How do you lose weight? Any ideas???

The easiest explanation is very simple and obvious. Its calorie intake vs. calories burned. If you consistently burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight. No matter what you eat, this is always the case. If you eat 1000 calories of pizza and fried chicken, but you burn 1500 in a day, you will lose weight. You just have to watch and be smart (read labels) what you eat. Anything pre-packaged, convenient, or tastes good, is probably bad for you / high in calories. Watch the sauces, don't drink soda. Why do i lose weight when eat more?

Ok so I'd been having trouble with my weight being too low so a increased my calories (only to 2100) and I've lost more weight?? I mean is that even possible, I think I could understand maybe when I was younger like I'd be eating heaps for a week and would get on the scales to find I lost weight, it always shoched me? And btw, I do heaps of running but only the last 2 days I haven't done anything that's the most confusing thing. So why is it everytime I eat heaps I always lose weight (and it's not... well much junk food either) ? It's been like that all my life except when I was younger it was too much pop tarts and regular coke.. which I gave up b/c of cavities/bad teeth lol

Did you lose weight in Vietnam?

I lost over 20 lbs in less than three weeks when I traveled to Vietnam in late 2005. I lost 20 lbs again during my trip last year. I attribute my weight loss to difference in the foods I was eating and the lifestyle I was living in Vietnam. I believe I ate more while there, but a gallon of Vietnamese pho has less fat than a McDonald's cheeseburger. The typical house in Vietnam has several flights of stairs, and I could have done 1,000 stair steps a day by just roaming through the house.
