Why Does My Dog Shake

Why does my dog shake / tremble?

My JRT is almost 3 years old.

Ever since he was a puppy, I noticed that sometimes his legs would shake when he was sitting.

He is pretty muscular, so I just attributed it to that, but lately he's been doing it what seems like more often and even if he is laying down. I don't think he's cold... it seems like a nervous system thing.

I am away from home and will take him to a vet here if it gets worse, but does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Why does my dog shake when he see's cats?

I have one dog and 5 cats.
Obviously, he's not very keen on the cats, but I have him sort-of trained not to hurt them.
I hold him while I let the cats run around.
From the moment he sees them, he starts to shake!
Why does he do this? Is he scared of them?

Why does a dog shake when it is in a cage?

It shouldn’t be in a locked cage unless it is being transported or there is some other rational reason—immediate health issue, perhaps. And most ‘cages’ people buy (other than those for transfer/travel, where the dog has to be able to stand up, fully turn around, and lie down easily) are way too small for the dog to be comfortable. Yes, fear and discomfort are the main reasons. Dogs are mainly gentle, loving creatures who like to be in a,pack.

There could be a few things happening in this scenario:Your dog may have eaten something toxic.Your dog may have nausea.Your dog may have a seizure disorder.Your dog may have discomfort from eating something really cold.If your dog’s trembling is accompanied by other behavioral or physical changes, I highly recommend taking your dog to a vet immediately. If not, I recommend ensuring that your dog’s food does not contain any toxic food to dogs (like garlic, xylitol, alcohol, etc). I also recommend making sure you offer your dog room temperature food - if your dog is small this could be your best solution. If you like what I have to say here on Quora, there’s more!
