Why Do You Think This Is

Which is correct, "What do you think" or "How do you think"?

Both.“What do you think” asks for someone’s overall opinion on a subject. For example, “What do you think about current politics?”“How do you think” asks for someone’s opinion on the mechanics of a subject. For example, “How do you think this engine works?”

Why do you think you are an entrepreneur?

"Challenges motivate them to work harder"  Do you agree?  Entrepreneurs, on the other hand, rise to the occasion. When confronted by problems, many people try to pass the buck or otherwise wash their hands of the situation. She looks adversity in the eye and keeps going. You consider yourself an outsider. Entrepreneurs aren't always accepted "They are often rejected for being different in some way, and that just makes them work harder."It's a popular notion that successful entrepreneurs fail fast and fail often. Many people recognize marketplace holes, but it is the true entrepreneur who takes them from cocktail napkin to reality . You must surround yourself with advisors. It's important to surround yourself with people smarter than you and to listen to ideas that aren't yours. I'm open to ideas that aren't mine and people that know what I don't, because I think success takes communication, collaboration and, sometimes, failure." Though you can find variety of entrepreneurs in market , Be  your kind.  I am inspired by AIN too. There I found some extra ordinary entrepreneurs from whom i experienced alot good. Why do we think what we think when we think it?

I have been following this question after I read the discussions on question itself between Marcus Ford and Joel V Benjamin. What follows is my loud thinking.I will start in reverse order. When do we think?Answer is we think when we don't 'don't think.' We don't think while in sleep. we don't think under influence of substance abuse. We don't think while acting reflexively in emergency. We don't think while following orders (This last one is very deep. I will come back here).Rest of the times we can think. What is so special about this rest of the time? Three things... one we have time to respond to situation, second there are no orders to deal with the situation, third we have to decide what to do.What do we think? Actually we think 'about' something. Because we have to decide what to do in a given situation we think about various alternatives including seeking guidance, their pros and cons, feasibility of alternatives, short term and long term repercussions... etc..etc..and come to some conclusion. The next step is we think about when to act. Now or later. Now means we act immediately. (I am assuming this is "it" as appearing at the end of above question.I mean the decision; not each and every thought that crosses our mind.) Later means we think about it again and again till we reach the "now" position. Why do we think?Because we want to act and aren't sure what to do.Now let us go back to following orders. Who's orders we follow without thinking? Constitution, laws, bosses in office, religion, other thought leaders like Marx etc., the value systems. These are external masters. There are two internal masters who give orders, our emotions and our ego. Now, the ball is in reader's court.

Why do you think you're smart?

Mainly because of ego.A wanting to possess what others need in-order to belong. To feel important. But most of all, to be *better* than any one of the other billions of people standing in the way of a life that’s not met with indifference.Know it’s okay to feel that way. To feel smart, assert it in which ever case you feel is necessary, or even to proclaim a state immune to the condition which makes us human.“Yeah, Im gifted as fuck!”“No, I don’t think I’m smart.”“Well, I don't want to sound arrogant but...”No matter how it’s presented, every statement seeks the same thing. None of which convey any truth. They are all disingenuous proclamations to satiate a deeper, somehow shameful, but more necessary, motive. They all project wanting, and for the same “selfish” need already implied.Acceptance.So what do I mean by all of that exactly?I mean that your well thought-out personifications of importance, are lies.…Go ahead and give into that feeling for a moment. The one driving you to the comment section with such a growing sense of urgency. Explore it, be aware of it. Then continue.Consider this: that there is no such thing as “smart” or “brilliant” or any of its like. Not as the bread in the bone virtues we take them for anyway. It’s this:You are either necessary - to an ever shifting majority - or you’re not. And even then, that value, it ties to nothing below it.Or above it.It is fantasy made from light through dust. Now I know many of you, that wrote an answer here - or at other places under similar guises - may have become upset when faced with this message.I mean no harm or offense. I present it for this reason only.To instill a state of defense against a insignificant truth, so that you may examine where emotion takes even the “smartest” in our ranks. Now, apply this example to everyone and everything surrounding our point of existence on this planet. And then ask yourselves why exactly that matters.

What's the difference between "what are you thinking" and "what do you think"?

“What are you thinking” is one of the most intrusive and discourteous sentences ever. The ONLY time it is appropriate is between lovers/spouses/partners etc. in their intimate moments. The answer otherwise to which is “none of your effing business”.

Why do you think Columbus saw only the coastal area of mesoamerica?

He didn't have the supplies, tools, or time to go farther inland. Plus, the natives were a huge concern. It's a lot safer to stay on the coast, where you can retreat to your ship if need be.
