Why does my iPhone 6s only say LTE never 4g at&t is my carrier?

Because at&t has two types of 4g coverage, neither of which is actually true 4g like they have in other countries, but in the US both HSPA and LTE are referred to as 4g even though they are very different speeds. This is because when Verizon introduced LTE and called it 4g, even though it technically isn't 4g, to make it seem faster, better and easier for people to remember. Because of that, other carriers like Sprint and T-Mobile called their HSPA networks 4g even though they are really somewhere between 3g and LTE in terms of actual speed, to seem more competitive with Verizon (and AT&T).AT&T took a slightly different route. They first upgraded a good chunk of their network to HSPA (ie the slower 4g) and shortly afterwards starting upgrading the major cities and suburbs to LTE (the faster 4g). The reason for doing that was so those in areas that weren't able to get LTE could at least still have "4g" speeds and there wouldn't be as big of a speed difference when customers were not in an LTE area.So the reason your phone says LTE is because you are in an area that has the fastest internet speeds. When you are in an area in which your phone says "4g" it's because you are using a cell phone tower that has the slower, HSPA, internet speed. If your phone previously said 4g instead of LTE, and all of a sudden it started saying LTE instead, it's because the tower nearest to you was upgraded and you now can benefit from the faster LTE 4g speeds. Also, if you purchase a new phone and it says LTE in an area that said "4g" and the new phone says LTE, it could be because the new phone is able to receive the LTE signals and your previous phone was not able to. So to refresh, for at&t only, 4g means it is using the slower HSPA network and LTE is when you're using the faster LTE network. Why does my iPhone say E or someimes o where it should say 3g or my wifi?

Your provider has many cell-towers that transmitting signal to serve you.A few of the cell towers are transmitting 3G signal, some will transmitt EDGE signal and most of them for GPRS.Since the 3G cell towers are the least, the 3G coverage area is least wide also.Your provider usually place 3G capable celltowers in city area,EDGE celltowers in sub urban area and GPRS in rural area.Your phone will automatically select the fastest connection that is availlable at the present time.If 3G signal is on the area,it select 3G and display it on screen,if 3G signal was lost, and EDGE signal is there it will pick up EDGE and " E " indicator is displayed,if the only pinnal found is GPRS your phone will display G or O.
And i think it has relation that when you move outside city area, your phone will display E instead of 3G,since most provider will only place their 3G celltowers in the city and placed EDGE or GPRS capable celltowers in the sub urban and rural area .
I hope this will help.

Why do my phone calls always say "call failed"?

I have an iPhone with AT&T. My girlfriend and I like to fall asleep together on the phone at night, but almost every morning when I wake up I see the call ended and it said failed? Is there like a limit to how long you can be on the phone? My plan has unlimited nights and weekends. Not sure otherwise

Why does my iPhone 6 say searching for signal?

You might see the searching on the top left corner of your iPhone and can't find any networks signal. One of my colleagues faced the same issue. There are many things that might cause this problem. My friend had an issue with the sim. However the sim was workin fine in other mobiles but it gave some problem with iPhone. We always thought the problem was with phone hardware or software update but no. Try changing your sim as a first step of your resolution. If the 1st step doesn't work, try to update your carrier settings up to date. Sometimes this might be a reason too.Sometimes not updating your IOS version might also give you tough time.If all of the above solutions didnt work, visit your apple store as the issue might be related to hardware.Hope this info is helpful.

Why does my iPhone say 4G instead of LTE? And is that faster or slower than LTE?

Why does my iPhone say 4G instead of LTE? And is that faster or slower than LTE?Well, it’s hard to say. If it displays both, at different times, than 4G should be faster, because it should be actual 4G.LTE stands for long term evolution, and was allowed when providers speeds are a substantial improvement over 3G, but do not meet true 4G standards. There’s nothing that says the 4G symbol on your phone has to mean it, so it’s really anybodies guess whether LTE or 4G means faster on your phone or carrier.Good luck. What is 4G? — HSPA+, LTE, WiMax, and more explained!4G vs LTE – what is the difference? What’s the difference between 4G and LTE?

Why does my IPhone run out of storage so fast?

I have an 8 GB iPhone, and I ALWAYS run out of storage! I used to have an 8 GB iPod touch, and I had over 1,000 pictures and a few pages of apps. Although, my phone runs out with just under 800 pictures and barely 2 pages of apps. Also, when I go to the usage section in settings, it says that I have no storage left but have only used 6.4 GB of memory. What do I do to fix this? Please don't say delete apps because I'm down to the only apps I use.

Iphone always searching for signal?

I would just go back to iOS 8 and wait for future iOS 8 updates. I am on iOS 8 on my iPhone 5s and it is very slow and laggy, but I am sure in the very near future, Apple will seed out future updates for iOS 8 which will greatly improve iOS 8. The same exact thing happened with iOS 7 first came out, then with time, Apple seeded updates to iOS 7, which greatly improved the performance of iOS 7.

My advice, go back to 8, enjoy the new features, and be patient for future updates to iOS 8.
