Why Does My Computer Make A Weird Buzzing Noise When I Pause Something

Why is my computer making a buzzing sound?

Before we begin, I am not your lawyer or your doctor, I am only sharing my experience. If you do anything that breaks you or your computer then that isn't my fault. Is the sound coming from the speakers or the machine itself? If it is mechanical then it could be the fan. One of the biggest problems with laptops is that we use then on sofas, floors and our laps, and so they pick up a lot of dust. Dust is the enemy of embedded fans! Some people vacuum their laptop, you have to be careful here because you can damage the fan if it spins too fast and the power of a vacuum cleaner can easily drive the fan of a computer too fast. If I do use a vacuum then I listen to how fast the fan is spinning in the computer and don't let it go too fast.I occasionally blow in to the air vent where the fan is to dislodge any built up dust. This works for me but warning don't do it if you have loads of saliva and do expect a face full of dust.I have known power supplies to buzz, it is often a precursor to them failing. If a power supply buzzing gets louder then order a new one ASAP, before the magic smoke comes out of the old one.It could be some software, have you tried selecting mute? If mute works then it is probably some software or the operating system itself doing it. I have had computers play out nasty noises because of half-failed drivers and dying applications before. If mute works then close all browser windows and applications, if that doesn't stop it then reboot. If the sound is still there after a reboot? If it is coming from the speakers then it could be a fault with the amplifier or other sound output components of the computer.

Why is my computer's fan making a loud noise?

Laptop or desktop?Assuming desktop:Find out which one it is.Check if there’s a lot of dust and blow it away with compressed air.If it’s a box fan (rather than CPU or GPU fan), buy a new one. They are inexpensive. While you are at it, buy one that is extra quiet, but still with high air flow.It sounds like a broken bearing anyhow.

My advent laptop is making a weird buzzing noise?

A really badly clogged, and seizing FAN will do this.
if your FAN is not outputting a nice smooth airflow, then
you need a new one.

the longer you leave it the sooner it all goes POP and no more pc.

so do you want it to go pop?

also check there is not a cdrom in the drive by popping it and leaving it out
to see if buzzing goes away.

also try removing battery just in case its about to go POP and
see if that is causing it.

Weird, Persistent Buzzing Noise in Basement - What is It?

Old house, but the furnace and water heater are only maybe 20 years old. It's where a relative lived, he colleected a lot of stuff. No one lives there now, tho I will stay there (beach area) sometimes on a weekend, like now.

I heard a light buzzing when I came Thursday nite but thought it crickets. And only heard it when passing close to door to basement. Then today went to basement for something. It's louder there, but not smoke alram loud. Like a phone off the hook, tho much louder when on top of it. Maybe five buzzes a second. Close to the furnace, but more above and to left. There some junk in boxes nearby, but this buzzing noise sounds like its above, in the cellar ceiling, tho I can't really hear it from upstairs, even over the loudest spot in cellar. (And really can't pinpoint the exact spot where noise is louded)

I can call a plumber tomorrow, but like to have an idea of what this might be before I do. Something in the pipes? In the junk - I checked some of it but not all. Still, as noted, it sounds like above, ceiling high.

Sorry for the length of this, I am a bit worried. Don't thinik anything dire wil happen, it's been going on for at least 3 days.

Why does my laptop freeze and make a buzzing noise?

Most of the time this issue exists because of hardware failure. To identify the culprit you can check the system in safe mode and verify if the issue still persists or not. Highlight the “Diagnostics” and press ‘Enter’ to initiate EPSA diagnostics. The ePSA starts running the ‘quick test’ without waiting for user input.Note down the error code if any. You can search the error on internet in order to recover it. If you didn’t get any error then take it to laptop repair store for service.

CLARISONIC MIA weird buzzing noise?

When you first place the charger onto the handle of the Mia, it makes one buzz and partial movement of the brush head just to let you know that you attached the charger correctly. The LED light on the back of the handle should also start flashing. The LED will go solid once the Mia is fully charged and the brush head will buzz/partially move twice when you detach the charger.

You probably didn't see this in the store because the charger in the store wasn't plugged into an outlet. ;)

Here's a link to the User Guide, where this is explained: http://cdn.clarisonic.com/cdn/includes/p...

Make sure you charge it for the full 24 hours before first use.

Edit to add: Are you charging it with the Clarisonic laying on its side or on its back? If you charge it laying on its side, maybe the pLink charger isn't securely attaching? I charge mine with the Clarisonic on its back, so the brush and the charger are facing straight up and don't have any problems that way.

If it still does this constant buzzing with the Clarisonic on its back, you may need to return or exchange it.
