Why Does My Xbox Restart When My Sharp Flat Screen Tv Gets Shut Off

Samsung TV: Why does my Samsung TV keep turning off and on?

There are several possible reasons why a Samsung TV will repeatedly turn off then on after it warms up. The causes and fixes are listed in order from easy to difficult.First try unplugging the TV from the wall for at least 60 seconds. If that doesn’t work, try resetting the TV using the appropriate menu option.Old firmware. Check to see if the firmware is the latest version. If not, download the latest firmware. Apparently, WiFi can be defective on some of their TVs, and a firmware change may fix the problem.Cables may need to be reseated. Sometimes, dirt gets in the connections, causing some resistance. Disconnecting and reconnecting the cables can fix this problem.Underrated capacitors. Several years ago, Samsung settled a lawsuit where the power supply in the TV had underrated capacitors. You can tell if your TV is affected by this problem by looking at the capacitors. (Also, sometimes the power supply will “click” when the TV is turned on.) The top of the capacitor will be bulging (not flat) if the capacitor has gone bad. You can fix this problem by replacing the capacitors with higher voltage capacitors. You will need to have good soldering skills to do this on your own. Or, you could find a replacement power supply board somewhere.Defective motherboard. The only solution is to replace the motherboard. This was the problem on my TV, bought in 2013. I called Samsung and was persistent. Even though the TV was out of warranty, they agreed to cover the cost of the replacement part if I paid for the labor. (I could have swapped the board myself, but they insisted on having an authorized repair place do the swap.)

Why does my Toshiba TV have no sound?

That is too little information. TV model? Do you use any external sound devices, headphones, loudspeakers? It has no sound with a particular input such as a gaming console or dvd player? All we can give you are some hints:Make sure TV is not muted.Make sure the TV is not set to SAP (secondary audio protocol)Make sure TV input is correct (some video inputs may need separate audio input)Make sure there is not a pair of headphones or speakers connected to the TV audio out jack on the side or front of your TV.Check all of the cables that are connected into the back of your TV. (it is possible the TV a cable has become disconnected or loose)Turn off the TV, cable box, and anything else connected to the TV. Sometimes turning everything off and then back on can fix the “problem”. The audio output of the TV box may be wrongly configured, or the same could happen with a dvd player or gaming console.Yes, the audio pre amplifier inside the tv could be faulty (not very common). You could have damaged the loudspeakers (but they would probably still make some sort of noise). Usually these sound “issues” are solved within the menus or software on the tv or peripherals.Good Luck

I am currently installing a game on Xbox One. If I turn off the console and leave the disc in over night, will the game still install while the console is shut off?

Microsoft recently added a feature similar to the one you’re asking about, but not quite. It allows games to download while the console is in standby mode, but not off. You’ll have to enable that feature in your settings. If the setting is enabled and you don’t unplug the console, the installation will continue even after you tap the glowing button on the front of the console.

Why would a TV turn off and on by itself?

Okay, I am not sure that this is the reason why your television turns itself on and off, but this is what happened to me.For a short time, I suspected that someone was coming into my house during the day while I was working. Why? Because the television would periodically be on or set to a channel that I would never watch. I was, at that time, leaving the patio sliding door open so that my dog could go in and out during the day as she needed.Until one day while I was home during the day watching television. All of a sudden, the tv started changing channels and turning itself on and off. What was occuring was that at that particular time of the day, sunlight was hitting the remote sensor on the television. With a tree moving in front of the light when there was enough of a breeze to cast shadows causing the tv to turn off and on and switch channels! Not sure that this is what is happening with yours, but it was a relief to know that it wasn't someone coming into my home!BTW, if someone had been coming into my home, my dog would have probably welcomed him/her! Not much of a watchdog at all!

Why would my Sanyo plasma tv turn itself off randomly?

1. If it happens while your watching it, then the TV or device (cable box, video game console, DVD player, etc.) has a problem.

2. Some TVs will turn themselves off after a certain period of time after there is no signal. I.E.: Your watching TV from your cable box, you turn the cable box off, XX minutes later the TV turns itself off.

If #1 is your problem, try using different devices (cable, DVD, XBox, etc.) and see if the TV keeps turning off. If it only turns off on a certain device, then that device is the problem. If it turns off no matter what device your using, then either one of the cables is not completely plugged in, or the TV has an internal problem.

If #2 is your problem, you can edit the settings of the TV via the menu, and change it. It will be something like "no signal shut off" or "auto off".

My toshiba tv power light is blinking red what does that mean ?

Toshiba has issued a service bulletin to address this issue. It is advised to visit their website with your model number to determine the proper course of action.

Most incidents are power supply related, some are simple as fuses & others require soldering new components. In limited cases the tv can reset itself by simply unplugging it, this is of course, only a temporary solution if it does work.

contact toshiba asap if your tv is under warranty to expedite service.
