Why Does Alcohol Make Me Act Crazy

If alcohol is a depresant, why do people drink it at parties or act crazy? Thks 10p?

Just asking a general question for my knowdlege, i do not plan on drinking based on the answers! Thanks 10 points

So i learned in school that alcohol is a depresant. It makes you relax and be on a low.
And yet people drink it at socials, parties and with friends.
They usually do dumb things, act hyper , have fun and be crazy,
So why is rhis!? How does it work.

Thanks

Does drinking too much alcohol make a person go crazy?

Not long ago a research was done on some 18-25yr olds who frequented parties and pubs. Over a period of a year, tests were conducted on their internal organs like liver, kidneys, etc and it was found that some of these aged by 10-30yrs. When they stopped or moderated their drinking, their health improved and they returned to their age-appropriate condition.

Excessive drinking by other adults also leads to serious alcohol poisoning, fatal vehicle accidents, fights and killings. Many who drank and went for swim, often drowned. When you drink too much, esp in public you cannot control your senses and reflexes, thus becoming a danger.

Most death statistics often happen on Friday to Sunday nights due to excessive alcohol or drug taking. It is really not worth one's precious life to drink excessively.

Why does alcohol make me aggressive, but seemingly only me?

Perhaps the wisest thing for you would be to not drink, you obviously have a very adverse reaction to alcohol.  Alcohol is a depressant and for most people it helps calm and relax them, can make them a little more happy and entertaining.  There are some though, for whom alcohol brings out a more dark nature.  Alcohol does impact how the brain works, it interferes with communication pathways and can cause severe changes in mood and behavior.  There are many people who become angry and abusive when drunk, I'm sure you've heard the stories.  It would be a danger for you to continue drinking if this is the reaction you have now - and it's good that you recognize it.  That you particularly find it hard to stop is a warning sign too, that you could be very susceptible to addiction, you'd be in danger were you to keep up the habit. There's an article you might want to read - Why Alcohol Leads to Aggression

What's special about Jack Daniels, does it really make you crazy drunk?

Every spirit has its own effect on you. Some are sweet and calm and some can bring out your worst. I know guys who turn into monsters on tequila and turn to putty from a glass of scotch or bourbon. People who blame Jack on their craziness are just looking for something to blame... a reason to not be responsible for their actions... but indeed some folks don't take the whiskey spirit well.

All alcohol will get you drunk, but is there a drink that makes you act "crazy"?

I hear that some liquors have additives that can make anyone crazy. One is absinthe in the traditional version with wormwood extract in it. It was banned in France after a man drank much of it and then shot his family. In Hong Kong, "Ng Ga Pei (Jao)" ("Wu Chia Pi Chiu" in North China and "Nam Pei" in Vietnam) can make people go nuts. It has secret ingredients that evidently do it. A man I know told me he had a bottle of it when he visited his brother, and his brother went nuts when he drank a double shot of it after drinking about eight beers. This poor fellow ran out in the street naked and then tried to fight his brother when he dragged him home. Ng Ga Pei is available in 96 and 108 proof versions.

Why does alcohol make me feel good when it's a depressant?

If you are at a party, alcohol will likely make you less anxious, less inhibited, therefore more easily able to interact and have fun.  If you are alone and depressed, alcohol may erode your self-control and make you more depressed -- even increase your risk of suicide.A researcher years ago had an overnight facility where he would give alcohol to alcoholics under controlled conditions.  Most of them said they drank to feel good.  After 2 or 3 drinks, they would be weeping.  But they didn't remember that part the next day.

How does alcohol affect someone with borderline personality disorder?

When I saw this question I thought wow,how can I articulate the many horrific experiences over a 3 year period of my ex partner undiagnosed bdp with narcissistic traits…..now in the first 4 months I had a couple of issues….but in general a happy drunk, 4–6 months Houston we have a problem, argumentative, vile mouth, violent and a total fucking peanut, the rage and projection was in its infancy at that point but alcohol was an extreme problem, imagine Russian roulette……you would never know what to expect. ….drama with me or someone else…..total nightmare,my partner would drink excessively and at random times of the day….she could be blind drunk by mid day…..to an outsider she might appear an alcoholic but I suspected she was using alcohol to somehow regulate her emotions but it would only magnify her mood or situation in that moment…the worst night (one of many to be honest) was when her best friend got angry at my wife's behavior on her 30th birthday and decided to leave the bar we were all at,my wife got angry and shoved her best friends sister in the face, after they left my wife spun round and knocked an innocent girls drink out of her hand and words were exchanged and rather than apologize my wife ran her mouth and subsequently the girl knocked her on her ass…..all hell broke loose and the management and some of my friends tried to calm her down….I know full well that aint gonna happen…my wife's rage is nuts, the fight spills outside and my wife is out of control (I count 5 drinks and maybe 3 or 4 shots) 2 police officers are outside and they have to mace her after failing to control her and they proceed to drag her kicking and screaming across the street it was unreal..she was in a police cell screaming abuse for 3 hours straight…so how does alcohol effect my borderline wife with narcissistic traits….thats how. ….and thats just a snapshot……and Heres the crazy part…..its not my wife's fault, zero Accountability. …my drink was spiked she says,ok sweetheart lets go to the hospital to get a blood test…..no im too tired….typical borderline bullshit….I probably should add that she would also be very emotionally unstable watching listening to her favorite songs on Youtube. ……whilst drinking..
