Why Do Some People Hold Their Selves Back From Achieving Their Goals When Nobody Else Is Stopping

How can i stop getting angry at my boyfriend over nothing?

think about how long he will stay with you if your constantly getting pissed at him, sooner or later he'll get tired of it and dump you then you'll realize you were taking him for granted and shouldn't have been doing that to him. just remember to appreciate him and let him be. maybe try watching a tv show on a computer while he plays his games and if hes falling asleep at 7 pm its not you he obv is ridiculously tired, just try and chill and realize how good of a guy you have!

I can't stop thinking getting revenge.?

Sometimes revenge is the next logical step for people. The real trick for me is that I always see the spiritual connection between people and things. I know that not forgiving someone who has perceivably wronged me is like me drinking poison and expecting them to die. I'm only hurting myself with these types of emotions and although hurting them may give temporary relief it's nothing compared to the wisdom and truth of being the more advanced personality of the situation. Forgiving them will also sow more benefits than doing something bad. Revenge usually involves some type of lawbreaking or rights violation. Whether it be simply to humiliate them or slander, to actual physical violence, I'm pretty sure jail isn't the proper place to sort your anger to. It's your translations of these individuals that cause the anger, not the individuals themselves. What they did isn't as bad as what you're seeing it to be. Nobody can humiliate you without your permission. Nobody can make you feel fear, they can startle you, but they cannot jump inside of the process that is you and make you feel that specific emotion. Likewise with love, nobody can make you feel it. They can suggest and sway and persuade and influence, but they cannot physically grab hold of it and make it be a certain way. If you want to stop thinking about revenge, that's a very good idea. Stop thinking about it. Surprise yourself everytime you do think about it. In Alcoholics Anonymous they say that an addiction cannot simply be let go but replaced. You must replace your habitual revenge thoughts with something else. Everytime you think of revenge play a nice piece of music that makes you feel uplifted. Sing a song to yourself, or promise to make a nice pleasant gesture to the next human being you see, planning out the gesture in lieu of the revenge thoughts. As you cut off revenge from being entertained in your mind, in time the thoughts will fall away completely and you will now be free.

What’s holding you back from excelling in your goals?

Thanks for the request! I like this question, it’s one interesting subject. In interpreting your sentence, I believe the subsequent interrogation is: Why aren’t you succeeding/excelling at your goals?First things first. Define the goals. This first step is already a tough one and many people could get it wrong from this phase forward. I see two kinds of goals: personal and professional ones. Knowing your goals requires to be aware of your skills, potential and purpose. This is your package, your value.Once you have vague ideas of what you want to achieve, you put KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). The easier road is to cut your horizons in short-, mid- and long-terms. 1-year: what are your short-term goals?; 3-year: what are your mid-term goals?; 5-year onward: what are your long-term goals? Then, any organised and rigorous person would set up a roadmap in order to get sh*t done, right? Break it down in streams. Pure project management. Hell, you could even create a Gantt chart! Now, here is my truth.Remember when I talked about knowing your potential and purpose? This is a forever ongoing process. This is called life. Every smart human being changes its mind, evolves depending on its environment, entourage and life events. Life is not a project. I believe life is not about never ending goals setting. What if you have set the wrong goals? How will that make you feel? How will others see you? A failure, probably. No one wants to feel like that. Why torturing yourself? To answer the question, one is being held back from succeeding by setting the wrong goals and cultivating the wrong mindset.I think to live the best life and feel complete, one should work (and set a routine and followup) on the following:Purpose: what am I meant to do with this life? How do I want to be remembered?Resilience: how am I navigating change? How do I recover and how did it transform me?Bucket-list: most importantly, have fun! The bucket-list is something you could manage like a project. Don’t censor yourself, be creative, the crazier the better! It’ll keep you going. Thanks for reading!

What is the one thing that stops you from achieving your dreams?

The thing that stops you from achieving your dreams isTHE FEAR OF FAILINGWe are all always worried and scared about how life turns out to be. Isn't that the reason why the whole herd of students run behind becoming an engineer, thinking that it's the safest bet. Little do we know that it isn't. Most of tend to discover our new talents halfway during our engineering courses. Don't we? Yet most of them do not pursue it just due to their fear.I have a beautiful example of my bestfriend Kushaal Wadhwani , cricketer. He so patient, hopeful and optimistic in life that he's been waiting for 11 years and is ready to wait for probably the next few births. Not once has he felt like giving up. He doesn't fear failure as he has been disappointed at several stages. He is so detered to achieve and happily accepts failure because dar ke aage jeet hai! He's so brave to break the barricades of the society and work towards his goal. Generally, you get to hear all these nosy aunties being themselves and telling him to study and not waste time behind cricket as their fear him not becoming one.He doesn't get selected at times even though he tops the lists at selections. Well, that's plain cricket politics. Did I mention he's a bowler? I don't really know of what sort but he is. Knowing the situation of our team it's evident to a dumbo at cricket that we need better bowlers but the selectors are plain partial. Yet, he's calm like a Saadhu baba. Anyway he's played Karnataka Prime ere League. And I wish to see him in the Indian team very very very soon. I just wish we too don't fear failure and be detered. Then nothing can stop us from success.P S: there might be headlines of my bestfriend murdering me for tagging him

How do I stop comparing myself to others? Everyday I compare others around me and think they have better, happier lives than I do. I always think they are smarter and more involved socially.

I think i have a perfect example of why we should not compare ourselves. This is story about three friends including me among them.It began with an awesome picture.Five years BackThere were three friends those were in their 12th standard all want to achieve success in their life.Success in their own opinions. One friend A was excellent in academics who always make fun of Friend B and Friend C because they are not of that level.Friend B(Me) always stay unhappy because of A making fun of them but Friend C never compare him and stay happy(Because he knew academic success is not the only success).Friend A Got really good marks and Got admission in some great NIT engineering college.Friend B got a medium level of college and Friend C didn’t get any college he started his own business.Friend A always thought that he is very smart and success than these two and always laugh at Friend B and C.Current TimeFriend A is working at 25K a month in TCS consultancy. And there are lakhs of employ like him in that company. He still compares himself to Friend B and C but now he felt really sad because he can’t make any fun of them,Friend B is me Abhishek Dhiman I am studying in computer science department o IIT Bombay.I think I not successful but happy that I never make fun of anyone and believe in myself.Friend C was really a champion because he never wastes time in comparing himself and never stop he believe in himself. His business chain is one of the best chains in our area.He earns lakhs in just weeks but he never makes fun of anyone. His thinking was academic Success is not the only success.Lessons from the storyBelieve in yourself you have what it take’s to be a successful person.Never compare yourself to anyone less or more strong, less or more smarter, less or more skilled etc.Because you never know what the future.Academic success is not the only success every parent should understand this point. Please do upvote if you like the answer that would motivate me in writing more.Happy Reading.

How can I stop being jealous of other peoples' beauty?

I've never been considered a dyme or anything, I'm not ugly but I'm not a girl you would see on the street and go damnnnnnnnnn she's fine. Everytime I see one of those girls I remember that I'm not her and probably never will be. I'm a plus size girl this is an issue, I'm biracial this is an issue, and I'm officially an old maid this year~~no kids and still not married. I'm feeling pretty low about myself today, especially at the start of the Fall trimester and these beautiful 21 year olds are gracing the hallways of school. Whats a vette to do?

I feel like a nobody. How do I stop it?

you need to join a group or sport team. Something that will expose you to different groups of people that have common interests or goals.
Do you go to school or hold a job. Do you go to a gym etc.
Place yourself in public places to give you chances to speak to someone or give them a chance to speak to you and know you. As you cant have anyone if you don't allow anyone to know you first.
I don't know you, but I do care about your well being. I sometimes feel like an outcast in certain situations or places.
I place myself where I can see others; maybe sitting on a bench feeding the ducks in my park near me. Sometimes if someone is near I can say hi. Sometimes they say something back. Sometimes it just gives me a chance to speak up and offer a smile. People will reply back to me more times than not. By doing this whenever I see them I build up more confidence to find out more about them or allow them into my comfort zone to get to know me better.

In some ways parents and family does count as they can be a foundation for you to build courage up to speak to others .
Even if you think no one else is with you. God is there watching over you and waiting to hear you pray and converse with him. Ask Him to open a new door or path in your life. That will lead you to know people or will bring them to you.
You have to make to first move though.

Why are Scorpios so blessed?? Its like theyre magical!?

It can't be you, you home wrecker. I put my life on hold for you, waited for you to come back, but nooooo. Go scr*w yourself and the Taurus, I'm not paying attention to you anymore.

I'm an extremely lazy, unmotivated, helpless, hopeless, loser, with no money. What do I do?

I think more people than you think can relate to your situation..i know someone who had all your symptoms and let everything get on top of them because they had very little motivation to even get out of bed..

this friend of mine went to the doctor and got anti depressants but these made her feel worse.
what worked for her was talking about her problems and getting a schedule together to work through what was going on and to take each task one at a time rather than seeing a whole burden..The person she talked to created the work schedule..as it was easier from their perspective...Share your story with friends and loved ones and they will help you despite what you think, you think you have nobody to talk to but you really do..My friend is doing great now..and felt that she was looking at things with the wrong perspective.it took others perspectives to see the real truth.. That's what worked for her anyhow.
I hope this helps you.
everything will be okay...just don't bottle thing up..you have taken the first step now by talking on-line.I wish you the best.
P.S always try to socialise it may seem difficult but it really is the easiest way to lighten the load..
