Why Do The Back Of My Legs Hurt

Why do my legs hurt so much after I do squats?

Hello, your legs hurt because, maybe it has been a long time since your muscles have worked against resistance. Could be the lactic acid build-up [ after the fact ] within muscle tissues. Kinda like someone training for a race, in the beginning he /she will be gaspping for air. As their muscles adapt and the person learns how-to breathe, the runner will be able to go on longer. Otherwise.Keep on truckin’…& good luck in the future!!

Why do my legs hurt when I sleep?

These last few weeks, every time I sleep I wake up in the middle of the night due to a weird pain in my legs and sometimes in my lower back. It's like a piercing pain that won't go away. It's not too bad on my back but on my legs it's horrible. I feel it a little more toward my knees. I have to sleep on my side, bend my knees, and pull them to my chest so the pain subsides. It's only when I sleep too. Never when I am awake. I haven't changed my diet, or any exercise patterns. Can anyone tell me why this annoying pain?

Whenever im high up, or if i watch something on TV where they are high up, and look down it makes the back of my legs hurt. Its like a dull pain that comes and goes its really weird, is it my bodys reaction to the fear of height?

Why do my legs hurt the day after bowling?

This is most likely because you don't go bowling regularly, so when you go bowling you are working/using muscles that you do not usually work day to day, nothing to worry about, you should be back to normal in a day or so.

Why do my legs hurt if I stand for long hours?

Although we’re constantly being told that we should spend more time on our feet and less time sitting down, standing for too long can actually cause aches, pains and long term health problems. In our leg muscles is something called the venous pump. Every time we take a step, our muscles tense which squeezes blood up from our lower limbs back towards the heart. There are even vales in the veins which are designed to control the direction of blood flow. The problem with standing on one spot is that these muscles aren’t being used, making the heart do all of the work. Over time, this leads to fatigue but also muscle aches. In fact a study by Loughborough University found that discomfort starts after just 90 minutes of standing up.To combat this, try to move about more. Take short walks, and engage your muscles by lifting yourself on to your tip toes several times. If you can’t avoid standing stationary, try using an anti-fatigue mat. The soft surface is not only more comfortable to stand on, but it creates a small amount of instability which encourages your leg muscles to work, triggering the venous pump. Anti-Fatigue mats have been proven to reduce the discomfort caused by standing for long periods of time.

I had sex and my butt and legs hurt?

I had sex for the second time yesterday and the first time we did it, I could barely walk the next day, my right leg was hurting so much. This time it's not so much my leg as it is my butt and like lower back. Is it still because of the positioning? Does this go away after you have sex a few more times?

My hair on my legs hurt?

It might be the way you shave your legs. Shaving them every day is bad. Only shave them when needed, like going out, or wearing skirts/shorts.
First put your legs under warms water because it softens the skin and makes it easier to shave.
Put plenty of shaving cream on.
Shave down your legs, rinse, then shave up the leg.

I used to shave so much just because my leg hairs would bother me so much, and my legs had those goosebumps like you said. Now I shave only when I need to, and this may sounds gross but I'm not the type of person to grow out so not shaving for 2 weeks is okay for me. It's not like anyone will see it. But when I do shave, my legs are soooooo soft because I hadn't shaved in so long. Going longer without shaving makes your legs smoother. Believe me, and it also goes for underarms.
Hope I helped! :)

Why do my legs hurt when I bench press?

You're most likely sliding your feet too far back in your attempts to use your legs go push off the floor and add a bit of power go your bench press. You shouldn't slide your foot so far back that your heel comes off the ground. Slide it back only to the furthest position you can where you're still flat-footed.Like that dude in the picture from the above answer? Way too far back. Terrible form. Asking for knee ligament strain, or hyper extension. Don't do it! Please. Your ACL will thank you.Besides, the amount of added help you can generate from the legs while benching is vastly overrated. Always has been. I've tried it and compared it to my 1RM with feet on the bench.guess what? No discernible difference! The foot push thing is mostly psychological. (like placing a hand over each knee and pushing slightly when doing leg presses on the Sled Press.) Anybody who knows body mechanics, kinesiology, can see that there's really no viable physical power vector to enable legs pushing on floor, while supine, to translate into pectoral, shoulder, or triceps power. Which are of course the muscles doing the lifting. If legs DID help, then placing them on the bench would be a more effective position, right? That configures a straighter vector. But they don't, do they? That's why we do squats and dead lifts for legs. Not bench press. LOLHope this helps.
