Why Does Yahoo Tolerate Everything But The Truth

Should the U.S. government have control over the Internet?

Certainly not.
We are seeing them attempt to get control of the internet. But it is still too big. And government control is not what the neocons want. They want to control it themselves and are using the government, the media, and the internet providers to gain that control. The internet is the last oasis of truth that stands in the way of their controlling absolutely everything we see and hear. Not that everything on the internet is true, but the truth is here and they just cannot stand it.

Religious Tolerance on Yahoo Answers?

It seems as though everyone on Yahoo Answers (particularly those in the R&S section) goes into an uproar if anybody mentions their own personal views. Athiests hate Christians, Christians hate Athiests, and Jews and Muslims are constantly being beaten down by everyone.

I am an Athiest, but one of the most important things to me is religious tolerance. I realize that not everybody agrees with me, but I would never try to convert somebody out of their beliefs, or even argue with their beliefs. Quite frankly, the only thing that offends me more than others trying to impose their beliefs on me is when I see other Athiests trying to impose their beliefs on those who follow a religion. It defiles all that I have worked for to become a tolerant person while still being an Athiest.

My question twofold: Is there any way to promote religious tolerance? And is there any way to get people to answer legitimate questions objectively, instead of bringing their personal views into play?

"The world is too dangerous for anything but truth and too small for anything but love." What say you?

I would say that cute platitudes, slogans and bon mots contribute nothing to the effort of solving serious problems.

Why are "tolerant" people so intolerant of Christianity?

I have seen some pretty awful things said by so-called "Christians," but I'm not taking about being intolerant of that.

I've often seen people who say that we should be tolerant of all other's views and lifestyles go off on a Christian because of their VIEWS on homosexuality, for example. Now the Christian didn't say anything negative about homosexuals as people, they just stated that they believed homosexuality is a sin. The "tolerant" person then went off, calling the Christian all kinds of horrible names. Don't they see that this isn't tolerance? People accuse Christians of thinking all non-Christians are terrible people, and are therefore intolerant. Yet, most of these people seem to do exactly what they accuse others of. They think those who don't agree with them are horrible people. That is INTOLERANCE, not tolerance.

BTW - I believe that all non-Christians and all Christians alike are "horrible people." That is why I believe we need a savior. I'm no better than you.

Should we be tolerant of intolerant people?

I've certainly heard this argument before, that "tolerant people are hypocrites if they don't tolerate the intolerant," ....but it's a load of crap. It's a mindfuch, for lack of an actual defense, by an intolerant person...

Being a "tolerant person" does not pigeon hole anyone into a course of action to be defined by *******, especially the intolerant ones who somehow think they are in the "right" by being wrong...

Being "tolerant" does not force one into a position of "Universal Tolerance" where EVERY OPINION must be tolerated, especially ones that are damaging or in favor of denying Rights. For example: I consider myself a very tolerant person, however, I see child abuse as wrong. Others can *disagree* if they want to, and their mind retains autonomy, but I'm not going to tolerate seeing a child being abused, and I'm not listening to someone tell me why it's a good thing. Some may be "of the opinion" that rape is acceptable, but I'm not tolerating a rapist.... Opinions inspire action. The Holocaust even, started with an opinion...

Everything does (and should) have it's limits...

Tolerance and harmony are impossible in society today?

I need a religious view on this question.
Any religion would do, I just want what that religion thinks of that question and if they think it's true(:
thanks:)
