How do i limit bandwidth with a encore enhwi-n3 wireless router?

I just want to know how can i limit her bandwith so i slow down her internet speed to the point she can't watch on youtube anymore. just kidding i just wan't to limit her internet speeds so it won't affect mine.

english is not my native language. deal with it.

How to control bandwidth in wireless network?

Use the QOS settings on the router. You will have to login to the router as an administrator, typically its 192.168.1.1. Find the settings for QOS (Quality of Service), you should have options to assign certain devices/users bandwidth limits and priorities.

Sapping WiFi Bandwidth?

Me and my friend use a common WiFi router to connect to the internet. The bloody bugger is always up to something that my connection becomes terribly slow when he gets on line. Is there something I can do to sap the most of my WiFi??

How do I set the Qos on my windstream router?

>open browser and type http://192.168.254.254 then Advanced Setup then Quality of Service
>Choose Add or Remove to configure network traffic classes,
>enter MAC address of unit that you want to limit.
>The lower the class the less bandwidth gets allocated to the device when multiple devices are connected.

Wired vs Wireless PS4 connection when dealing with lag from other services.?

I experience pretty bad lag when playing online with my PS4 whenever other people in my house are watching Netflix or web browsing. Whenever I'm the only one using the Internet everything's fine. I've upgraded to a dual band router, changed QoS settings, etc. Nothing has helped. I figure my last option is to use a wired connection.

Will a wired connection help reduce lag compared to a wireless connection? Even if it only slightly helps...

Wh does netflix take bandwidth priority on my network, even though it is running by wifi.?

The only idiotic answer here is the very answer complaining of idiotic answers...

Netflix doesn't prioritise itself. The affect you are seeing is simply the available bandwidth being shared out among the current users. If you started Netflix first and then the other users you would see ITS bandwidth drop. This is a simple and inevitable effect of being constrained by the speed of your Internet connection - if it runs at say 8Mbps but the apps using it would account for 12Mbps none of them will run at full speed.

Routers don't "prioritise" wired traffic for this very reason since it is almost a normal state of affairs for domestic users. If they did you wouldn't get ANY wireless traffic through whenever the wired devices were saturating your Internet link. Nothing you have described here sounds like an actual problem (its simply not what you were expecting) but if it really is a problem many routers do have QoS settings in their configurations you might try adjusting but don't expect a truly dramatic effect - true QoS depends on all devices along the data path respecting those settings and anythin you configure on the router will have no impact whatsoever when the data arrives at your ISP.

How can I control broadband bandwidth over wifi?

Well you can limit Bandwidth, here's how....I have Dlink router so the following screenshots will give you an idea of how to change bandwith-1.Open cmd and type "ipconfig"2. This will appear :3. now check the default gateway address....4. open any browser5.Enter this ip address as url and press enter6. Username is generally "admin" and password can be "admin" or something similar, if you are not aware then contact the ISP or the person who configured your wifi for the first time, else check the manual of wifi router.7. click on manual setup besides cancel8. Click on "advance" tab and then click on "traffic control" as shown in the image below:9. Now check the below screenshot-Tick mark on "Enable traffic control "tick mark on " Automatic Distribute Bandwidth"Key in download and upload bandwidth manually.(Remember to keep upload and download bandwidth same because if you dont then it can cause serious problems in internet speeds.)Now enter your own bandwidth-- remember "kbps" here means "Kilo-bits per second and not "kilo-Bytes per second"8bits=1byteso 512 kilobits = 512/8 kilobytes = 64KBps(Actual download speed)so calculate accordingly. If u want actual download speed say  1 MBps(1024 KBps) then you need to set bandwidth as 1024 x 8 = 8192 kbps10. Once done, save the settings and reboot your wifi router.... and whola check the download speed

How do I control the bandwidth of a WiFi modem for other devices in my house?

You can try this,Press the Window-button+R and type "gpedit.msc".Now a dialog box will appear, select "Administrative Templates".Select "Network" from there and go to "QoS Packet Scheduler", after opening this select "Limit reservable bandwidth".The setting is disabled by default, Enable that setting and set the bandwidth limit to as much as you want to slow down the connection, bandwidth is set to 20% by default. Don't make it "0" as it will increase the speed.Download something with new setting enabled to check if you've actually made the connection slower. P.S- Idk if this works or not but try this. If does not work make the setting "Not Enabled" again. :)
