Why do some dogs keep licking their nose?
Without knowing more details, I can only offer you some things to check out with your pup. When you say "keep licking", do you mean every 5 minutes, many times a day or just most days once or twice. If your dog is licking constantly, then I would suggest you take him to a veterinarian since he may have something embedded in his nose, or some disfunction with the inner workings of his nose. If he licks some every day, he might like the taste of food that gets caught on his nose when he eats, OR he may have allergies that cause his nose to itch or drip. You might wipe the area with a warm, wet wash cloth, and maybe trickle a little water around his nose to clear it, and see if that helps. Hope this helps with your pup.

I was up close to my dog and talking to her and while I had my mouth open she licked me kind of inside my mouth. Pretty sick, considering she licks her crotch a lot. So I'm just wondering if she can get me sick or anything ? I already rinsed my mouth with mouthwash.

Not to mention drinking out of the toilet, eating out of garbage cans....ugh There is some nut that invented the thought that a humans mouth is dirtier than a dogs and so it's ok to let a dog lick you. Not so. Very wrong. Make sure you always wash your hands after touching any animal.

Why is it dangerous to lick a battery?
As others have said, touching your tongue on one end of any battery won't do anything unless the battery is dirty or unless it is leaking fluid, which is corrosive and probably toxic. Even if you could touch both ends of a functioning, non-leaking battery to your tongue (let's say with a wire or two), it would not be dangerous unless it is a very high voltage battery; most batteries you buy retail are not high voltage. When I was growing up, touching your tongue on a 9V battery was standard procedure to tell if the battery was still good. If you felt nothing, it was bad; if you felt a tingling feeling, the battery was good; after a while you get pretty good at judging state of charge by the amount of tingling. Using a multi-meter is so much more accurate ...Now, if by "licking" a battery you mean out right licking it like a lollipop, that's a whole other story (but then I have to ask, why?)

My roommate loves sucking on my toes and I really like the way it feels when she does it to me too. But I don't want her doing it if there's any chance of catching something. Do you think there are any health problems from having toes in your mouth for an extended period of time?

They lick their own genitalia and butts, they sniff other dogs’ anuses, they eat cat “power bars” from catboxes, they eat feces, dead things they find on walks and even scarf down their own vomit!I had a small scratch on my calf, just an abrasion, from banging on a chair or something. Minors. My dog, Lillie, who was a lick-a-holic, sat one day and lavished my leg with her tongue. Several days later, I had an agonizing case of cellulitis flaming in that leg. Worse still, it was multi-drug resistant! The pain was so bad, I could not bear to wear a shoe, or have my clothing touch it, even lightly. I ‘slept’ with the leg outside the covers because the sheets were too painful to bear.Instead of just popping some antibiotics and having done with it… I had to take a series of VERY painful antibiotic injections into the buttock of the affected leg, an antibiotic not normally used because it did hurt to take the shots! But it was the ONLY drug that worked on the bacteria that was infested in my leg, from the dog’s mouth.NEVER let your dog lick your face, or anywhere on your body, without washing carefully immediately afterward! And if you have an open sore… don’t let Fido near it!
My dryed lips are bothering me a lot?
Put some Neosporin on your lips at night to help heal them, that's what I do for mine. In the daytime I use medicated Blistex. Always keep something on your lips if you have a habit of licking them. I like Revlon colorlast lipstick, it stays on all day and you can lick your lips but it still won't come off. You just need something on them all the time. The lipstick comes in many colors, even the same as your lips if you don't like wearing lipstick. Don't put anything over the lipstick if you use it because that will cause it to wipe off easily. Leave the tea alone. Tea has caffeine in it which dehydrates your system and dry lips need hydrated. Drink lots of water to hydrate your body. Drink some juices, you may be low in vitamins. The Neosporin will help too.
