Why Does My Computer Turn On But The Monitor Says No Signal

My computer monitor says "no signal".?

I have an E machines computer that runs on Windows 7. I have had it since 2011. One day in February of this year, my brother unplug both the computer and monitor from the outlet while both of them were still on. So after he did that, I plug them back up, and when they both came back on, the monitor had said "no signal" and the e button on the monitor went back from green to orange. So after many times trying to keep the monitor e button green by turning both the monitor and computer on it still kept saying no signal and wouldn't show anything. The only thing that would show was "no signal" and then it would turn off as the button on the monitor would be orange. I bought a new cable that connects the monitor and computer but it still would say no signal. And normally when I turn them on and they work there would be a beep sound from the computer but now there's no signal there isn't a beep sound. So my question is what can be the problem and how can I fix it? Can it be from unplugging it from the wall while it was on, or maybe there's too much dust inside the computer, or what because I' m very confuse right now, and I would appreciate it if someone helps me. Thank you.

Why does my monitor say "no input signal"? How do I fix this?

How to Fix a No-Input Signal to a ComputerIf your monitor is displaying "No Input Signal," there is no image displayed from your PC to your monitor. There are several possible causes for this error. To fix it, you must determine which component is defective, ranging from the cables that attach your monitor to your PC to the monitor itself or even your PC's video card.Step 1:Turn off your computer.Step 2:Unplug the cable running from your monitor to your PC and plug it back in, making sure the connection is firm. The most common cause of this error is a loose cable.Step 3:Reattach the cable running from your monitor to your PC. If the monitor is still not displaying a signal after firmly reattaching the cable, the problem could lie with the cable, especially if the cable has visible damage.Step 4:Replace your monitor with another monitor if possible. If the "No Input Signal" error still appears, the problem does not rest with the cables or the monitor, but with your PC.Step 5:Open your PC case and locate your video card. Remove the card and then replace it firmly in its slot or, if possible, insert the video card into another slot on your motherboard. A video card that is not making a firm connection will not display images to the monitor. Close your PC case and test the monitor again.Step 6:Replace your video card completely. Your video card may suffer from internal damage that is not allowing it to output a signal.TipsIf you are still not receiving a signal even after replacing your video card, you may also need to replace the computer's power supply and, in a worst-case scenario, your computer's motherboard. If your computer is still under warranty, arrange for an official repair before you open up your computer. Often, opening your computer yourself will void your warranty.WarningAlways ground yourself by touching a metal object before touching any component in your PC case. Failure to properly ground yourself can result in damaged components.

What should I do if my monitor says no signal?

There’s any number of reasons why a signal might not be thereWell, it says your video port is not putting out signals, If it has multiple ports and DVI and VGA are both not outputting a signal then you have a bad video card - unless the whole PC is badIS your PC even booting? Is there any sign the computer is working? Are any LEDs on? Does the PC output any POST beeps? Does it even have a speaker and do you know what the beeps mean? Does the CPU have a video graphics that’s enabled instead of the card? And are you connected monitor to the right port; often there can be several. Is the power supply on, and have you connected the PCI express additional power connectors if needed?

It says "No signal input" on my NEC monitor?

So i have a "NEC Multisync LCD 1700v monitor from just a few years back and its hooked up to an hp 8300f (i think thats the name of it.) And basically when i turn on the monitor after everything is plugged in, it says in a blue box in the middle of the screen "No Signal Input." and then the screen goes black as if its off. I have no clue how to fix it cuz everything is plugged in (im pretty sure) if you need more detail feel free to message me.

What does it mean when your computer displays a "VGA No Signal" message?

It means that the monitor is working but does not see the computer is turned on. The message means your monitor is working okay but is not getting a signal from your computer. The best thing to do is make sure your computer is powering on. Look on the back of your computer and see if you more then one video port on the back. They will look like the blue one or the white one. See if you have 2 of the blue or 2 of the white. If you do then move your monitor cord to other video port and see if it works or not.If that is not the problem then there is something wrong with your computer is not turning on or you have a problem that you are getting any video from your computer.

Acer H203H monitor says No Signal?

I turned on my Acer H203H monitor yesterday, followed by my desktop computer (Dell XPS, Windows XP), but the monitor says "No Signal" and then turns black (the Acer on/off button turns orange).

I tried unplugging the monitor while it was on, and then for 30-45 seconds I would hold the power button to "reset" it. That didn't work. I then tried many different combinations of turning off the monitor first, unplugging everything, plugging things back in and resetting, unplugging/plugging in different orders, pressing F8 for safe mode, etc... none of it worked.

I know my desktop computer isn't dead because if I turn on the volume I can hear my computer start up. And if I press the start key on my keyboard and press U twice, the computer shuts down fine.

I plugged the monitor into my laptop (Dell Latitude, Windows 7) and the monitor works fine with my Dell Laptop (Windows 7).

I don't have any other cables, monitors, or video cards to experiment with.

So what do y'all think? Bad monitor, bad desktop video card, or something else?

I would hate to buy a new video card or new monitor and it still not work. :/
