Why Has Y Answers Changed On Mobile Android. The Purple One Is Rubbish Too Slow And Well I Cant

Why is Android Studio so terrible? It is too slow, it stucks and the bugs delay my project.

I have used XCode and Visual Studio for many years. I’ve been using Android Studio for almost two years and I’ve found it to be by far the worst IDE I have ever worked with. I’m on version 3.1.3 now.I had to purchase a faster PC just to make it build my project, which otherwise would have taken ages. It is full of bugs. The worst thing is the split between the IDE and gradle. Everytime you make a significant change in the project configuration (such as adding a file to a makefile) you need to wait for minutes for gradle to ‘sync’. The sync step is totally absent in all the other major IDEs and is a productivity killer. You have to wait for the sync to finish, and then you are allowed to launch the build. Since both take minutes, you risk to get distracted and start doing another thing (to avoid getting bored for the wait) twice before being able to see your app run, just because you added a file. People working on smaller projects may not notice these issues, but I assure you that on bigger projects all this waiting kills your productivity.Native (c++) compilation errors are reported badly if at all. I have to search for the “error” string in the build log to find them!My guess as to why Android Studio is so bad is that it is jointly developed by Google and Jetbrains, so no single entity is responsible for the product. The fact that it’s developed in Java doesn’t help, sometimes you can almost see the monstrous garbage collector having to swipe away the memory while the IDE freezes and you have to wait maybe 5 seconds for the app to become responsive again. Also the original design decision of using Java/Kotlin as the main programming language/runtime also affects the development of Android in general and makes it cumbersome when, such as in my case, you have to make Java and native c++ code interoperate. This adds an extra level of unnecessary complexity, and Android Studio has to handle both Java files as well as at least two types of makesfiles (cmake and ndk-build).Let’s hope that things improve in the future.

How do I know if someone has hacked my Android?

I was going to pass on this question tell I saw the other answer Misinformation represented as fact can be damaging or worrying I know someone who calls it Fake News. Here are 14 signs your smartphone has been hacked.Your smartphone or tablet seems slower than before.Your device is sending or receiving strange text messages.New apps are installed on your device--and you didn't install them.Your device's battery drains more quickly than before.Your device is hotter than before.Websites appear somewhat different than before. Some apps stop working properly. You notice an increased use of data or text messaging.Your cell-phone bill shows unexpected charges."Pop-ups" appear on your device--and they never appeared before.Your email from the device is getting blocked by spam filters.Your device is attempting to access "bad" sites. You are experiencing unusual service disruptions.Data breaches and/or leaks. If you have only one of these that would not mean you have been hacked. Do you download APKs from websites and not the play store? Click on email links from strangers? Given your unlocked phone to someone and not watched what they were doing with/to the phone? If the answer to these questions are no the possibility you have been hacked are very slim to none.14 Signs Your Smartphone or Tablet Has Been Hacked

How do I fix a blurry/purple screen on iPhone 5? What is wrong?

That issue is usually caused by either a severe drop that damaged or loosened and internal connections, or the screen was replaced by a third party display of low quality. Try sticking a sticky note to the front of your phone. If it sticks, you have a third party display and were likely ripped off by a repair shop or whoever sold you the phone. If it's a genuine display, take it to the Apple Store and they'll take a look at it. They can reseat all the connections and that may be all it takes to fix it.

What went wrong with Yahoo? It was once worth almost $125 billion, but today sold to Verizon for $5 billion.

There is no one single reason that Yahoo "went wrong", which I assume means that they aren't seen as one of the top couple of internet companies like they once were. There are product reasons, strategic reasons, and cultural reasons. Some top of mind examples though:Focusing so much for years on Panama (Google Adwords competitor) and search in general, when they ended up losing to Google and eventually outsourcing this to Microsoft.Becoming too unfocused. Yahoo tried to do everything and triggered the famous Peanut Butter Manifesto from Brad Garlinghouse that summarized this problem well. The shift from a desktop world where everyone used home pages to a mobile and social world. Yahoo failed to build their own successful mobile and social products or to acquire any. Yahoo got too bloated, and nobody would ever make the cuts needed to both headcount and its products/properties.Buying Flickr, then letting it languish. Buying Flickr for $35 million was a bargain when you see how huge social photos are today. They could have turned Flickr into the next Facebook or Instagram and instead didn't invest properly in it.Failing to acquire Google and then Facebook. Yahoo had opportunities to buy both of these companies when it was clear they were going to be big successes and instead wouldn't pay what was needed. For example, they had a deal to buy Facebook for $1.1 billion pretty much accepted, then Yahoo's earnings came out and the value of the deal dropped to 800M due to stock compensation and Zuckerberg balked when Yahoo wouldn't change the deal to put the price back up. Think about the value of Facebook today and that Yahoo didn't acquire them over a $300M difference.Leadership changes. Looking at companies like Google and Facebook you'll see that the same leadership has essentially been in place the whole time. Yahoo has had a shifting cast of CEOs and executive teams that has never provided a longer term vision and execution path to take shape.Acceptance of lower quality employees. By the time I worked at Yahoo from 2007-2010, there were still a ton of great A-quality people there, but there were also a lot of B or C-quality people who were not outstanding at their work. This starts to eat away at the company and make the A-players go work elsewhere. There are more reasons, but these provide a good summary...

Do mobile phones (cell phones) emit harmful radiation or electromagnetic fields?

*headdesk*Okay, so, in the hundreds of times this has been asked on Quora, the answer has not changed. Just in case you were wondering. It is possible to search Quora for questions before you ask them yourself. This one is overdone as much as the “My IQ is XXX, is that good?” Probably more.So.Here’s the thing.Cellphones utilize microwave frequencies usually between 450 MHz and 1,900 MHz. This means that they are on the non-ionizing portion of the EM Spectrum; the ionizing portion includes Gammas and X-rays.You’ll notice that visible light is closer to being ionizing than microwaves are. Literally, you’re more at risk from your lightbulbs than you are your cellphone. So don’t freak out over cellphone radiation. It’s fine. It cannot hurt you.“But the WHO and [random organization] have stated that they are potentially carcinogenic!” This means nothing. Don’t fool yourself. Because those organizations also state that there is no scientific research that backs up that they might actually be carcinogenic. What this means is:There is no reason in the first place to have ever made the statement that they are harmful, because nothing scientific suggests that they are. They can’t prove that they aren’t harmful, as you are trying to prove something in a void; you also can’t prove that Bigfoot doesn’t exist. However, scientific evidence suggests that cellular radiation is not carcinogenic, as there is yet to be a scientific study suggesting that they are.“What about heating?” If it could damage you with heating, you’d notice everything around the phone getting hot, too. Phones do get hot at times, but this is easily traceable back to battery discharge. Phones simply do not have enough power to hurt you via heating. If the radiation cannot ionize your cells (it can’t) and it can’t noticeably heat your body (it can’t) then there is no further mechanism of damage for the radiation to harm you. If you want to make the claim that cellular radiation is dangerous, you also need to provide a mechanism of damage, or else I’ll probably just laugh at you for being anti-science.That last bit wasn’t directed at you,OP.
