Why Do They Down Play That Ebola Remains In Seminal Fluids Up To 3 Months Not 21days Allowing For

Why do people think Ebola is gonna kill us all and it's the end of the world?

Well, it's not going to end the world. It never has.

You see, Ebola is just the current darling of the world. Before this, we had AIDS, starting in the 1980s. Same thing. Even suggested quarantine on an island and extermination. We're still here. In fact, the people with it as still having sex without a care in some cases, spreading it on more. Before that, small pox (which hit the Indians hard), bubonic plague and so on. Deaths have been up to 200 MILLION from the plague. And, this was at a time when the world population was a lot less than it is today. China could loose that many and would never notice. Last I saw, Africa has most of the AIDS cases, and there are still plenty of people living there, as represented by the current losses of over 3,300.

Currently, if I recall correctly, there are three strains. They run from 60% to 90% fatality. So, even at worst, 10% of the infected will survive. And, you KNOW that Obama, Clinton, Bush, Putin, and other world leaders will do everything in their rich power to survive. So, unless you are poor or "of color," you don't have anything to worry about. That is part of the reason that Obama didn't send help in the first place. How many people in the US care about Africans?

There are very few things that will end the world. Nuclear war could, an asteroid, and a "zombie" outbreak, which is impossible. It would have to have nearly 100% fatality and the ability to infect people, no natural immunity, and this is rare.

My problem is that human stupidity will cost too many lives by playing games with it. We have had regular outbreaks of Ebola for the last 50+ years, since it was discovered. It could have been around longer than that, assuming it isn't man made. This is the first time, thanks to stupidity, that it has every claimed this many lives. Even if it would hit 200 million, the world would still go on. In fact, it would lower the carrying capacity to balance it out some. Everything naturally seeks a level.

Why don't American Nurses and Doctors from Ebola Infected areas go into voluntary isolation for 21 days before they come back?

While it's a nice idea, the logistics would be incredibly difficult to enforce.
Remember that there are no direct flights from Liberia to the US, so all of these people are coming to the US from other countries. The second you enforce mandatory quarantines is the second you have people lying about where they were and what they were doing there. The second you ban international flights or west African people from using international flights into the US is the second they start trying to get out of their countries and into other countries illegally....where we have no remote ability to track them. Logistically, who is going to pay to keep all of these doctors and nurses in mandatory confined locations? Who is going to monitor them 24/7? Further, part of the problem is that congress is on vacation until after the November elections, so they can't make this law while on vacation anyway.

Why does nuclear charge not decrease down a group?

You may be confusing a couple of related concepts. Nuclear charge is dependent solely on the number of protons in the nucleus. Each proton carries a relative charge of +1, and as the number of protons increases (down a column, for instance) the nuclear charge will also increase.

In addition to the actual nuclear charge there is something called the "effective nuclear charge". This is the charge that the nucleus appears have when you consider an electron in the atom. Consider the outermost electron in sodium, for example, it is located in the 3s sublevel. Not only is the outermost electron attracted to the 11 protons (charge of +11) in the nucleus, but it is also repelled by the other ten electrons. The net effect is the same as if there were only two or three electrons in the nucleus. This is called "effective nuclear charge". It is the effective charge "felt" by an electron when you take into account the actual number of positive charges in the nucleus and the number of negative charges between the nucleus and the electron. The effective nuclear charge can be calculated using Slater's Rules. http://intro.chem.okstate.edu/WorkshopFo...

The bottom line is that effective nuclear charge for all of the elements in the same column will be very close to the same value.

========= Follow up ==========

Be certain that elements experience no "desperation" when it comes to electrons. It is a myth that elements become more stable by losing an electron. If that were true, then metals would be spontaneously forming positively charged ions, and that simply isn't the case. In all cases, an input of energy (called ionization energy) is required to remove an electron from an atom, even francium (if you could find any). In fact, most elements have a small to moderately large negative electron affinity, meaning that even metals will decrease in potential energy by gaining an electron. But there are no negative electron affinities for gaining two electrons. This means that no element will decrease in potential energy by gaining two electrons.

The ideas behind ion formation and atoms becoming "more stable" is poorly understood by chemistry students and teachers alike, and this leads to a lot of misinformation as indicated by Alan's remarks.

When naming diseases in a sentence, do you capitalize them?

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Anyone with Hiv willing to talk with me about it?

Hey bud.I have been positive for nearly 7 yrs.I gave up sex the day I found out because I don't want anyone to go through what I have.I can't even think about falling in love. That's how I got it.It has turned my life upside down.It is starting to affect parts of my life now.I get severe fatigue and nausea and loss of appetite.I suffer severe bouts of depression,I can't work in construction anymore.I went from making 2000 a week to 300 a week on disability. It really sucks but there is nothing I can do about it.

What is Zika?Zika, dengue and chikungunya are all RNA viruses and each of them are transmitted by mosquitoes Aedes aegypti. These mosquitoes are quite common in Brazil and Columbia. It is to be noted that Columbia has the highest number of Zika cases after Brazil. How to stop the spread of Zika virusThe spread of—another viral disease after Ebola—has emerged on the global scene; we are facing a new type of dreadful primordial threat to human being. Defeating Zika requires a concerted efforts that encompasses innovation in technology and policy.Spraying insecticidesBrazilian president has dispatched 200,000 troops for spraying insecticides, finding out the pools of standing water and creating awareness among people. These methods really work. Brazil has done it before in 1942 to control yellow fever. Other countries in Latin America have also done it successfully. The only problem with such methods is that they are time taking—which is unfortunately not at our side, but this is more effective than technological solutions. “We need to be more anticipatory in where the virus is going,” Dr. Peter Hotez, dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine said, “Start taking steps now for aggressive mosquito control where we know the virus is and where we know it is going and providing active public health recommendations.”Tracking the diseaseTracking the disease can be also effective way to control the outbreak of disease. New technologies such as big data models can be used to predict the next destination of the outbreak of diseases. Tracking the cell phone movements can be good way to record the movements of their owners. This method has already been used effectively in Africa to control Malaria and Pakistan.   I have written a detailed post regarding the issue: How to Stop The Spread Of Zika  Virus
