Why do people insist on tanning?
Both. I think that people have no idea how damaging the effects of the sun can be! I know a girl who tans non-stop, and her skin is darker than a black girl's I know! It is ridiculous! People have no idea that if they tan, they will be old and shrivelly looking by the age of twenty!! I think that fair skin is actually pretty! I don't understand the concepts of beauty these days, that's for sure! Good point about tanning! I think people who tan are just plain stupid!!!
Why does Trump get such a bad wrap in the media yet Hilary Cinton always gets a free pass?
I just dont understand why, whenever Trump makes a gaff, blunder, the news media is all over him, yet when it comes to hilary clinton its like she can do no wrong. Do people forget the role she played in the death of the US ambassador and soldiers in Libya while she was Secretary of State, or that she had an email server at her home while she was SOS which is completely illegal? What is with the media bias?
Why doesn't the media just wait until Trump messes up big enough that he can't even lie about it?
With this president there is the fact that since he took the election, he’s worked hard to undermine the legitimacy of the press. Considering how much free air time they gave him during the campaign you think he’d have been on much better terms with them. He set himself up for his press though, because they would report what was said, and then the next day or hour, he’d contradict the previous days story. So now they had to report that. Then he gets angry and tweets weird attacks on people he should be above commenting on, and that’s public information and it’s notable because then his aides come on television and defend that, and they’re left high and dry when Trump tweets something else. How can you not report what’s happening when you’re the news?But saying no one is allowed to report the news of a growing problem because the volcano hasn’t yet spewed is not rational. You have to know what’s leading up to what might be a powerful explosion or you might not survive. Trump’s undermining of the faith of the people in the media has worked too well as it is, if they waited for the smoking gun, no one would touch it.
What could cause the news media to stop talking about every single idiotic, embarrassing thing Trump says or does?
They could find a conscience and do their jobs instead of trying to divide our country even further than it is already divided - but that would require them to take a hard look in the mirror.It’s the job of the press to report on things that happen - not to put their own “spin” and interpretation on things in order to gain ratings. That used to be the job of serious journalists. Every day on CNN, MSNBC, etc I see journalists putting their “spin” and “interpretation” on President Trump’s statements and it is driving our country further and further apart and really degrading trust in the media - this is not good for our society and makes me hurt inside deeply.When President Trump blamed both sides for the violence in Charlottesville, the media rushed to attack him for supporting Neo Nazi’s, White Supremacists, etc.They interpreted his statement as a sign of support for Neo Nazism, White Supremacy and Racism.If the Media had been honest, they might’ve examined how Anti-fa and various leftwing groups have used violence at conservative events to shut down free speech and intimidate/attack normal Americans -This List Of Attacks Against Conservatives Is Mind Blowingand let the viewers decide for themselves whether President Trump has a point about how left-wing violence is also to blame. But instead they paint the picture of Trump as a bigot/Nazi supporter and glorify the leftwing Anti-Fa movement.This is especially dangerous because you are giving people the idea that it is ok to use violence against Trump and his supporters because they are Nazi’s and violence against Nazis is ok.The basic tenets of a civilized society is that we uphold a social contract in which the use of violent force is NOT a permissible way to conduct ourselves. When the mainstream media decides to inflame divisions in our country to boost ratings and attack Trump, they are putting the future of our very civilization at risk.Saying that violence on both sides is wrong is not an endorsement of Nazism, and the people in the media who have spun it that way are true enemies of America that really need to take a long hard look at how they are conducting themselves.
Why does Jane and Finch have such a bad reputation?
Hi, I live in Jane and Finch and I do understand where the generalisations come from with the media reporting excessively about the crime in the area and the crime that exists here. But I really do not understand why so many people have this perception that it’s a very dangerous place and that walking alone at night means you’re going to get robbed or shot at. Also many people think the place has constant gang shootings, drug dealings, and muggings which isn’t really the case. Primarily, all the bad things occur in alleyways and not on the main intersections. I seem to think the reason people think this way is because of population of immigrants who reside here. In my opinion, the only people that ever say that the area is "dangerous" are people that don't live in the area. I lived in Jane and Finch all my life and haven’t once witnessed a shooting. Yes, I have heard gun shots and have seen gangs but that could happen and be seen anywhere. Just remember if you look for trouble, trouble will find you. So please share why you think Jane and Finch has been given such a bad reputation and what you think about the area yourself? Thanks!
