Why Does My Dog Vomit At The Same Time 5 Days In A Row Then Suddenly Stop

What does it mean if a dog vomits and then has excessive drooling?

Clearly, the best thing to do with any dog medical issue is to talk to a vet. You should do so.In practicality, if I took one of my dogs to the vet every time one of them vomited, it would likely increase the number of trips to the vet over the dog’s lifetime by four or five.If you have a child and your child vomits once or even twice, you probably aren’t going to take them to the emergency room. Even if it is a two-year-old that cannot tell you in words how they are feeling, you would probably monitor the situation. You would look for signs that there was more wrong - is there disorientation? Does the dog have a fever (yes, you can check)? Has he drank water and kept it down? Is he behaving rather listlessly?Excessive drooling is a sign of nausea in dogs and so it could make some sense that he drools after vomiting. If he is able to keep water down, you could try giving him a little bit of pumpkin to soothe his stomach. Or some non-flavored yogurt. For most people, they will see their dog vomit several times over the course of its life. Dogs eat things they shouldn’t and vomiting is the result. There are things that when combined with vomiting are serious red flags, but for me, vomiting alone is not.

My dog was surgically spayed today and has vomited a yellow bile 3 times since I brought her home.?

It's the anesthetic. Stop giving her ice chips. It's too cold on her stomach. Try giving her a tablespoon of TEPID water. If she keeps it down for an hour you can give her a little more but if she pukes don't give her anything for the rest of the night.
I know many vets send their spays home the same day, but the hospital I worked at we kept them overnight. Do not try to feed her tonight.
If she has any problems during the night, call your vet or take her to the nearest ER clinic.

Why does my husky vomit his food?

From what I read of what you have posted, your dog ate last night and then this morning he upchucked his last meal.  It looks to me like you fed him the right amount and at the right time.  From what you have written he sounds like he is still quite healthy. It is not uncommon for a dog to regurgitate a meal, especially after an emotional event such as leaving his birth family at the breeder's and coming to live at your house.  Remember, this is a very stressful time for your dog.  He probably misses his Mom and siblings.I would not worry in the least about the missed meal.  I would watch the dog to be sure he is fine for the rest of the day and then feed him in the evening like you did the previous evening, using the same amount of food.  Do follow the breeder's instructions on how much to feed and how often.  Your dog might need one extra meal to make up for the calories he lost.  Do be sure he has plenty of clean, fresh drinking water available at all times.Puking up three meals in a row is where I would draw the line.  I would start by calling the breeder, and if the breeder's answer does not seem helpful I would call the vet.  I presume you have one.Do not offer any treats or extra food.  Please do stick to what the breeder gave you, at least for the time being.Do let your dog sleep as often as he likes.  Do make sure the dog goes outside to relieve himself on a regular basis as well, just like normal.Good luck!  If you have any further questions feel free to reply to this post.  I will get back to you.

Why is my dog vomiting undigested food in the middle of the night?

For the past two nights my dog has woken me in the middle of the night with the lovely sound of undigested food being vomited all over my room. I am amazed at the quantity of this. I changed food brands about a month ago, but she is only now haveing issues. She doesn't seem lethargic, nor does it stop her from eating the next morning. She has no other digestive symptoms, however she does have an unexplained limp in her front right leg. In the past two days the limp has mostly resolved itself. Today I limited her food intake to see if she is just over-eating, but she just began coughing and gagging again and I rushed her outside, where she remains. I am not sure if she vomited or not while she has been out there. So what do you think? Serious? Should I make the emergency trip to the vet?

What is best after you throw up 3 times?

So I woke up nauseous and my stomach nagging. So i went to the bathroom, had diarrhea and went back to bed. I woke up 2 hours later and didn't want to get out of bed because for some reason I was in less pain when I laid down. Then I got up and puked 3 times and I feel a lot better. What is best. I am pretty sure there is nothing left in my stomach but I don't want to eat anything big that would make me puke more. Any advice is good. My mom is usually with me but she is at work. :(

I've threw up 4 times today what should i do? PLEASE HELP?

Okay, so firstly, tell a parent that you're sick at your first opportunity.

You are very wise to not eat or drink anything!! Not many people know to do this. I am impressed!

You can rinse out your mouth with water or mouthwash, just be sure not to swallow anything.
Continue nothing by mouth until it's been at least 3-4 hours since you've vomited. Then you can begin with v-e-r-y small sips of water about every 10-15 minutes. If that foes well after 45-60 minutes, you can try a clear liquid, like apple juice. Then, only if you are feeling well, have 1/2 piece of toast, or a couple of saltine crackers.
Continue moving slowly back to food and drink. Avoid milk and milk products for 24 hours. Likewise meat, as, like milk, it's hard to digest. Stick with bananas, toast, rice, applesauce, noodles (no sauce, just butter), and that sort of bland food for a day.

If you're not well tomorrow, or if the vomiting won't stop even though you do not eat, see a doc. If the vomiting persists to the point you're being sick a few times an hour x 2-3 hours, see a doc. There are medications you can have to stop the vomiting, although docs tend to like a bug to run its course since it's your body ridding itself if something that is bad for it. However, if it gets out of hand or you become dehydrated, normally they'll prescribe something for you.

Typically, the horrible part of a stomach bug lasts about 12 hours, and then there may be another 12 hours of just not feeling yourself. You are probably just about through the worst of it.
But please, do tell your folks about it so they can help you, and just so they know. We parents like knowing when our kiddos need our help. <3

Good luck, sweetheart.

My dog won't stop sneezing! What's wrong?

My dog is a rat terrier, he'll be 9 (in human years) tomorrow. Today, he just randomly started having sneezing fits. He sneezes about 3 times in a row every few seconds. And it's been going on constantly for about 15 minutes now. But he did it once earlier this afternoon. I tried offering him some water, but he doesn't want it. I don't know what could have caused this. I had an orange earlier, I thought the smell may have gotten to him, but he was fine the other day when I had one around him.

He's really scaring me, and I don't know how to help him. The vets are all closed right now.
