Why Do We Pay To Live

How much do you pay your live out Nanny?

Well it depends what her experience is and what you can afford.

I am a nanny and I have made anywhere from $10.00 per hour up to $13.00 per hour, I was once offerd $16. per hour from a family where both parents were doctors. My current nanny position pays $11.00 per hour because that was what we agreed on. My experience (over 18 years) really allows me to charge more but we agreed on $11. because that is what they could afford. It works out nice for me as she is a teacher and I get summers and vacations off and they live really close to me so I didn't mind taking less. That is for 8 month old twin boys. It's a little over 42 hours per week so it's about $467. a week.

I wouldn't pay anyone less than $10. per hour. I live in Connecticut and have 4 boys of my own.

Why do we pay the rent?

Some assets (items that have value) can be too expensive to own. They either require a large amount of money to buy them outright, or you use them so rarely that you cannot justify buying them.In this case, you may choose to rent the asset. As the renter, you do not have to find all the cash up front. The owner of the asset can then make a return on their cash that would otherwise be stuck under the mattress not doing anything. In an ideal world, both parties gain.Since you said ‘the rent’ I assume you mean property, rather than other commonly rented items like vehicles, tools and machinery. In this case, you are paying for the use of a generally very expensive asset. Instead of having to find the complete cost of the property up front, you can just pay the owner a smaller amount regularly to have use of it.The practice of people with money being able to invest it and get a return is called ‘capitalism’, and has been the basis of most western countries for the last couple of hundred years. There are alternative systems, like communism, where all assets are owned by everyone, although many ‘communist’ countries currently in existence have considerable elements of capitalism.

Why do we have to pay to live on Earth?

If everything was free everything would be gone in an instant, no more food, probably be overcrowded population, no place for people to live, ect..
I wish I was a wild koala all they do is sleep and eat. That's the life :)

Why do Xbox players have to pay for Xbox Live still?

As an avid Xbox user, I have a good reason. Xbox Live is a very good service which connects millions of people across the world, and doing that with minimal lag is impressive (granted, its not as good as it could be). Maintenance if the servers are only part of it, hiring the people to run everything and fix bugs and crashes. It may sound inexpensive, but when you're running a network that spans much of the globe, it's going to cost a pretty penny. This goes with why Xbox Live users say for the service. We realize the money goes into providing a very fun and connective service which we can enjoy at any time. Yes, some part of it goes to Microsoft as profits, what company dosen’t do that? They're still a business and needs to make money, not just consistently break even. So all in all, while it's not a perfect service (what us?) Xbox Live's costs may be pricy (perhaps a bit much so at times) but it is very worth it and very understandable, which is why gamers continue to pay the cost.

Why do humans have to pay to live on planet earth?

I think you are right to feel this way, and to feel that we should be better than this. it shows you are a thinking and feeling and caring person. The fact is that humans are hard wired for survival above all else and survival means ensuring that you have the things you need to get a mate and to survive in times of hardship. Therefore, we have greed and people claiming land, and resources. Land ownership is the basis of a capitalistic society and it is defended by groups of people with the most weapons and man power, therefore we have military and wars and land disputes over history. Therefore we have racial tension and hate and bigotry that is hard to make "go away." Cultures have long memories.

Read some Karl Polanyi, Karl Marx, John Smith and take some economics and political science classes. It will all be more clear. Communism is about everyone sharing common resources but it hasn't historically worked because of the greed thing again, corruption always takes hold no matter who is in control or how altruistic their intentions may be. Human nature is not really that evolved, because we are still hard-wired for survival and always will be selfish at the core - in my opinion.

I am not pessimistic about human nature but realistic about why we have to have money, possess land and the like. I think that we are figuring out that we have to care of things in common more with the ecological implications of global warming and the loss of fisheries and farm-land and habitat, etc. Maybe you should research native American cultures and compare them to ours to see the differences more clearly?

Do I need to pay for Xbox Live on my Xbox One or is it free?

There are two Xbox Live memberships: free and gold.  In the past, you needed a gold membership to do just about anything on Xbox Live, including use entertainment apps like Netflix or ESPN.  That's changed recently: now you can use a free account and still access streaming video apps and things like Skype.  A free account also gives you access to the market, where you can buy games.  You'll need a gold account for multiplayer. Xbox recently changed gold accounts to be a little better bargain by offering "Deals with Gold" and "Games with Gold", programs which offer discounts on some games and content.   A gold membership costs $60 dollars a year, which as others have noted comes out to $5/month. Here's a link to a decent chart showing what you get with a gold subscription:  Xbox Live Gold. I could not find anything that directly compared what you can do with a free account.  Microsoft also has a FAQ for Xbox Live gold memberships here:  Xbox Live Gold Changes FAQ.

Paying for live webcams (porn)?

Realised for the whole four year of our relationship my partner has been paying to watch live webcam porn and tipping to get them to do what he wants.

More upset about this as ages ago he mentioned how he would never go to a strip club and pay for a dance etc as its wrong when your in a relationship, but is this not ten times worse? Paying and chatting to a girl to get her to do what you want?

Think what upsets me the most is I always asked what type of porn he was into, as i wouldnt mind just normal porn thought maybe we could watch it together. But he always pied me off saying he hardly watches it etc so obviously didnt tell me because he knew.I wouldnt like it, which hurts more as he did it anyway.

In my opinion its not cheating, but i dont think it can be classed as just porn. I feel really embarrassed that he is resorting to paying for it when he has me my self esteem has went so low.

Anyone been through this or whats your opinion onp paying to watch a girl on cam and tip her to do what you want when your in a relationship?
