Why Does Nothing Happen When I Plug My Iphone Into My Laptop

Why does my iPad say 'not charging' even when it is plugged in?

The problem: The iPad says it’s "Not Charging", and two things could happen:it is not chargingit's actually charging, but really slowly. The issue here is that iPad is receiving enough power from the charger to operate, but it's not enough to charge the battery. The iPad requires certain power level to charge normally. For example an iPad Mini usually uses about 1.7W-2.2W while you're using it. If the charger only passes this amount or less, then you’ll get the “not charging” message. To solve the problem, you have to check 3 things:chargercableUSB port/ outletThe problem is caused by one of these 3 elements.Your USB port could be old (not high-power), the cable can be damaged, or the charger could be a cheap, non-MFi-certified charger, or maybe an iPhone charger. If you use the regular iPad charger with the original cable + power outlet, you shouldn’t see this message. Also, in some cases on USB port of the computer will charge the iPad, and the other won’t.But if you turn off the iPad it will charge faster as it will not use energy while you are charging it.

What happens if you connect an aux cable to phone and a laptop?

Interesting proposition, but you are connecting a cable onto the audio outs of two devices, which leads to nothing at all. So what you would be hearing is silence.

Why does my laptop say there's nothing new to import when I try to upload my photos and videos?

I have a Toshiba laptop with a Windows 10 software. Whenever I plug in my iphone to transfer my photos and videos to my laptop, it says that there are no new items found to import. In reality, there are about 2,000 photos and videos on my iPhone that aren't on my laptop. It's only some photos that this happens with though. Like all of the photos in 2013. Any photos more recent are able to be uploaded but not most of the photos from that time period. How can I fix this?

What would happen if i plugged my iphone into someone Else's computer?

When you plug you iPhone into another person's computer, iTunes will ask you if you would like to clear photos etc. and replace them with the contents on the other person's computer (Computer 2). If you say no, nothing will happen.
Note: Take precautions and read the warning extremely carefully, as it might be very confusing to certain people.
If you wish to upload videos and photos to your borother's iMac here is how you do it:
MUSIC (Putting onto your iPhone only)
Go to iTunes and say no to all warnings. Click on your iPhone and click 'add files manually' or the third checkbox in the summary. Then all you have to do is drag your bro's music or any other iTunes user's songs on your iPhone.
PHOTOS (Exporting from your iPhone to the iMac)
Unfortunately, I don't have a Mac, but if you go on a normal computer you just have to go to the 'Computer' file, click on your iPhone, click DCIM and just select the photos you want and copy them to anywhere. From here you can get a USB and transfer the photos from a PC to Mac, you could email or Bluetooth even.
Videos are the same as photos.

I really hope I helped you.

How do I connect my iPhone to my laptop?

Connect using a Lightning to USB cableThe first way to connect your iPhone to your laptop or PC is to use the Lightning to USB cable that came with your iPhone. If you need a spare or a replacement, then it’s easy enough to find an official or third-party lightning cable. For example, this branded white Lightning cable works perfectly with the iPhone and costs less than a tenner.Plug the Lightning end of the cable into your phone, and the USB end into a USB port on your computer. Then, download and iTunes from Apple’s website. Launch iTunes once it is installed. From here, click Devices then select your iPhone. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your iPhone. From here, you can copy across music, photos, videos, apps and more. You can also unlock our second option – connecting wirelessly.Connect using a wireless networkYou can also sync your iPhone with your PC or Mac wirelessly after the initial connection has been made.To do this, connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes. Select your iPhone, click Summary, then select ‘Sync with this device over Wi-Fi’. Then, disconnect your iPhone from your PC.To begin the wireless syncing process, you have three options:On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > iTunes Wi-Fi Sync, then tap Sync Now.In iTunes on your PC, click the Devices button, then click Sync. You can also sync manually by clicking Add To, dragging items to the pane on the right, then clicking Done.Charge your iPhone 6 using a wall charger. Syncing will begin automatically.Wireless syncing is slower than wired syncing, but it may be more convenient for you. Also note that you can’t restore your iPhone using wireless sync.If you find this article useful then click on the upvote it will help for encouraging me.

Phone won't stop vibrating in laptop?

when I plug my phone into my laptop with my phone charger USB it keeps non stop vibrating by switching between charging/uncharging really quickly. Why is this happening and how do I fix it? best answer gets 5 stars

Laptop won't recognise iPhone?

Ok, so I plug in my iPhone 4S into my Acer laptop (both around a year old and working fine) and the little jingle for insertion into USB port sounds, but that's all that happens. The phone doesn't start charging, nor does the computer recognise that anything's been plugged in (I've checked the 'Computer' folder, nothing's there). Fairly sure it's not the phone - I plugged it into my mum's computer and it worked just fine - iTunes recognised it was there and opened immediately, and that's what my own laptop did until about a week ago. I've also tried plugging in my USB hard drive (it transfers files just fine) and my old 2006 4GB iPod nano (it charges and transfers music fine too). It just seems to be the iPhone 4S that my laptop doesn't like. Any thoughts on how I can fix this? Just to clarify: My laptop recognised everything I plugged into it a week ago, now it recognises everything else EXCEPT my iPhone! It was fine, now it's not.

When I open up the properties it says this:
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)" The only software/hardware change I'm aware of is updating to iOS 6.0.1 and updating to the latest version of iTunes, but iTunes recognises everything else I plug in, and when I plug the phone into my mum's computer it runs fine, like I said.

Thanks :)
