Why am I getting the message "writing 'recovery'... FAILED (remote: size too large)" while installing TWRP recovery images using an ADB terminal to root Huawei Y3 II at fastboot?

The remote error you are receiving on your fastboot command prompt is almost always due to a size conflict between your /recovery partition and the filesize of the TWRP recovery you are trying to flash. In other words, if the filesize of your TWRP recovery is 18MB, and the size of your recovery partition is only 16MB, fastboot will give the remote error you mentioned in your question.Try this: instead of flashing TWRP to your Huawei device and using fastboot flash recovery twrp.img, try to boot into the recovery by using fastboot boot twrp.img (,assuming your TWRP filename is twrp.img. If it is not, rename it twrp.img to simplify matters) Executing the command: fastboot boot twrp.img will allow your device to boot into TWRP recovery mode without actually having to flash the /recovery partition. If this does not work, make sure that the filesize of your twrp.img is less than or equal to the alloted side of your recovery partitionIf all else fails, private message me on XDA-Developers Android Forums (my username is MotoJunkie01). On my Android phone, I am getting authentication problems when I connect to my network, even if the signal strength is excellent. What should I do?

Authentication problem occurs when the “handshake” between a router and a gadget fails for any number of reasons. The handshake first consists of the gadget sending a connection request along with the password in an encrypted form to the router. The router encrypts the copy of the password stored on it and compares the received data. If it matches, it sends an acknowledge signal and the devices are connected.Try these things out:1) Forget the network in your phone and enter the password again. It probably saved the wrong password.2) Reset the router. On all routers there will be a small reset button. Keep it pressed for about 5-10s till all the lights glow and release it. The router is now back to the initial setup when it was bought. The default ssid and password will be printed on the bottom of the router. Try connecting to the router using these. If it connects you can now try and change the ssid it back to the original one.3) If even this fails, then go to the router home page by opening a browser on a device which is able to connect to it (either through WiFi or LAN cable) and enter 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 and wen requested for a username and password, look for them under the router again. It is usually admin and admin/password. Explore around till you reach the wireless setup page with the option encryption scheme. It is wpa2-psk by default. Change it to wep. This is an older encryption scheme which is not as secure as wpa2-psk but it's enough for a home network. Enter an 8 character password and save these settings. Now give it a try. If this works then your mobile probably has some problem authenticating with a wpa2-psk based router.Good luck and Happy debugging!!!

Why can't I upload a video to Instagram with my Android device? Pictures upload just fine.

I’ve encountered that few times as well. Try the common debugging options like restarting the app (and phone), clearing the app cache. Next see if you have good connection (faster wifi would be ideal).Of course make sure your video is not more than 60 seconds in length. You should still be able to open the video on Instagram, but you need to trim it.What helped me was simply not posting the video right away. While you write your post caption the video is already being uploaded. If you hit post before the video is actually uploaded it can time out while “processing” so try waiting few minutes on the caption editing screen before posting the video. As this answer has been getting a lot of views, I decided add few more things here.Try uploading the same video from different internet connection. Instagram doesn't play nice with all internet connections and as these files tend to be large you might encounter issues.Try uploading the same video from different account. If that works, then it might be just a temporary issue with your main account. So try again later.Try uploading the video from different device.Try uploading a different video (preferably smaller one). If that works than look at the file size of the video file you wanted to upload in the first place. Maybe it’s unreasonably big (as in few GB or something)? Try compressing it first. And of course keep in mind that videos take time to be uploaded, so be patient. I’ve waited like 5 min for few videos (crazy right?).Hope that helps!Hit me up in Instagram, if you need assistance. Also if you’re interested in growing your Instagram account. I’ve put together a free e-mail course for you!Cheers,Johannes

When I try to listen to audio on a WhatsApp voice note, the screen goes black, the sound comes from the earpiece and I can’t hear it through the speakers. How do I fix it?

Looks like there is a problem with the proximity sensor. Whenever you are hearing an audio message on WhatsApp, and if the the proximity sensor is blocked, the following symptoms as said by you occur. The fix is to unblock the proximity sensor, to get proper audio through the main speakers and also prevent screen from going blank.

Why can't I open a downloaded PDF file on my mobile?

Download any PDF Reader app from Google Play Store and set it as the default app for opening PDF Document Files. Sometimes Google Chrome or Stock Browser does not allow to open the files even after setting the default apps.In that case, head towards File Manager App and choose your PDF file to open. If that does not work too, open the PDF Reader App you had installed, and locate the downloaded PDF file from the app’s browser. :)In case you want to check out Best of All PDF Reader & Scanner Apps, you can have a look here.
