Why Does The Tea Party Think Average Americans Are Part Of America

Why does "rich" America look so poor?

Americans always rant about being the "richest" country in the world..but if you travel it..it looks like one of the poorest. Sure there are rich areas but most of America is modest or substandard. If you visit most cities you will see high crime, filth, and overcrowding..all signs of poverty on a mass scale. Most people in the US cannot sustain a family with just one worker with one job. Certainly Americans are pretty deluded and are only sedated by the mantra of Americas being rich. It is rich...but for a small percentage who are rich off the backs of the ones calling out the mantra.

Why do people think Americans love coffee?

I have a pin pal from Scotland and she was surprised that I hate coffee and that I'm a tea lover because she said in media they always show Americans drinking coffee.

What percentage of Americans believe that racism is for a large part at the core of the Tea Party's hatred of Obama?

Is it at the core of their dislike? No. They dislike him because he is in charge of the Federal Government, which they want to shrink. They hate him because he is a Democrat.Ill be honest though, a lot of the criticism of Obama doesn't even follow any type of logical pattern. In his first term, he lowered taxes on the middle class. He deported more immigrants than Bush. He is clearly a Christian, and yet he's considered antireligion and antichristian.  And somehow, this President who could've passed for a Republican in his first term, who has bowed down to corporations is a SOCIALIST. I don't get it.No Tea Partier is going to cop to not liking the president based on race. They don't need to. They have enough other reasons they list .Now, like any group, the Tea Party has most certainly used racially charged rhetoric in their protests. A quick look at pictures on the internet will show you that. But it doesn't mean the Tea Party has racist ideology. Heres my thing, I don't know what the Tea Party is about. They've been around 5-7 years and I can't figure it out for the life of me. I hear that its about taxes and the size of the government, but I don't know exactly what it is they want to accomplish. How do they decide what tax payor funded entities go? Is it ideologically driven.I don't even know who the Tea Party is, who is in it. Yes, I am told there is no connection between the TP and Koch Industries. And TP seem awfully in favor of vouchers and privatizing schools, which doesn't actually lower taxes, it just routes money to nonpublic schools. So, yes, there are many Americans who think that the TP is racist. I don't know the polling numbers. I think his race and Muslim father is in the mix there, its low hanging fruit, and I've seen it on signs, so denying that they are there isn't going to fly. I think regardless of who is in office in 2016, it will be interesting. I wonder what the TPs plan is. If Rand Paul gets in, will dismantling as many federal departments be enough. Could we completely cut all social safety net programs. I don't know what their plan is.

Are all americans stereotypical of English people?

I asked a question about america and someone was like "Don't move to america, We usually brush our teeth daily".... Well most english people do as well :S

Is it just this person? or are a lot of americans stereotypical of the english?

Bad teeth? We all get free dental care.

Drinks tea? I don't know how to make tea

Very 'proper' accent? Urm no more very chavy, use of lot of slag.

a large and detailed vocabulary? The smaller the words and the more slang the better :)

Cockney Slang? No chav slang, innit, ain't, bait.

tall slightly overweight? Im 5,3 and slim and england overweight rates are less than america.

Ive found that a lot of americans have this idea of the english as snobs. My 17 year old brother went to jail at 16 and smokes cannabis, my 16 year old cousin is pregnant smoking cannabis. There are more people like this 'scum' in england than a 'well spoken tea drinking snob'.

England is a shiit hole.

Where has the stereotypes of the english come from when the reality of england is alot different?

Do you think President Trump is out of touch with the average American based on his comments and tweets?

Well, he must be:Half the voting population voted against Republicans because they are authoritarians who want to run your life. And will cut taxes which will hurt the middle class. And are mean people who don’t care about the poor.So Trump is out of touch with people who voted against Republicans, and 2 years later continue to mouth this crap, making up excuses (or insisting the facts aren’t the facts). While cutting taxes boosted employment, removing massive numbers from the unemployment checks and are now paying taxes. And if that isn’t helping the poor, then my apologies to Adam Smith.Meanwhile, back in Foggy Bottom, Trump has a protocol in place that for every 1 new regulation, 2 existing regulations must go. And has done yeoman’s work removing regulatory powers that have been decidedly trying to run your life.It is all very confusing to figure this out - but I have a daft auntie who is liberal as hell who explains all the logic of how things really, truly are. Like listening to Alice’s tea party with the Mad Hatter. But does clarify things about perspective...[edit: It is not ok to blame someone for something imagined. Judge on fact and outcome, not what you imagine someone’s intent to be - generally people suck at imagining another’s intent. Don’t be that person.]
