Who would win a fight between Pitbull and African wild dog?
The African wild Dog can weigh up to 30 kilos with a height of 75 centimeters. Pitbulls are generally slightly smaller but up to 5 kilos heavier as they are more muscular. Both animals are specialized in fighting, with the wild dog mostly hunting and the pitbull just for sports.This means the wild dog will often go for the kill with it’s opponent, trying to bite the throat and do severe damage to the neck. Pitbulls will generally show similar behavior but often will bite and hold whatever they can get. So a pitbull might bite in a leg of the wild dog while the wild dog bites the throat of the pitbull. The wild dog would be crippled but the pitbull would be dead.So, it will come down to their natural defenses. The pitbull is very muscular if well-trained for fighting and those muscles can help protect its neck. It’s neck skin is also quite loose so if he gets bitten in the neck, his opponent will mostly damage the skin and possibly rip parts of it off without doing a lot of lethal damage. The pitbull will need stitches afterwards but this is the most common damage for fighting dogs. (And any limbs that get bitten, crushed and occasionally ripped off.)But the wild dog is more agile, faster and would have a bigger endurance as they need to fight every day of their lives to survive while the average pitbull gets fed by his owner and typically becomes overweight. Wild dogs are especially trained in fighting against bigger predators like hyenas and lions so they know how to dodge attacks and how to get their opponent tired.The pitbull will have the physical strength to kill the wild dog but the wild dog in an open area has a great advantage against the pitbull, as it can maneuver around and get the pitbull tired.Wild dogs and other wild canids have been known to prey upon domestic dogs and often will try to get close to a home to lure the dog out in the open. It will then flee to a more remote area with the dog following it as the wild dog will pick the best spot for a fight. (And sometimes, more wild dogs will be there!) At that remote location where the owner cannot intervene, they will go for the kill and the pet dog will be dinner. And yes, that can happen with pitbulls also!That’s because African wild dogs use their agility and endurance as their main weapons!So, 6 out of 10 times the wild dog will win while 3 out of 10 times, the pitbull will win. That last 1 in 10 is basically a draw where both animals are too tired or hurt to continue fighting.
Why do pit bulls attack their owners? How can this be prevented?
Pit bulls don't attack their owners. Stupid owners get attack by their own dogs. Notice I said “dogs” because any dog can attack their owner if that person is not alpha to them.A pit bull is a powerful dog. Many people who have bad behaving pit bulls are those people who have zero experience with having a powerful breed, or they think they're gangster, or they think it's cool, or they got it for protection.Lack of experience and refusal to hire a trainer is what make an owner stupid and foolish and waiting for a lawsuit to happen, or worse, a dead child. Yeah, not so funny to be stupid.Thinking that a pit bull is gangster is just as stupid as thinking being in a gang is gangster. If you can't handle a tiny chihuahua then there's no reason to get a pit. Obviously needing to belong in a gang means you're no leader, you're a follower, and dogs don't follow followers.A pit bull isn't cool. It's a dog, a specific dog and it is a living, breathing life form. It is not a fad or the flavour of the month. There's nothing cool about having to surrender your cool dog because you were too cool to provide training. A dog is part of the family. You want something cool then go for an ice cream or Popsicle.A pit bull is not really a protection dog. There's a reason why police don't use pit bulls. There's a reason why military don't use pit bulls. Sure, they can be trained to protect, but they're not for that. Want a real protection dog get a Rottweiler or any large herding dog, or even the mastiff type dogs, then you'll see a real protection type dog.How do you prevent from being bit by your own dog? Train it and always remain alpha. It doesn't mean be aggressive, it means you dominate and own and control everything. It means you make the dog earn everything. Make them sit, make them go down, make them look at you and not at what it is they want. Everything is yours, even strangers, kids, family, friends. They must know that they hold delta position in relation to everything and everyone.
