Why Does Obama Blame Conservatives For The Utter Failure Of Obama Care

Why do Conservatives say Obama lied about his health care promise that 'If you like your plan, keep it. If you like your doctor, keep it.'?

They say it because it was provided as an anti-”Obamacare” talking point. But in one sense it WAS true: junk insurance plans that cost a pittance, featured high deductibles and copays, and paid virtually nothing were no longer permitted. As a result, many Americans who’d opposed Obama from the beginning suddenly decided that those plans were highly desirable, and that Obama had no right to keep them from having such plans if that’s what they wanted. This conviction was helped along by several misconceptions that have been circulating for a while. First, the notion that health insurance isn’t strictly necessary, since getting sick is a “choice,” and they were “choosing” to get exercise and “eat right.” So why should they be “forced” to have insurance if they didn’t intend to have medical problems?Second, the notion that if, despite their efforts, they got sick, they could just pay for it out of pocket. (Never mind the fact that many doctors can’t and won’t take cash for an office visit——the vast majority of Americans could NOT afford even an uncomplicated laparascopic surgery, let alone a more complicated illness or procedure.)And, third—-and this is the most ridiculous one of all—-that the emergency room makes a dandy substitute for every form of health care, and it’s free of charge to boot!I always tell these people, “Obama told the truth. If you like your doctor, you can keep him/her….but it might cost you extra. That’s because the ACA was designed primarily to ensure affordable health care for more Americans, not to provide bargains for people who already have insurance.”

Why do Democrats blame George Bush for Barack Obama's failures?

I’m not a Democrat but there are legitimate criticisms of decisions that Bush made that we still live with today. Much of the increase in the national debt is due to Bush’s tax cuts that weren't paid for and decisions to start a two front war in Iraq and Afghanistan that also weren't paid for.The financial crisis was the result of a housing bubble that occurred during the Bush administration. You can reasonably blame the Clinton administration for encouraging lending to minority communities and deregulating banks, but the housing bubble could have and should have been cooled off much earlier. He started with a serious recession which hit federal revenues and boosted welfare spending, and he also spent money on extending unemployment insurance and on stimulus packages. Arguably I think the money could have been better spent, but extending unemployment and the stimulus package had bipartisan support. There is legitimate evidence to believe that Bush was presented with information that Osama bin Laden was going to attack the United States and chose to ignite the threat. He may not have been able to prevent it, but completely ignoring the threat was imprudent. As a result of that we had to have a war with Afghanistan. Going into Iraq and splitting our defense resources was a seriously poor decision. We made that decision based on either very poor evidence or outright lies. As a result of that we arguably are dealing with ISIS due to taking out a strong central government in Iraq and destabilizing the Middle East.President Obama hasn't been perfect, but his hands are largely tied by decisions made by previous presidents. The economic recovery has been tepid, but it took decades to fully recover from the Great Depression and the rest of the world is doing even worse. Poor foreign policy decisions made by Bush have blown up our national debt and have arguably made us less safe.

Why does Obama get blamed for everything?

It’s a multi-layered strategy:First off, Trump doesn’t tend to accept responsibility for anything. If things are going well, he takes the credit. If something goes wrong…blame the Democrats, particularly Obama, because he was ‘naturally responsible’ for the failed policies of government that Trump asserts he is trying to fix.By attacking Obama, he’s securing support from his political base, many of whom either genuinely believe that Obama was bad for the country, or are sufficiently racist that they will believe any negatives that are thrown at the US’ first black President.By association, if Obama is bad, Democrats are bad. After all, was he not a Democratic President? It feeds into a fairly superficial argument that the policies and beliefs of one member of a party must therefore be shared by every other member of that party. There’s a fair amount of irony in that there are plenty of serving (and mostly soon-to-retire) Republicans who don’t support Trump. It’s an attack strategy for the Midterms: by painting Democrats as bad, and suggesting that the Republicans are the only party interested in governing fairly or appropriately (despite evidence to the contrary), Trump is positioning the GOP for the upcoming Midterm elections, encouraging the electorate to put more Republicans into office, rather than electing Democrats.Do remember: this is a man that has never had to accept personal responsibility for his actions. The bankruptcies at his many failed companies never touched him personally, and Congress has thus far failed to rein him in on any of his actions as President. To Trump, consequences can never touch him, but he can spin a narrative that ensures that impact someone else - hence the focus on Obama.

Why do people still blame Obama for Obamacare, wasn’t it Congress that made the rules?

As your question correctly states, President Obama did not himself write the legislation or the rules by which it has been implemented. Yet comprehensive health care reform that extended coverage to a wide swath of people that could not qualify or afford insurance for a variety of economic and structural reasons was one of, if not his single highest legislative priority as he entered his Presidency. In that role, President Obama was perhaps the encourager in chief, though he was not entirely detached he did hold talks with a variety of legislative and business leaders in order to enlist supporters and help broker compromises with and between a variety of stakeholders with competing interests. That said, the authors and supporters of the legislation and the President did not take it upon themselves to reduce the complex Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (that came it at over 1200 pages in legislative language before adding in the specific implementation and rules language) to a simple one word meme that stripped away the language pertaining to its intent and objectives. It was rather the legislations critics and opponents, for whom the original act of associating the totality of the PPACA or in its shortened from, the Affordable Care Act with his name created or conjured an unfavorable linkage; that of a leader that they rejected and derided, thus making the legislation itself easier to deride and reject. Thus Obamacare became for them a pejorative meme and a rallying cry. It’s not without irony, therefore, that supporters of the ACA, Democrats and the President himself decided that rather than rejecting the term out-of-hand as innately unflattering, a negative “vanity project” (as it was almost certainly in tended by its critics), they instead adopted it as their own. And this turnabout, arguably, has reduced or usurped the negative power of the framing for the measure many supporters who thence forward have wielded it as a symbol and an affectionate shorthand for a positive achievement to be associated with a popular President.Whether the term itself connotes blame or praise? That is truly in the eyes of the beholder.

Whoia the bigger failure? Obama or Bush?

I think both are equal failure. On civil liberty`s they failed. The patriot act and NDAA. Bush crashed the economy. Under Obama our unemployment rate is still at 25%, That`s the true unemployment rate. Both failed the economy. (I live in Northern Cali. Driving by deserted solyndra buildings every day really doesn't help my opinion on Obama) Bush invading Iraq? He failed on foreign policy. Obama invading Somalia, Yemen, And Libya? Another failure on foreign policy. Compared to Clinton, Obama`s horrible. Compared to Reagan Bush was horrible. Yucky, Poopy, Gross..

Did Conservatives forget that Bush left unpaid wars, prescription drug plan, and tax cuts for the wealthy?

Yup, The Big Lie is crucial to their existence.

Especially The Big Lie to oneself.
