Why Do We Have A Bedroom Tax That Effectivley Forces Poor Uk People From Their Homes

Do people in America get left to die if they can't afford healthcare as they don't have NHS?

Sort of. If you go to a hospital emergency room, they’re required by law to stabilize your condition. That’s great if you’re having a heart attack just then. However, it’s only until they get you stable. You don’t get rehab if you’ve had a heart attack, you don’t get any ongoing treatment if you’ve got cancer, and so on. So while you won’t be left to die that minute if you were going to die otherwise, they won’t really help you get better or correct underlying problems.Health insurance will pay for a percentage of ongoing care and medications, but even if you do have it, some of the cost comes out of your pocket, so if you’re insured but poor, you often simply can’t afford chemotherapy for cancer, surgery for heart problems, and so on. A variety of public insurance programs (Medicare, Medicaid, aspects of the Affordable Healthcare Act) are meant to fill those gaps, but there are still issues, and today the House of Representatives has voted to gut the system in favor of tax cuts for the rich. If you’re suffering a crisis, you can get help regardless of your ability to pay, but the system as constituted is perfectly willing to let the less-than-wealthy die slowly at home.

Why do many parents force their children to do chores?

I have a 17 year old cousin who I had to BABYSIT for 2 nights because the boy has no freaking clue. His mother has given him no chores or responsibility. At 17 he cannot cook using a stove or a microwave, I find out from asking him while here that he has no clue how to sweep, while he was here he even asked me how to use a washer because he has never had to use one.

Chores set your kids up for life skills. You are not going to live forever, and your children need to be able to take care of themselves. If they cannot it's going to be on you.

And instead of your mantra of "i can get it done in half the time and do a better job" how about teach them how to do it in half the time, and how to do it properly?

What is the bedroom tax in Britain?

The so-called “bedroom tax” was a (misguided) attempt by the UK government to decrease the number of unoccupied rooms in private properties by placing a levy on homeowners for those unoccupied rooms. The intention of the policy was to ease the UK’s current housing crisis (especially in urban areas and specifically London) by either increasing the amount of rented accommodation or at least provide extra revenue to solve the crisis through other means (such as building more homes). The policy was misguided because it only served to anger homeowners (especially those who had spare rooms but little money to pay an extra levy). It also entirely failed to solve the actual reason for the crisis, namely, the government’s refusal to build homes.Instead, successive governments in the U.K. of both parties have relied on the market whose purpose is to make a profit, not to build as many homes as are needed which would reduce demand and therefore the price of houses.

Conservatives, what part of government do you want to cut?

I agree with you as far as "conservatives" go, but let me give you the Libertarian answer. We don't believe in NO government, but rather we believe that government has a LIMITED role as laid out in the Constitution. Not everything is a public good and therefore government should stick to that which is. These would be infrastructure and defense type issues.

With that being said allow me to give you my own opinions on the right cuts and why;

1. Defense spending: it takes up 65% of our budget and pays for over 730 military installations throughout the planet. I think we can all at least somewhat agree that our military has become far to overreaching. We are not, nor should we be the world's police force, and if the U.N. has a problem with that, then they can just have a problem I guess. I think we could easily shut down 65% of these bases and have plenty of manpower to enforce our own borders instead of worrying about the borders of every other nation in the world. Coincidentally these bases are the reason that we experience so much hostility towards America, kind of like the Roman empire 2000 years ago, and the English empire 230 years ago.

2. The Department of Energy: It was created in 1977 by the Carter administration to REDUCE our dependence on foreign oil. EPIC FAIL!! need I say more?

The reality is that as Reagan said "government is not the answer, government is the problem". I ask you, do you really trust the government enough to always take care of you properly? Name one government bureaucracy that has not failed?

There is a lot more, but you get my point.

A wife that stubbornly refuses to have sex with her husband at least 3-4 times a week is a bad wife! Agree?

Well, well, well...people! Such hostility is completely unwarranted. First of all, do not direct your anger specifically at me. I don't have this problem with my wife, thank god! We started off 17 years ago like rabbits, and we remain physically intimate whenever she wants and whenever I want. Sometimes that is multiple times a day and sometimes 1 or 2 times a week. I can't imagine it otherwise. But, quite a few of my friends seem to be suffering with the lack of physical intimacy from their wives. Nothing physically wrong with them, no depression, just withholding sex for chores. And not a single wife is earning nearly as much and a few are not working at all. And a couple do not have any children either! Seems that my buddies are just dealing with stubborn women that are demanding and have changed the arrangement under which they were married. I think it is implicit that the wife agrees to want to have sex with her husband should things be okay in their relationship. Why not?!

Housing Prices in the United Kingdom: What would be the most effective and fastest way of reducing the average cost per home in the South of England?

It's not rocket science but I fear that since so many people are enjoying the value of their house going up, not least the people in power, this would never be done. Three policies at the same time.Step one ( and a great job creation scheme)Evaluate the value of every dwelling in the country. Not that hard with the data available and technology. Step two. Introduce a policy where property taxes are linked as a ratio of dwelling value. Property bands are a total joke? Would we ever think about doing that with income tax? It makes zero sense. Step three. Every dwelling sold is now migrated onto these new property taxes linked  only to home value. "Stamp duty - again what idiot came up with this? " is abolished but annual property taxes are significantly higher. Expensive large properties that you have bought, should incur a significant burden. ( have you seen US property taxes, the rich pay a fortune in most areas, sometimes 5% of home value per year) , as such people who are choosing to buy expensive homes are penalized heavily. Step four.Homes reappraised for value every few years to check for home improvements. Policy two.Second homes pay a slightly greater tax rate. ( right now it's much less, CRAZY!!!) .This again to be fair should only be applied to new sales.  Perhaps it should be 25% more than first home. Third homes should attract 30% tax increase and so on.Policy three. Get imaginative with planning permission. We are a crowded nation and an especially crowded region but typical reasons to worry about congestion and limit development are gradually being removed. I'd hope that car club schemes, bike rental schemes, more working from home and smaller living units with better designs are all things that have changed to allow better use of space.Lets sell off some air rights over train lines and build some modern mixed use developments. Lets make every new retail development have apartments above it. Lets build dense tall incredible units about transport nodes. Lets allow sustainable buildings on farmland so long as it meets uber right requirements. What is holding us back? This is one of the most important things for the UK now and nobody seems to be applying an ounce of creativity or innovation to it.
