Why does my married boss always flirt with me?
Okay, my boss is married and has a three year old child. I believe he has been with his wife for overt ten years. I previously worked in a different department until I applied for a job in his department. I was never interviewed for the position, but everyone else that applied was and I don't understand why I was just 'placed' in the department. So, now I am in the department and my boss always jokes with me and says that I flirt with all of the boys in the store and he goes as far as to call one my boyfriend. He always sticks his tounge out at me which reminds of something a child would do. I get very tired of it since someone could overhear and start a rumor which would not be good. I don't know if he just hired me because I have such good work ethics or if he just wanted to flirt with me because he might be attracted to me. I joke around with him too but to be honest, I don't know if it is because of the attention he is giving me but I might have a crush on him now which is not like me. I don't know what to do! I have to see him everyday and I actually had a dream about him last night! I realize that he most likely does like me since he teases me constantly but maybe he is just a jerk, you know? I just wish my crush for him would go away, I can't stand it anymore. I find myself thinking of questions to ask him just so I can talk with him. Wow, I must sound pathetic. I can't even look into his eyes anymore. I think about saying, "Hey, why do you tease me about guys flirting with me when you do it constantly?" So, any advice? Thanks much.

Just enough that they feel comfortable flirting day in and day out, but not so much that the reality of it is glaring and the entire game of it is gone and the sex is fulfilled right away. There must be a carrot to chase and this may be exactly that excitement and sexual tension they miss in their non-professional life.This is highly inappropriate either way, either gender. If you are not interested, you must tell them to please stop or however you fee most comfortable. Is there a HR department in your company you can contact? Is there a third party you can loop in to assist? How about your boss’ boss? Document everything. And if possible tape or record interactions. Seems crazy. It proof could never hurt in this case. Let's just say he made my life impossible and I had to quit that great job with a fantastic future and had burned a bridge and recommendation because of my bad decision. Don't do it.You are stuck working together every single day and there is no out unless you quit. My suggestion is to find a different role under another person so he isn't your boss. Or find a new job elsewhere. If you STILL feel strongly about him, give it a go! But you may find the charm is completely lost when he is no longer your boss. Even if it does work out, things will get weird if he is still your direct boss and you will have to disclose your relationship so there is no favoritism and partisan work distribution etc. It makes sense you both feel this way, but honestly, there are SO MANY others out there besides your direct boss and his direct report that you can date anyone without ruining your chances where you work every day. A girl at work said that she thinks that he is flirting with me because he always says something to me or he goes out of his way to say something to me. So what happened was I got my co-workers all gifts . Including my boss I got him a gift as well, and I got my co-worker who loves sports a mug of her favorite football team which is also my bosses favorite too but we all as a group pitched in to getting him something . Today when he was talking to me he told me he really loved my gift , my co-worker that got him a mug of his favorite team he mentioned his wife got him a mug to of that specific team , I also got my co-worker a mug related to that .
