Why Has My Employer Not Asked Me For Any Proof Of Identity Neither Provide Me With A Contract

Can a company deny the relieving letter if the employee has resigned and served the notice period as per the contract?

This will only happen in India and (1) When you have given a resignation letter you should make 2 copies and give one and get the acknowledgement on the another one. (2) They can -till they have shown certain way of teaching a lesson. Let's see the other ways.. 1. Do you have copy of your resignation letter? If not make one and of the same date and if you have sent it through the mail then there must be a acknowledgement from them you get that print out keep it with you. If not tomorrow morning you send  email ( very politely) that you have submitted your resignation on so and so date and you would like to know the status of it.  ( whether accepted or pending or not accepted etc) say only status.  And then start reminding them by phone or in person every alternative day. once you got the acknowledgement and reason for dealy etc take a print out and keep it with you.Now you write a nice polite letter to your HR Manager from where you got the offer. explaining the situations and attaching the resignation letter you sent to them 15 / 20 days back - and inform them ( never blame the present employer) that " I am afraid that the management is not happy about my resignation and may delay the approval of it.  As I have the salary certificate and resignation letter copy with me - will it be sufficient for you to accept me and issue me the appointment letter? If they say yes.. then you must be careful to write a letters informing the present co that : with reference to my letters where in I requested you to relieve me as early as possible and I till now even after 25 days neither I received any communication or information about the status of my resignation letter.  I would like to inform you I will not be attending the office from ( give a date) so I request you to make arrangements to relieve me by taking over the papers, and other files which I am presently handling now as soon as possible or designate some one so I can handover the things to him. Still if these people are playing tricks - Issue another letter after 3 days - making it as reminder - the plan is to create a record of sorts.. - like you resigned long back, on your own, you need to handover few things ( tomorow they should not give a police complaint about that some thing was lost etc) and the HR managers should know that you are creating a record. Still these people are adamant - then you need to consult a lawyer.

Is it illegal for my employer to withhold my paycheck for not returning a uniform t-shirt?

I quit my job at massage envy because of poor treatment. All employees are provided a t-shirt when they begin working. We are required to wear it and it has the company logo on it.

When I quit I was NOT told that I would have to return the shirt NOR did I sign a contract requiring me to pay for the shirt. So I threw the T-shirt away.

When I went to pick up my paycheck and tips today, they would not give them to me unless I returned the shirt or payed $17.99 for it.

I could have paid it but do not want my employer to get away with something I think is illegal. So he is withholding my entire paycheck until I pay him or force him to give it to me.

He claims that he has a right to do this and is threatening that he will get my whole paycheck if this goes to court.

This is at the massage envy in Idaho Falls, ID.

Do I need to show a proof of identification when I sign an international NDA?

No, you don't have to show ID just for the act of signing an international (or domestic) NDA, per se.A NDA is a contract, and the only requirements are the ones written into the contract between those in privity, meaning the parties signing or agreeing to the terms. If either party requests ID from the other as part of the deal, they'll tell you that in the terms. Otherwise, the overall answer is ‘no.’If you are having it notarized, which is something separate from the actual contract, the notary herself may require ID to prove the identity of the person signing it. The notary is required to have either personal knowledge of your identity (if, for example, your notary is a family member) or have proof via some kinda of valid ID.

In which UK banks can I open a checking account without a proof of address?

I am not from UK and this post is from 2016, so things may have changed. Anyway here it is:List of banks in the UK where you can open a bank account without proof of addressYou probably know by now that trying to open a bank account in the UK without a proof of address can become a nightmare. Most of the banks will require at least a copy of a house rental contract. So if you haven´t got a job nor a house yet, this is the list of banks you should take into account:BARCLAYSTraditionally it has been one of the easiest banks to open an account without the usually required documents. Europeans can open it by just showing their passport. There are different options here; the first one is opening Cash Card Account, which has no fees and you can perform basic operations, but make sure you are given a debit card instead of a cash card or another good option is to open a Barclays Bank account with acontactless debit card.LLOYDSIt is also one of the most indulgent banks. In fact, in order to open a bank account, you only need to have a passport, which makes it one of the best options for the newly arrived without any contract. Here, you will also be offered the Cash Account but bear in mind that with its credit card you will only be able to withdraw money at certain ATMs so you´d better opt for the Classic Account which has no limitations.TSBUntil 2013, TSB was part of LLOYS TSB and while now separate entities, the requirements for opening a bank account are exactly the same as those of its former partner; having a passport is be enough to proceed.OTHER BANKSOf course there are many other bank companies, but to be honest, trying to open a bank account could be pretty arduous. Our recommendation is that you start with the banks mentioned, and later on, once you have a house contract and a job, you attempt it with others. The most complicated issue is to open the first account in the UK, once you have achieved this, changing to a different bank is usually much easier.I hope I helped. Take care!

Can my employer refuse to accept my letter of resignation?

Just post it to HR…If they also dont accept, just check your No dues and then move

Loyalty to your employer?

I'm currently working as a contractor with my company and am about 1.5 months into a 6 month contract. There has been word floating around that due to the lack of work, us contractors may be forced to either look into relocating to another state (from IL to either IA or FL) and stay as a contractor to work at a different company there. The place in IA is over 3 hours away from here and FL is many hours away.

When I heard about that, I made my resume public on Monster. There is an oppertunity in WI that offers a permanant position with a company, really good benefits, and potentially a higher wage.

When I was hired by the company I am with now, I received no benefits but the pay was pretty good. They also asked if I would be able to stay the duration of the contract. I agreed that I would. My question is this: Should I stick out the rest of the contract with the chance of having to choose to either stay in hotels during the week while I am in either IA or FL and come back to home on the weekends (with FL it would be more like coming back maybe once a month due to the distance) or even losing my job or should I just leave my current company if the job in WI is offered to me? My issue is that I said I'd be staying for the duration of the contract and breaking it would be breaking my word. But I don't want to miss out on an oppertunity when this current adventure could end up in ruin.

Is an agreement still valid if I did not receive a fully signed copy?

As long as there is, in existence, a version of the agreement that is signed by both parties, and that version of the agreement contains the terms that both parties agreed to, the contract is presumably enforceable.  While it's customary to deliver a copy of the agreement signed by both parties to each party, I know of no legal requirement that it be done.  It's also incumbent upon those who sign an agreement to request or obtain a copy, not to sit on their butts for a year and wait until something comes up to challenge the contract.

Can someone sue me for "breach of contract" on Craigslist?

I never received any form of payment from him. He is suing me based off of him putting money down to a shipping company. I never agreed to accept a wire transfer or cashier check. I never agrees on selling th car either. He said he was gonna look into a shipping company that wouldn't cost too much. After I told him I would not accept a CC or wire transfer, he kept insisting on it. He even asked to send me the title to the car while he transferred. After all of this happened and he threatened to sue me, he said, and I quote "just to prove I'm not a total ***, I'll save you the time and trouble and offer you a settlement of $300" followed by more threats in other e-mails how I will refer it.
