Why Does My Throat Hurt After Talking

Why does my throat hurt when I talk/sing?

OK, do you remember the warnings on bottles of pain relievers, that say “if pain persists, see your doctor”?This is when you do that.Regular talking should not cause pain. Singing (with proper technique) shouldn’t hurt. I suggest strongly that you get this checked out.

Why does my throat hurt when I talk loudly?

Cuz you're irritating the soft membrane tissue that lines the throat. Lots of people get a sore throat after talking loudly for extended periods of time, like public speakers, etc.

Why does my throat hurt when I talk?

Well, have you gone through puberty yet? If not, your voice is probably changing (into, apparently, a soft, deeper voice). I'm going through puberty right now. My voice used to be almost as high as a girl's, but now it's much deeper (like a bass; the tone, not the fish).

You may have punctured your vocal cords if what I wrote above is wrong. Screaming damages the voicebox if you scream rally loudly and in an EXTREMELY high-pitched tone. I got sore throats when I screamed in my old voice.

Maybe your tonsils need to be taken out if they haven't already been taken out. The tonsils prevent germs from going down your throat, but in doing so, they may actually be what causes many sore throats. Of course, after removal, your voice will be a little raspier, but this, in most cases, is usually not permanent.

Maybe you have a horrible case of laryngitis. A case that just won't go away. Or you could have somehow lodged a bug in your voicebox accidentally. Think of it this way: LOUD SCREAMING = WIDE OPEN MOUTH. WIDE OPEN MOUTH + BUGS = BAD COMBO or TUMMY YUCKY. A gross way of thinking at it, but possible.

It is possible that microscopic aliens have invaded your body, but the other reasons are much more plausible.

Whatever the case, you should definitely consult a doctor, a school nurse, or a relative that just graduated medical school for professional help. A speech therapist may or may not help; your decision there. But seriously, something may have happened that requires medical attention and/or surgery (i.e.: tonsilitis requiring a tonsilectomy)

Whatever has happened, I wish you luck with whatever you choose to do.

Why does my throat hurt when I talk, or swallow?

When this happened, the first day didn't hurt much, so I didn't worry about it. At around 8:00 PM during night, it started to hurt a little more, so I drank a some honey tea. The second day which is now, when I woke up, it hurt twice as more, and when I rotate my head it began to hurt my neck which didn't happen until I got this sore throat. So I drank some salt water and some more honey tea which helped a little bit, but are there anymore way to get rid of this?

My throat hurts when i talk and swallow?

Pour a small amount of listerine into the back of your throat and let it stay there for at least 30 seconds
gargle and repeat.. this will kill the germs in your throat..

The left side of my throat hurts after singing. Why could this be?

You really probably should see a doctor, but if it’s hurting only on one side you may have an infection that’s currently only affecting that side. Is the pain muscular in origin or does it feel acidy and infected? If it’s muscular, then the way you’re using your voice may be the culprit (and you may be hyper-functional on one side). Has your voice deteriorated along with this pain, i.e. husky, lower, reduced upper range, cutting in & out? If it has then honestly you’d likely be doing more harm than good to continue on with this performance, despite it being short. If your voice still sounds normal then perhaps you could rest it all day today and see how it is tomorrow.
