Why Do You Gleek Sometimes And Other Times Not What Is The Purpose Of It

Sometimes when i open my mouth a squirt of water comes out...???

Okay this is really weird i know, but ill open my mouth and yawn and its like a mini squirt bottle is in my mouth and it will squirt out a little spit, its really weird it doesnt bother me i just want to know why i have it

Why are yawns sometimes synchronized or sympathetic between two or more people?

This is actually an answer I wrote to someone else’s similar question but I think it will do for this one as well. This is actually somewhat of a mystery for biologists.Only chimps and humans engage in sympathetic yawning. In one study, people were shown photos of people yawning. 41% of females and 32% of males would yawn in response to viewing the photos. The older the participants in the study were, the less likely they were to engage in sympathetic yawning.I have a personal hypothesis as to why we higher apes have this response. We have something called mirror neurons located at various places throughout our brains, primarily in our premotor and somatosensory cortexes. Theses neurons allow us to mimic activities we observe other people engaging in.You actually may notice this most when someone waves at you. You will feel compelled to wave back, regardless of whether or not you know the person waving at you because the neurons that order your muscles to wave have actually already fired and it takes executive function from your frontal and prefrontal cortexes to suppress the response. There is actually a rare neurological condition called mirror-touch synesthesia where the sufferer’s mirror neurons are so hyper active that they can literally feel other peoples sensory inputs. It’s horrible for them to eat meals with others because they can feel food being shoved into their own mouths as they watch other people consume their meals. You may have more active than average mirror neurons.

Why do I sometimes have the feeling of a constant yawn, especially after working out?

No one knows. The signals that tell you to yawn are somewhere in the 'primal' area of your brain. This basically means you have no control. (You are also not supposed to be able to make yourself yawn, but I've been doing it all day.)Surfing the net I found that a fetus on the first trimester of its life yawns,a paralyzed person can yawn, using the muscles that are paralyzed and that the Greeks thought yawning was a way to heal a fever - out with the bad air, in with the good.Science has suggested that yawning is a basic form of communication. So those folks that interpret yawning to 'say' 'I'm tired,I need more sleep', or 'I'm bored' are probably right.

Why is that sometimes when I talk fast or I am yawning, water is squirted out of my mouth involuntarily? Why does it happen?

Um, I think, I know what you are talking about. It's called gleeking†.I can't vouch for its authenticity, but according to Urban Dictionary, the term originated from a cartoon character:Originated from the 70's superhero cartoon Spaceghost where a space monkey character named Gleek from the planet Exxor would often spit from under his tongue. The word 'gleeking' was derived from this action. Why does it happen?Sometimes, when you move your tongue/mouth in a certain manner, you end up putting pressure on the sublingual salivary glands located under the tongue. Found the image by GooglingAs a result, the pressure squeezes the glands, thereby forcing the saliva in them in form of a spray. Here's a video I found on YouTube:Is it normal? It is normal. Even I have done it a few times involuntarily and have seen others do it, too. I had a friend who could do it voluntarily. In fact, one of his things was to stand behind unsuspected folks and spray at the back of their necks. What a dick! :D† Not to be confused with Shakespearean gleek, which means:‘to trick; to make a gibe or jest (at a person)

When I open my mouth sometimes saliva sprays out without my knowledge. Why?

Actually salvia sprays out of mouth of many individuals during talkingThe mechanism of speech includes coordination between lips, tongue, soft palate, uvula, hardpalate and the mandible when we utter a single word our tongue moves between our maxillary incsiors and rugae region of palate ( longitudinal soft tissue elevations on our palate are known as rugae) Also our soft palate and uvula ( soft musculae structure at the end of oral cavity is uvula) moves with speech The saliva secreted from salivary glands keeps aacumlating in our oral cavity The three major salivary glands release their secretion at different locations in oral cavity Their is one called sublingual salivary gland which releases its secretion just below the tongue If you have habbit of keeping saliva for long time within mouth then the sliva will become thick and will deposit on surfaces of tongue Also some may have problem of excessive salivary secretion So when you open your mouth to vocalize an word with tongue movement and movement of other structures the saliva gets displaced and some part of it gets spit during speakingThe best and easy thing you can do to avoid this is swallow the saliva before speaking Also their are other factors like type of tongue movements an individual makes while speaking, language you speak also the tone (nasal, oral or oronasal) if you have oral tone then this incidence is normalAlso the closure of lips if their is space between upper & lower lip during rest then also this incident occurs occasionallySo always try to speak after swallowing the saliva and control the speed of speech

All the songs sung by Kurt Hummel in Glee.?

I'm a huge fan of Chris Colfer's amazing voice as well. At the risk of being overly detailed, I am going to provide you with a list of songs by episode, source and other relevant information. I should note that I will provide the sources relevant to only SOLO songs by 'Kurt', rather than include the many references of GLEE that include him in the chorus. So, here's your answer:

Episode 1: PILOT: "Mr. Cellophane", from the original cast of 'Chicago'.

Episode 9: WHEELS: "Defying Gravity" from "The Wiz". *There are three separate tracks of this song: one with 'Kurt's' Solo, one with 'Rachel's" solo and of course, the collaborative product - the two together. The solo by Chris is great but all the versions are not to be missed.

Episode 15: THE POWER OF MADONNA: "4 Minutes to Save the World". (Duet with Mercedes).

Episode 16: HOME: "A House Is Not a Home". by Dion Warwick. *I have to say that, to date, this is the most impressive and emotionally significant performance provided by Chris Colfer. Beautiful and sad, it's a brilliant performance.

Episode 17: LARYNGITIS: "Pink Houses" by John Melencamp. Uh. You be the judge. I hated this song.

All the songs noted above are available for download.

Either way, I strongly urge you NOT to use bearshare or other less reputable sources. Viruses will follow.

Hope this was adequate friend! Good luck!

What's something you can do that most people can't do?

What an interesting question! How could I pass this off?I have a superpower. I use it to win over kids.Let me explain. You see, I’m a shy-ish person. Talking to people isn’t ‘my thing’. I’m not a people-pleaser by demeanour.I’m also not the friendliest-looking guy in a room. Multiple people have told me I seem unapproachable in the beginning. Some think I’m an uptight asshole at first sight. I don’t blame them.I’m pretty aware I might not look like the person kids wanna play with. In fact, there have been instances when babies started crying when they looked at me. I think its funny, I enjoy being the scary guy since I have zero interest in talking to babies or kids. Saves me a lot of fuss in many situations! But.This is real life. I’m old enough that my friends are fathers and mothers. Some have more than one kid/baby. I’m often obligated to be in situations where I have to interact with these little monsters. Its the most awkward thing for someone to watch, my friends get a kick out of handing a baby to me!So I’ve developed a superpower. I ask them if they can do this.I can fold my tongue and keep it that way for about 10 seconds. No support of teeth or whatever. I don’t know if the picture does justice to my superpower, but if you meet me some day I’ll show you in person.Kids spend the next few minutes struggling to fold their tongues like I do. After a few attempts, I become their superhero. How did you do that? Why isn’t my tongue folding? Teach me how to do that! Please!! Not only that, their parents join in the game, and obviously fail.I haven’t met anyone that can do this.

Why does my partner yawn while he's asleep?

Contrary to popular belief, you do not yawn BECAUSE you're tired. You're tired because you yawn.

When you yawn, it releases digestive fluids underneath your tongue (which is why when you give a good, big yawn, you get a mouthful of saliva, or sometimes you "gleek"--when the saliva shoots out from underneath your tongue). When you swallow these fluids, they send a message to your stomach, telling it to slow down digestion (because it's time to sleep). This, in turn, causes you to becaome sleepy.

Similarly, when you wake up in the morning and yawn, those digestive juices tell your stomach to start getting ready for food again--they wake it up.

If it happens while you are sleeping, it's probably just your body trying to keep your stomach from "waking up" and digesting again--this makes it so that you don't wake up suddenly in the middle of the night, extremely hungry (which, for some people, it doesn't always work--that's where midnight snack cravings come from).

If you yawn when your body shouldn't be tired (other than while you're sleeping), it's usually either from seeing someone else yawn (the art of suggestion), or it could also be that your brain needs more oxygen at the time, because a yawn is usually the fastest way to get that. Generally though, if it's one of those yawns, you won't get the saliva in your mouth from it (or you'll get less).

I hope this helps!

Every single time i yawn, tons of spit droplets fly out of my mouth onto whatever i'm doing. (and i yawn alot)

You dont have enough oxygen in your blood which is why you yawn...

Iron deficency test: Go to the mirror and pull your lower eyelid and see if the color is red or flesh color. If its flesh colored you are lacking enough iron and should take a herbal iron like Floradix. It will take a month to see a difference. Iron carrys oxygen in your blood and if you dont have it you will feel tired, cold hands and feet, headaches, RLS, dull brittle hair, brittle nails, poor sleep, pale skin (see thru), shortness of breath, fatigue, poor concentration, low mood, ringing in the ears, cracks in the corner of the mouth, dizziness, fainting, sore tongue and canker sores oh and pale mucous membranes in lower eyelid.
