in.
Liberal BIAS! That professor made me think that communism was as valid as capitalism!
Liberal bias, liberal bias, liberal bias!
Creationism is easy but evolution and its' many derivations are more difficult to comprehend. Require a student to expand beyond the writings of Genesis, and you have what? Liberal Bias!
Maintain that Islam and Judaism and Christianity are on a par, and make the students compare them and defend them as thought experiments?
Liberal bias, liberal bias, liberal bias!
Teach the concept of all humans being equal, without regard for birth sexuality, race, nationality, or culture to get the student to expand their own consciousness and learn to appreciate their own values?
You guessed it; Liberal bias, once again.
Or perhaps Secular progressive bias, to escape the term liberal... it makes no difference at all.
Plus there is always a slippery slope. Some university student has the nerve to graduate and open the same dialogue in High School, and now you have a REAL problem!
Liberal bias and poisoning the mind of minors!
Good parents, of course have nothing to fear.
Their children already know right from wrong, and these ideas are only that, ideas.
But for some other parents..it's a threat that undermines their core values!
They should chill.
The kids will all run across these ideas, anyway. The parents may as well just accept that.
But I may have a liberal bias! Look out!
