Why Does Australia Receive So Much Criticism When They Lose Whereas Other Nations Don

Why does the U.S. get vilified for trying to enforce its immigration laws while other countries, including Mexico, continue to enforce their much stricter laws?

Criticism of U.S. enforcement of its immigration laws seems to be more of an internal debate rather than a international one.I do take some issue with the word ‘enforce'. I think a better term would be ‘manage'. The management of U.S. immigration law has and is haphazard, capricious, and driven by political expediency as well as ignorant rantings of some of the more extreme elements in U.S. society. There is a lack of consistency across the board from immigration officiers who have no experience with immigration law having only worked in internal administratve postions to immigration judges grossly overworked whose decisions vary radically from one region to another. Then there is, in my opinion, the cruel and inhuman decisions that seperate detained children from their parents. One also wonders why we hear about ICE raids but seldom hear about prosecutions of companies that don't conform to the I-9 reguirements for hiring.Lastly, and possibly most troubling, is the current of xenophobia that seems to underlie any conversation about immigration particularly when it pertains to refugees. Today the U.S. tries to ban or limit refugees from the Middle East or Africa and in the past did the same with similar reasons to the Irish and Jews. In the end, for most of those that were denied their fate was sealed and all hope was lost.I think that the vilification the OP is asking about is more about the moral angst and pain felt by those in the U.S. who have been fighting the good fight.

Why are Australians considered arrogant and bad sports?

Roger Federer(Tennis), Brazil(soccer) are also leaders in their respective sport but no one considers them arrogant so theirs no point in saying that one at top is always criticized.
Can anyone please tell me when India protested before the sydney event. Adam Gilchrist is a great sportsman no doubt about it but please dont say all the OZ team is like him.
there are bad decisions in cricket no doubt. u got 2 in the last game. Rohit was given one in match against Sri lanka. Its O.K. but you dont give 7 to 8 bad decisions. If a person commits so many errors what right does he have to be on the elite panel. I wonder had this happened to Australia Ricky Ponting would not remain quit and would had surely criticized the umpiring.

Why bangladesh still so weak in cricket even after playing for long time?

In my view the reasons of our poor performance in almost all the games, and cricket in particular, is as follows:

1. The people of Bangladesh are a bit shorter and weaker built than the Indians and Pakistanis. Sri Lankan are exception since there population is much lesser thereby getting more per capita food for taking proper care of their nourishment and stamina.

2. Higher proportion of educated population in neighboring countries are producing better base-materials for rigorous training in any field where intelligence needed to groom better players.

3. Lack of proper theoretical classes as well as practical training and proper gears with fields for the players in one part and also lack of interest to abide by the disciplines, rules and regulations during training on the other part makes it difficult to get quality players in Bangladesh.

4. The ego plays heavily in our player's mind who try to emulate personal traits of their counterparts in neighboring countries, but not the techniques and other positive attributes those champion-materials possess.

5. Lastly, the mother nature also makes life difficult for our players to come out and play when there are rains in more than 4 months those gets our fields more soggy due to the alluvial soil (fine fertile soil left behind by a flood, esp. in a river valley) makes the playing ground unsuitable for practicing.

I had been to Karachi, Pakistan for fairly long time till 1973 and saw the school children playing cricket on routine basis during weekly holidays in plenty of fields available to them throughout the years as the weather in Pakistan are much dryer than what we have here in Bangladesh.

So, unless we can pool talents from School level age through routinely held competition and taking them to special schools like we have one in Kaliakoir, Savar, Dhaka, we can not hope to have consistently good performing cricketers, for that matter any other kind of players coming out from Bangladesh.

PS. Someone commented that we do not have the passion or frenzy in our public for cricket, which is not true. If you were here when Bangladesh first beat Pakistan in world-cup preliminaries in UK and then beating India in similar fashion in last ICC WC 2007 and then the South Africa, you would have seen the zest in our people for the cricket. Football has now taken backbench in terms of arousing enthusiasm among the general populace here.

Regardless of his iconic status, why few people from India dislike Sachin Tendulkar?

RSRD I think the reason that people dislike him coz he has a very large fan base is lame.He has done so much in his career to justify the fan following he has.And it's good 'being yourself' but sometimes u must see how other people are as well.U can't do whatever u want & just say that u r only 'being urself'.

And Sachin was in the form of his life during 2007-2011.So I disagree with Symantak that he has done nothing of late.Who can forget his 175 against Australia in 2009 at Hyderabad?or 200* against South Africa in Gwalior? These are just few examples.Dont forget he was the leading run scorer for India in World Cup 2011.

Sachin's test average year by year from 2007-2011:
In 2007,he averaged 55 with 2 centuries,6 half-centuries.
In 2008,he averaged 48 with 4 centuries,3 half-centuries.
In 2009,he averaged 67 with 2 centuries,3 half-centuries.
In 2010,he averaged 78 with 7 centuries,5 half-centuries.
In 2011,he averaged 47 with 1 century,5 half-centuries.
