Well if you're gonna eat, drink , dance and make merry at your wedding then definitely invite them. They'll definitely have fun. Have a few of your friends assigned to them so that they know what's going on. If you're having a sangeet invite them and get them to dance and sing along. Have any women sit in with the rest of the gang if you have any bridesmaid type rituals like haldi, mehendi etc. I'm happy to provide more suggestions based on the type of wedding you're having and the locations.Lastly congratulations to the bridal couple and I'll drink a toast to you the next time I have a drink.

In the US you just don’t eat pizza with a knife and fork. You just…don’t. Don’t ask me why you don’t do that because there is no explanation that makes any logical sense. It’s just a…thing in this country.And before anybody gets on their high horse about American culture, none of the rest of you have any moral leg to stand on. Every country, yes I said every country, has its own share of inexplicable social faux pas.Examples:In England you don’t talk in the elevator.In Japan, if you get a taxi you’re not supposed to open the door from the inside. You wait for the driver to get out and open your door for you.In France, don’t split the check in a restaurant. One person is expected to pay for the whole table.In Italy, you never order a cappuccino after 10:30am.In Greece, a hug should be followed up by a kiss on each cheek.In Brazil, don’t ever gesture to another man with a closed fist. It (somehow) implies his wife is cheating on him.Do any of these social faux pas make sense? No, of course not. They all make exactly zero sense.America is not different from the rest of the world in that regard.

If this guy is actually a friend, you probably have many habits, beliefs, and behaviors in common, as well as a pleasant and perhaps interesting shared history. There is no need to ‘tell’ your friend anything except, perhaps, that you disagree. Then go on and do or talk about whatever you two do find in common.Why throw out a useful, pleasant acquaintanceship for one quirky opinion? If you want to hold out for friends with whom you share absolutely everything, you are likely to remain not only alone, but far less informed and far less amused by the many normal and sometimes eyebrow-raising parts of life.I live in Texas, and nearly all of my neighbors are Trump voters. Guess how much I try to explain to them how wrong they are? Zero. Why would I? Doing that won’t convince them of anything, except that I’m narrow-minded and bossy. It’s far more useful and fun to talk about our animals and grandchildren, the weather, gardening, bugs, snakes, how often the other neighbor’s donkey brays in the night and how suicidal that seems, and a million other issues. The relative perfection of US citizens NEVER comes up - although they very much enjoy my personal anecdotes about experiences in countries that they have never actually heard of and would probably be terrified - briefly - to visit. And who knows, those stories might somehow soften their sense of superiority.
