Why Does My Phone Keep Automatically Deleting Some Of My Texts

Why does Snapchat automatically delete the history of conversations?

Snapchat employs what is called ephemeral messaging:ephemeralLasting a short period of timeUsually, in messaging, messages will be stored until you manually deleted, allowing you to scroll back through them, just in case you've forgotten what you were talking about, or want to recall an earlier moment in time, for example a photo that was shared. The problem with this, however, is that it does not truly reflect conversation in real life: conversation topics are normally forgotten within a couple of hours, or even as soon as you move onto the next one. That's where Snapchat comes in. Snapchat removes stories from viewing 24 hours after you have uploaded that particular pic or video, because no one's likely to dwell on that moment in real life.Ephemeral messaging also applies to their Chat, which deletes as soon as both the sender and recipient have seen it once, or after 24 hours on a group chat.Snaps are deleted once they have been viewed by the recipient, and possibly replayed once. However, I would say that this part of Snapchat is now becoming increasingly less important, as now screenshots can be taken of snaps and stories, and chat messages can be saved by long-presssing them. Even screen recordings can be taken of videos. And what's to say that Snapchat don't keep them on their servers anyway. You might not be able to see them, but I'm sure they're still there.Come on, you know they do that.

Deleting her call log and texts?

My girlfriend does this, but she's got a little OCD for keeping things clean and organized, so I don't think too much of it.

Now, if that whole "clean and organized" thing only applied to the phone, and no other areas of her life, then I'd have to assume she was hiding things that she didn't want me to see.

Is Tracfone trying to delete some minutes automatically from me?

So I just bought a bunch of minutes last week. I think I had around 3500 as of last Wednesday. Not even 2 days ago, I remember having around 3200ish. Today I checked and it went down to 2300ish and then like 2 hours later it went to 2190. I know I'm not using these minutes and I had other occurrences similar to this one although not losing as many minutes as this time. I tried calling into Tracfone 2 different times when this happened in the past and had two different representatives give me different responses and none of them can look into what happened but I let it go. I don't know if Tracfone is trying to cheat me out of minutes I purchased because I purchase too many minutes at once when I do buy them. It doesn't make sense that it would go from 3200 to 2190 when I know I didn't make that many calls, texts, or use the internet in less than 48 hours. Does anyone else have anything similar to them happening? What should I do to address this big loss in minutes? I don't think calling into customer service will help this time either. I spent $150 last week and I'm just really upset that about 1/3 of my minutes just disappeared.

Why can't I delete my messages on Snapchat?

First off, I'd avoid using any 3rd party apps with Snapchat, *especially* any that ask you for your SC name and password. They can likely get your account blocked. On to the question. Messages will remain present in Snapchat for 2 reasons: either you tapped it or the other Person tapped it. If by any chance, you've used snapchat on multiple devices (like phone and tablet), it's possible you may have tapped a message on the other device. It's always worth checking, if you have a pesky message that won't go away. The tricky part is if the other person has saved the message and you want to delete it. Often, If you ask them, they'll "untap" it for you. But in the event that they don't, blocking them will remove the conversation from your list, and remove the messages as well. Hope that helps!Snapchat: Decalex

If your girlfriend/boyfriend is deleting text messages on their phone what does that mean?

That their inbox is full.

How to permanently delete texts on iPhone 4S?

Every time you press DELETE on a message, the software in the phone automatically sends it to a place where they are marked to be deleted. Then, the next time you SINC with iTunes, the messages will be permanently deleted. But if you don't want to SINC or can't SINC, you can go to SETTINGS>GENERAL>SPOTLIGHT SEARCH and UNCHECK "Messages" and the deleted ones won't show up when searched. You're welcome! You will have finally defeated your parents! :)

Boyfriend deletes his texts?

Last night, my boyfriend had to run into the store real quick and I decided to wait in the car. Well, while he was inside, I look through his phone for the first time and noticed that he deletes ALL of his texts. He has a couple that are locked (cute messages from me) but other than that his inbox was empty. He came back to the car and he could tell something was wrong but I didn't say anything. He asked me for a kiss so I gave him one. I just want to ask him WHY he deletes his texts? Is he hiding something? How do I ask him.. he won't be mad that I looked through his phone BTW.

If someone has blocked you on their phone, and you text them and it shows delivered, does that mean they are receiving your text?

The answer to this has a lot of variables. In short, yes.Let me explain. If you were blocked on a phone running symbian you will still be able to text them however, you can be blocked separately if you text them, from texting them.If you were blocked on an Android phone. You can text them and their phone will send a delivery report, but since Android has millions of text apps on the Google play store, you can always send an Android user a text, whether they get the text is up to them, how ever the phone itself still receives the text. The only way to call them is to set up private calling with your carrier. Sometimes it comes with service and you can just Google how to enable it.iPhones are simple, blocked equals blocked. The only way you can call someone who's blocked you on an iPhone is to use private calling.Thank you.
