How do you fix a DVD player that is only playing in black and white?

I'm down to those last few ideas:1. Your player has an NTSC mode that's not mentioned in the manual (would explain the black and white image), and somehow your son pressed the right buttons. Try a Google search on your model number and see if anyone else has posted instructions on how to change modes.2. Your TV can interpret NTSC and PAL systems per input, and there's a menu setting to adjust it. (you can eleimante this possibility by connecting the player to a different TV)3. The player is shot and it's time for a new one.Solution 1: Check your cables to see if you have plugged to wrong port for the video and audio, you can switch them to see if it turn normal. Solution 2: If the cables to ports are right, the cable may have problems, they maybe broken, or they may have compatible problem to the players and TV, this is often occurred between players and TVs in different brand. You can choose to pick high quality cables from Amazon, here we recommend you to choose these high quality and compatible cables from Amazon, they are carefully selected by professor. Solution 3: Choose to convert DVD disc movies to common videos like MP4, then you can copy to USB flash drive and watch DVD movies on HDTV via USB. This is the most fashion way to play DVD movies. What read speed USB flash drive will I need to watch 4K movies on UHD SMART TV?

I like simple answers so thanks for asking.I have terrible experience with these USB devices and drives with TV, getting even 1080p to work. Here’s what it really boils down to.If you have a decent TV then it will read from any disk and buffer in memory to provide smooth playback but startup is delayed. If it’s a shit TV it will have near nothing memory and will try to Hulk Smash your disk into giving it all the bits it can and then play it back in jittery coma inducing flashes of stills. Hopefully it’s not the latter. If at all possible get the SanDisk Cruzer usb drives, 64GB are easy to come by. They have been the best since the beginning of time when crappy thumb drives were all the rage in manufacturing. I guess it still is.Unfortunately 4K movies will take more space than what Sandisk thumbdrives can provide. You can try with a regular WD external drive to see if the TV can buffer. The best however is SSD external drive. Even 120 or 250GB Size should be good for a movie or two, fast startup and smooth playback.
