Why does my dog lick my legs after I shower?
Dogs lick your legs because they are trying to be helpful. They are helping you dry off in their mind. When he was younger, my main man Chewey would lick me as soon as I got out of the shower. When he realized that the giant rag (towell) allowed me to dry off without his help, he stopped.
Why does my dog lick water off my legs after a shower?
Actually for dogs it's not that weird at all. Both my beagles do it if I let them. It's a subservient and almost motherly gesture. I love you, you should be clean and dry is what he's thinking. If you don't like it close the dog out of the bathroom until you finish drying off. Otherwise think that he loves you and wants you to be happy. I lightly discourage mine from doing it but don't fuss at them. It's very insulting and hurts their feelings because to them they were trying to do a very nice thing for you and are giving you power over them.

He's not licking off the water, he's licking off the soap. As we know dog's have a very strong sense of smell and they often use smell to identify other dogs and people. The products you use in the shower smell nice to you but they confuse your dog so he licks it off to see if you smell as you usually do underneath the film of soap :)

I've always wondered..Are they toweling me off, and helping me groom? Or do they want that stinky stuff off of me? Or, do they actually like the taste of soap or lotion..They do it when I put on lotion, when I get out of the river..when I get wet giving them a bath. So, I think they are just helping me groom..

Mine does it as well, always has. I think it is just their way of helping to make sure their human is appropriately dried off, just as they would for pups or themselves. I do believe it is simply just a dog thing.

'Cause there smooth or he likes the flavor and taste of the soap! My Siberian Husky does that to me, and she looks at me while shes licking, the WHOLE time! So, yes I agree with, you VERY weird.
