Why Does Your Chest Physically Hurt And You Feel Weak And Light Headed When You Cut Too Deep

What does it feel like to get stabbed?

I’ve been stabbed 3 times. The first time was an accident in middle school. A classmate hit me with her bag and there was a pencil sticking out the bottom of it. That’s when I discovered what I call my birth defect. I don’t feel pain normally. I got home, took off my jacket and it felt like it snagged on something. My dad was there and he turned green. I asked if he was ok and he said, “look at your arm”. There, sticking out of my arm was 2 inches of broken pencil. The second time was in a fight in NYC. Someone pulled a knife on me and I put my hand up. The knife went through my right hand. I’m a lefty, and wasn’t using a computer mouse yet. I pulled my hand back, looked at it, pulled the knife out of it, and buried it in the attackers’ butt. He ran away screaming like a shark just bit his leg off. (pussy)The third time was again in a fight in NYC. I was checking IDs at a bar in Queens and a kid (drunk, the best kind of attacker) stabbed me in the leg. It was a fairly fleshy part, and he missed my femoral artery, so that was good. He turned to run away and I gave him his knife back - in his ass, again. I bet he couldn’t sit for a month. The leg hurt a bit, but the others either completely missed nerves, or, like I said, my birth defect handled the pain for me. The only time I REALLY felt the pain from these was when I rinsed the wounds with hydrogen peroxide. THAT hurt.

Depression and Thoughts of suicide? chest pain and dizziness...do i need help?

For almost a year now i've been having different symptoms of depression. Sometimes i have terrible thoughts about my mother dying or myself. I dont want anything bad to happen to her of course, but these thoughts just fill my mind.

Sometimes its physical, i dont cut myself or anything like that...but sometimes i become very anxious and get chest pains, and i feel weak and i become dizzy.

My weight is an issue too...it goes up and down every single day. I'm very concerned about my weight so i weight myself every single day. Sometimes, i force myself to throw up.

I have feelings of withdrawl sometimes...i dont do any heavy drugs, the only thing i have done and still do is smoke marijuana but never anything else...

I cry REALLY easily. specially when i start thinking about my life. i tear at any moment even if i'm just watching some television.

I dont want to wake up in the mornings anymore because i hate having to go thru the day..i get aggrivated REALLY easily and everything pisses me off.

Its super hard for me to talk to anyone about how i feel so i always fake it when i'm around people..

whats wrong and how can i fix it? please help.

Constant headache in the back of my head?

I'm a 15 year old girl. I have a history of headaches. I've never told a doctor about them before. Around 2007 I would get small twinges of pain towards my temples. The pain would last for a few seconds then leave, the pain was severe enough to distract me from what I was doing. For a while those headaches came and went.
I have for sure had the constant headaches in the back of my head for over a year. It feels like a constant pressure on the whole back of my head. Whenever I lie down my head feels numb. I switched my pillow (thinking my pillow was too hard) but whatever I lay my head on, causes it to go numb.
I've had the pain for such a long time I tend to ignore it, but every now and then it becomes so severe I can't ignore it.
Sometimes when I stand up after lying down I feel light headed and dizzy.
(I'm not sure how this could relate to the head aches) But I've experienced a buzzing sound in my right ear 2 or 3 times.
I have considered the possibility that these are tension headaches, but I'm not sure how to treat this. Whenever I tell my parents that I'm in pain they tell me to take and aspirin or eat because I may just be light headed from not eating.
I'm not sure if this is more serious than a tension headache, and if it is, what is the next step I should I take. I appreciate any bit of advice.

Thank you

Should i be worried about having a headache after falling over?

i slipped over in the kitchen at work today, and landed on my hip. as far as i know i didn't hit my head, but since falling i've had a splitting headache. is it possible that the force of my fall has bruised my head or hurt it in some way, without physically hitting my head?

Why do some people faint after lifting a heavy weight?

This has to do with one  of the 12 cranial nerves in the human body. The Vagus Nerve (pronounced like the city in Nevada where people go to gamble) is the 10th cranial nerve that runs the length of the trunk of the body. It's name means 'wanderer', which decribes the path it takes in the body. When this nerve is stimulated, it lowers the heart rate and blood pressure. This reduces blood flow to the brain, which can cause one to pass out (syncopal episode). People who are squeamish about looking at something (blood, vomit, spiders, etc.) can trigger this 'vasovagal' reflex, as well as physical pressure put on it. When one 'bears down' to tense their upper body in preparation to lift something heavy or when one is in the bathroom and is pushing too hard during a bowel movement, one can pass out because of this reflex too. It could triggered by a longer coughing session, as well. There can be other triggers, too.Experiencing stimulation of this nerve, one probably would feel lightheaded...dizzy...confused. Hearing or vision may fade temporarily. As there can be a great deal of variation with how people experience things, as well as some variations in body structure - not all people will be effected the same way.

Why does my arm sting/go numb after shooting meth?

If you're getting a blood return and you're a 100% sure you're in the vein it could be some kind of cutting agent they're using to cut it with. I've had some burn for about the first 3″ to 4″ of the shot then just stop burning. I just assumed it was probably acetone though. The numbness doesn't make sense if you're actually in the vein though. I'm no medical expert either, but it does sound like nerve damage. I would just watch for any red lines that appear around the injection site, you could develop an abscess or even worse a blood infection. I've been able to treat abscesses at home, however, blood infections are nothing to take lightly they can be fatal very quickly. The red line is an indicator that infection is setting up and if travels to the heart it can be deadly. I have some pictures of ones I caught in early stages and treated them myself. It's not a pleasant experience. I would try a different place until the current one heals up. That's the beginning to end phase of a typical abcess that was caused by “Black Tar Herion” which is more common with H. Ice tends to crystalize then slowly dissolve. I had a place where I missed with a shot of ice that if I pressed on it I could hear a rapid heartbeat inside my head. A warm towel laid across the injection site will sometimes make it heal quicker.

What is the cause of this shortness of breath and burping?

Hi PaulaYou look young - so many of the causes of shortness of breath should not apply to you. However you should still see a doctor. The most common cause of SOB (shortness of breath) in someone of your age would be asthma, anxiety or possibly anaemia. If your chest is tight or you are wheezy it could be asthma.Anxiety can cause hyperventilation - which leads to more deep breathing and a feeling of not getting enough air. Possibly if you are burping a lot you are swallowing air when you are doing your deep breathing. The way to know if it is this is to see a doctor or nurse who can check you with a fingertip pulse oximeter which will show your O2 saturation at 100% when you are SOB ( normal O2 sat is 95 to 99% ) - if it does you are hyperventilating - or very anaemic. They can listen to your chest and see if there is wheeze also - which could be asthma, however this won’t be present if your chest is REALLY tight - but your O2 saturation will also be low in this case ( below 95% probably if your chest is really tight).A simple blood test would show if you are anaemic. Anaemia causes SOB by reducing the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood, so you can have an O2 sat of 100% and as you have too few red blood cells you are still SOB.
