Why Does My Hair Stick Up In The Back

Hair Sticks up in the back?

Its not really hair styling but I have a problem with my hair sticking up in the morning. I usually put water on it but It will stick up in the back so I have to have my hood on to hold it down until it drys. Is there anything I can do to keep my hair down so I don't have to wear hooded jackets all the time?

Hair sticks up when hair slicked back?

i m growing the slicked back greaser style hairstyle, today i went to the barbers and they said my hair isnt far off the style so i went home and put product in to try get the style, i find it quite hard to slick it back although my hair is about 3-4 inches, it hard to shape it and as soon as i slick it and even after i ve put hairspray in, about 40m mins later one side of my fringe starts to stick up slightly, it annoys me like mad and i m wondering why its doing this, do i need to grow it longer? is it just abit too short? and would anyone recommend a good product and comb?

Why does hair stick up around niagara falls?

More likely to be chill factor causing skin contraction and hair raising ( part of the attempt your body makes to improve its insulation against heat loss ). Were you feeling chilled?
If the effect is electrostatic, it wouldn't affect yous the hair on your head.... you would notice the prickling on the back of your hands. And electric effects are unlikely to persist for any length of time after teh source of charge separation has ben removed.

Why doesn’t my hair stick up properly in the front? It sticks up but it curls to the side and it never used to do this.

It's either too long , not cut proper for the hairstyle or your growth pattern is so strong it's winning. Use a strong firm hold gel to get your hair to stay up. Hope you have your way with your “do” dude.

How to get rid of hair sticking up on the back of my head? I'm a guy?

I'm a guy with medium length hair, and my hair ALWAYS sticks up on the back of my head (specifically the area where everyone has like the little bald spot, if you know what i mean, idk what to call it, sorry if im confusing you, lol). Anyway, the hair there sticks up in like all directions: up down left right. It looks like a mess! In the past, I've tried to pat it down with my palm but that only exacerbated the problem. I tried using a comb (I know right, haha, a guy using a comb, don't judge me) to try and I guess "comb it down" but I didn't even know what direction to comb it because I can't even figure out what direction the hair naturally parts. And then I ran Garnier Fructis serum (I think thats for gurls tho)The hair just goes in all directions; it's weird. How do I get rid of it? (Please don't tell me I have to cut it cuz then my hair would be uneven)

Do you know anyone whos hair sticks up in the back like Alfalfa?

Mine does when I wake up in the morning.

I pulled out a chunk of hair from stress and it grows back sticking straight up, how do I hide it until it gets longer?

Greetings,You “hide” it with a clip of some sort. May I recommend as I do with our word sound, that instead of “hiding” it, you just own it, be with it, and, learn from it. The time it takes to come back is time you have to observe and give contemplation to what is happening in your life, and to redirect yourself not through blame and shame, nor punishment, I mean this in the kindest of ways. Many of my clients used to cover up where they had caused something like this, even cutting and “hide” it, but now, they accept it as a part of their JOURNEY.We are on a journey; a road, a path in life and none of us are exempt from the learning, the things we later view as behind us, we grow each day, and, in many ways.Sending you love, and, understanding.Hope this is helpful~Home | www.naturallywithkaren.com

How do you get your hair to not stick up?

Depends on if you’re talking about cowlicks, flyaways, or you just got a haircut that’s shorter than you’d like. For flyaways, take a fine-tooth comb and cover it in hairspray, then gently brush down the flyaways. For cowlicks, make sure the hair is wet before applying a small amount of gel into your hands and rubbing them together. Run your fingers over the area with the cowlick, and rub in all directions for maximum coverage up to the root area. Once the gel is applied, take a comb and comb down the cowlick. For short hair, you can again use gel to smooth it down, same as a cowlick, depending on how short the hair is. If your hair is extremely short, it may not smooth down and you’ll have to wait for it to grow.Hope this helps!

Little hairs stick up on the top of my head when im done fixing it ?

If they are shorter than the rest of your hair and are about an inch or so long, they are either new hair growing in, or broken hair growing back.

Most likely though, it's from breakage. If you've gotten a perm/bleach/harsh dye in the past few months (or even wear your hair pulled really tight), you had hair that broke off right at the follicle/scalp and had to 'start over'. Hair grows about 1/2" a month, so after a few weeks to a few months, the hair will be long enough to notice, but not heavy enough to be weighted down. The good news is that they will stop sticking up once they get a little longer. In the meantime, just using a little watered down gel (put a little gel on your fingers and then run it under the faucet and rub your hands together), spray gel, or super hold hairspray will help to hold them down. The gel can be used on dry hair, the spray gel on dry to damp, and the hairspray works best for this on wet or damp hair, and then let it dry and use a little more spray if needed.

Hope that helps!
