Why Does My Boyfriends Car Shake While Idling

What would cause my car to shake a little bit when idling?

If it has started shaking more now than it did when new, then listen to the exhaust. If it is not hitting evenly on all cylinders (“missing”) then get new plugs and verify ignition performance. Normally broken motor mounts will allow the engine to shake more since they are not securely holding the engine. Under this circumstance, there will be less shake transferred to the car than with new mounts and your car will actually shake less.If it is an inline 4 cylinder, then this shake is just a normal function of the engine design. A 3 cylinder engine actually has less normal shake than the 4 cylinder. This is simply a result of the rotation angles between power strokes. As cylinder count increases beyond a 6 cylinder the engine shake gets smoother. A V-12 engine can have a glass of Champagne filled to the brim sitting on the intake manifold without splashing any contents. My first experience in a Jaguar with a V-12 really surprised me. The engine could be idling when you place your hand on the body of the car and you could barely tell if it was running or if the body was simply resonating from ambient sounds.

My boyfriend has an acura integra that starts up but idles when at a red light or when letting off the gas it?

Simple.... idle air control valve....
Either it's gone bad.... Or it's dirty... Or needs to be calibrated.... When removed.... It's does just "bolt back on"..... It need to be adjusted.... If it's to far to one side it can either idle too high!!!! or too low!!!
Another problem can be his mass air flow sensor.... If it's bad it will idle like crazy because of the unbalanced air to fuel ratio..... What happens when a fire loses oxygen???? It dies out!!!! And the oxygen is read by the mass air flow sensor.... If te sensor is bad and senses LOW oxygen it drops the fuel consumption to maintain the 50/50 air to fuel ratio..... Both of those 2 sensors cause that problem.... BAD SPARK PLUG, DISTRIBUTOR, AND WIRES WILL ONLY CAUSE MISFIRES and run rough. A BAD FUEL PUMP will cause the car to die randomly no matter how fast or how slow he drives cuz the pressure is low and not being maintained. A BAD O2 SENSOR will only throw a check engine light and cause it to run too lean or too rich...

How to turn my boyfriend on while we are in the car?

My boyfriend and I plan on having intercourse tonight and we're going to be in his car for a while before we actually have sex.

Any advice? :D thanks!

2001 Honda Civic is idling rough, shaking on drive when idle?

My 2001 Honda Civic is shaking and making a chugging noise when idle in drive (at stoplights, etc). It barely spits out any RPMs when idle. Just had a tune up. Just got this car from my dad and he's kept it in the garage through the winters. We just had a blizzard here and until that happened it wasn't doing that. There are no puddles when I have it parked so I don't think it's a leak. No smoke coming out of the exhaust.

My boyfriend fiddled with the spark plug wire today that was loose and that seemed to do the trick on my drive to work until about halfway there. Same thing happened driving home and I looked under the hood and the wire wasn't loose. Was fine until I got it home and then it started shaking and chugging again. Anyone have any idea what this might be?

Why is my car shaking and the check engine light flashing?

A shaking vehicle AND flashing MIL ("check engine light") sound like the vehicle is misfiring on at least one cylinder. As @Anna Nguyen, @Brendan Sinclair, @Antoun Nabhan and others have said, it could be an ignition related problem. It could also be fuel-related. If one or more fuel injectors are clogged or dead, that would also cause a misfire in the affected cylinder(s). These are relatively cheap/easy things to check and fix.Other causes (which could be more complicated and more expensive) to fix include contaminated fuel, a bent intake or exhaust valve, a broken valve spring, a damaged piston/connecting rod, and on and on.I recommend getting a scan tool and checking the codes which are causing the MIL to light/flash and I also strongly recommend NOT driving the vehicle until the problem is fixed. If you continue to drive the vehicle as is, you will exacerbate the problem. Dumping unburned fuel into the exhaust due to a misfire will overheat and kill your catalytic converter. A more serious problem like a bent valve can eventually cause you to crater your engine (i.e.: completely destroy the engine).

What can cause my dodge neon steering wheel to shake when i put it on drive or reverse?

low idle speed or worn motor mounts

Why do my legs shake during intercourse?

Because contrary to Eskimo tradition, an iceberg is not the best place for intercourse.

Car is idling 20mph?

While my boyfriend and I were getting off the freeway his car started to idle 20mph? What could be wrong? He's been stressing about it for 15 min now. Can anyone help? Or at least give me any info what could of happened. Thanks :)

Have you had a passenger grab the steering wheel of your car and yank it while you were driving?

Yes, a family member did. I waved my arm out to stop her, and hit her face hard. As much as I love her, I have no regrets. What she did was 100 % wrong, and she has never done it again. Many years ago, I even had a drunk passenger in the back complain about how I was driving in a too high gear (I wasn’t, the engine wasn’t struggling at all, but he insisted I shift down because he “liked the sound” at higher revs), and when I after a lot of his nagging still hadn’t “obeyed his order”, he unbuckled, leaned forward and yanked at the gear lever to downshift from 5th to 4th. I elbowed his face hard enough to give him a nose bleed. I pulled over, pulled his sorry ass out, and left him at the side of the road, a 30 min walk from the nearest town. No regrets about that either.Physically interfering with my driving is potential manslaughter, and I will protect myself against it accordingly.

I am a car salesman. While driving a used Pacifica the idling engine does something to make me feel sick to my stomach and extremely anxious. Something with sound or pressure I think. I feel it but my manager says I’m crazy. Have I lost my mind?

Maybe not. Idle making you sick seems unlikely, but something called cabin boom can cause some people to become nauseous. Boom is a very low frequency vibration of a large body panel, commonly the roof or rear shelf panel that is being excited and amplified by Powertrain vibration. The low frequency vibration causes a pressure wave that can disturb your inner ear and sense of balance, making you nauseous. One more immediate and dramatic version of this occurs when only one window is opened, especially a rear window, causing a very intense buffeting. I’m not aware of the Pacifica having a normal (closed windows) cabin boom problem, either the old station wagon or the new minivan.
