Why does my computer randomly minimize full screen games?
This is really annoying. Whenever I run games full screen, it randomly minimizes my games every so often. Doing a little research on this, I found that this problem is often caused by AVG, however I do not have AVG on my computer and never have. I have trend micro, but I've always had that and this problem arose only a few weeks ago. What else could it be?
My full screen games keep minimizing when they start up. I am unable to play at all. What can I do?
Today I turned on my computer, logged in, and booted up Maple Story just like any other day. I was playing for about two hours when it started to lag a bit. I decided to reboot my computer and try again. This time, it would not work properly. The game loaded as normal. Once it fully loaded, it minimized. Whenever I try to open it, it will once again minimize. I figured this might just be a problem with Maple Story, but it isn't. I tried Warcraft III and Halo. Both also would not open. I've been looking around for technical support but have not found an answer. Updating my graphics drivers does not help. Instead, it worsens it by forcing my computer into 4-bit colors at a 640 by 480 resolution. Could anyone aid me in this problem?
Video screen minimizing when playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Team Deathmatch...?
My screen minimizes out of the game roughly every 8 minutes or so... This is very frustrating! I've already tried the following, and it is still occurring: 1) I used a can of compressed air and blew the dust out of the case, AND cleared the case's air intake holes, and each fan wheel. 2) I removed software that had a reminder feature, which would minimize any application when it was active. PC specs are as follows, purchased 6/2/2011: ASUS build, AMD 2.8GHz Phenom quad-core, 6GB of RAM, ATI Radeon 3000 video card (w/ 1GB RAM?); and a 330W power supply. Thoughts on why this might be happening? Suggestions for possible fixes? Or - is it just time to get a new PC.
Is there a way to minimize full screen apps/games?
If you are using windows and want to go back to the desktop often just pressing the 'Windows' key will do the trick.Sometimes ALT + Enter will also bring the app/game out of full screen and into a window.Not all games like this some can throw a wobbly and crash.
Black screen minimizing during warcraft 3?
I was wondering why i keep getting a black screen while playing wc3? I can play wc3 perfectly fine, but just when i minimize, my screen goes all black, theres sound in the backaround etc, my screen still functions but i get a black screen. i can still click around and close stuff but just get a blank black screen. To get out of the black screen, i have to turn my screen off and on. When i turn it back on, my screens back to normal but than goes back to black screen. I have to repeat this process 4 times before it stops and becomes normal. This only happens when i play warcrat 3 and i minimize. anyone knwo any solutions to this problem?
Why do my PC games keep auto minimizing themselves!?
Firefox did that with any game. Now I can play Age of Conan or Mirror's Edge without any kind of minimizing when FF is closed. Check the Processes in Task Manager and see any suspicious program. If you could take a picture of all programs in Task Manager and show us, maybe we could see which program is causing this and which one are okay to be open. Each computer manufacturer can install plenty of their own programs. Toshiba has all kinds of energy saving programs and HDD protection and support service. Just so you know, so you don't close something that you need.
Is minimizing a full screen game such as World of warcraft or Toontown, bad for your computer or the game??
no, i play world of warcraft all the time, and whenever i listen to music, i always minimize it to start it over and im pretty sure it wont hurt it, cuz nothing has happened to me and i've had it for about 8 months now. by the way, since you play world of warcraft, what level is your highest one? I am a human paladin level 40 and i just got my mount. :}
Would playing a video "off screen" save computing power?
Maybe.On my Linux desktop, playing an MP4 video file in a tab, Chrome uses 60% of a CPU according to “top”. With the video still playing, it uses only 40% of a CPU when switched to a blank tab. Which makes sense, since there’s no point in rendering the video if no-one’s watching.However, the CPU load is not affected by hiding the entire browser under another application, or strangely, by minimizing it. That may be a bug (lack of feature) in my version of Chrome (25.0) and OS (CentOS 6).That’s video. If there are web pages in tabs with scripts running that update objects,, the scripts still run in hidden tabs since I can see the HTTP traffic. But I assume that e.g. SVG will not be rendered except in the active tab.
Is there a way to turn computer games into apps?
If by apps you mean smartphone apps, then the answer is… sort of…The games have to be ported to iOS, Android, Windows Phone, or whatever OS you are using. Two big problems eminent at first glance (to name a few):The hardware on a smartphone is less powerful than a PC (generally).Some games require complex controls, rendering it unplayable on a touchscreen, or a large UI that simply won’t fit in the small screens.So it really depends on what games you are talking about. Also, the gaming market on mobile devices is mostly casual gaming, few games designed for PC or console are viable on smartphones or tablets. Hopefully that answer satisfies you.
