Why Does Every Empire Eventually Fall

Do all empires eventually fall?

Good point.

That is why history is so important, we have to learn from it. You can see we are making the same mistakes that Rome did:

Reasons for decline in Roman Empire

Rome started its decline after Marcus Aurelius’ reign when inflation hit the Roman economy severely (LABOR UNIONS CAUSE INFLATION)
Rome’s decline started when the empire was split into two.(RED STATES/BLUE STATES)
Decline of morals, values & decadence (INFLUENCE OF HOLLYWOOD, DRUGS)
Political corruption (NO CHECKS AND BALANCES WITH DEM PRES. & DEM CONGRESS
Bribery
Romans became total pacifists - (COMMUNIST INFLUENCE TO CREATE ANTI WAR ACTIVISTS ON COLLEGE CAMPUS')
Pacifism resulted in invasions by barbarians and the eventual loss of lands, leading to the victory by Odavacar. (INVASION BY RUSSIA, MUSLIM NATIONS, IMMIGRANTS)
Crime & unemployment (ALREADY IN PROGRESS)
Hoarding and Deficit (ALREADY IN PROGRESS)
Military Spending (ALREADY IN PROGRESS)
Public Health, & Sickness and Pestilence (BIRD FLU, NO HEALTH INSURANCE, ETC.)

Lack of developing technology, unemployment, urban decay and inflation.
Roads and bridges were left in disrepair and fields left untilled. Pirates and bandits made travel unsafe. Cities could not be maintained without goods from the farms, trade and business began to disappear. And Rome was no more in the West.

The Roman soldiers were pulled back from the Rhine-Danube frontier to fight civil war in Italy. This left the Roman border open to attack. Gradually Germanic hunters and herders from the north began to overtake Roman lands in Greece and Gaul
Rome, a once mighty empire, had seen its last days as ruler of the world.

No empire lasts forever. How will the USA eventually fall apart?

That is a very scary question. You are right, one of the rules of history is that “All empires fall,” and it seems that the American civilization is the most advanced and the most powerful nation in all of human history. But, I foresee that in the near and eventual future, America will be torn apart. And not by foreign invaders like Rome and China, but by themselves. And this is not a new idea, with Abraham Lincoln once warning that America would destroy itself. But the question remains: Why? I predict that as political views become more polarizing and Congress remains in the irreversible deadlock that it does, people will start turning against each other. It would be like the Civil War combined with the Revolution, times a million. That infighting would destroy our country’s infrastructure and government, ending the long reign of America. Empires Fall.

Is it true every great empire eventually falls?

Yes and yes. The United States is next in line and for the same reasons the Roman Empire fell.

Why has every empire in history eventually fallen?

Here's an analogy used by people i know. Lets say you have a prison, and in it are 10 prisoners. There are 10 guards, so every time one tries to escape they are foiled, since the 1:1 ratio makes monitoring simple. Then lets say i take in 20 more, to have 30 prisoners. Now with 1:3, the guards can still keep them down, but much harder. But sooner or later one will escape, perhaps aided by others, and its worst if i absorb in more prisoners without enough guard reinforcements. In fact, some people might even attack the prison, and i wont have enough guards to both fight them off and keep the prisoners down, or worst, put down any large  scale uprisings. That's why. Empires often have to hold their territories, thirsting for freedom and such, down while simultaneously fending off any attacks.

Why do empires fall.?

you can highlight these few reasons:
1)they fall sometimes due to rebellions or problems between religion
2)sometimes,they lose wars and are invaded by other empires
3)they get bankrupt and die out eventually as new rulers take over
4)the rulers get weak and the people overthrow them thus crippling the empire
by the way, shouldn't you do your homework assignments yourself??yahoo answers isn't going to help you during your examinations

Every empire falls, will the US fall too?

Yes, it is declining right now. Anyone who doesn't realize that is delusional.

Will the US fall like every empire before it has?

The prestige and influence the USA possesses today will inevitably decline and fade as time passes. However, the country itself would no doubt endure. Americans might slowly withdraw from world affairs as a new generation of countries take the helm, and the US might even fade into the sidelines as new powers emerge (India, China, Brazil, etc.). However, the United States will definitely continue. It's been only 50 years since the British Empire ended, and 20 since the Soviet Union collapsed. Our parents and grandparents were still alive when Great Britain was considered the world's superpower and Russia ruled the world’s largest land empire. While they both no longer have the influence or power they once did, both the UK and the Russian Federation still are powers in their own right and still have a hand in global affairs. Both are still active in the Middle-East, even though their roles have been eclipsed by the US. Who knows, one day we might find US forces operating in the Middle-East operating under another country.

Will the United States eventually fall just like the Roman Empire?

No, I think it's going to be more like what happened to the British Empire. England is still in pretty good shape, but the empire is long gone. It's different, but not necessarily worse.
We're not going to be top dog anymore, economically. That's OK. We had a good run. There's no law that says the United States has to run the whole world.
What magazine was this article in? You keep saying families are "falling apart," but you don't give specifics or statistics. Was it better back in the days when men could legally beat their wives and children? Was it better when women had no choice but to stay home and bear children--children they could lose if their husbands left them or if they left a marriage that was physically dangerous for them? Was it better when getting a divorce was almost impossible, so children grew up in loveless homes with parents who hated each other?
You're mixing culture with economics and the military, and these are different issues.
Edit: Interesting screen name you chose for yourself: Historian Einstein. I'm still waiting for a citation for this article you read.
