A2A: Why does religion need to blame everything on everybody other than themselves?It's not religion per say that spreads blame, it's its members. But it's not just those of religion who blame, it's a worldwide phenomenon that most partake of.I, myself, blame religion for a lot of bad things. But then, I have 9/11 and the fact that there are many religious suicide bombers, as well as much more evidence, to bolster my case. While I readily admit that religion does some good, in today's world, it doesn't ever come close to making up for all the bad. And the worst of the bad, in my opinion, is that billions are not at all concerned with climate change because they believe that their god will not forsake them. The problem is, there are no gods and we are on our own.My motivations for blaming religion (but certainly not exclusively as there would still be many problems even if religion were to die) is to hopefully make the world a better place. My conscience demands that I speak out, and so I do.Religion is very much an us-against-them entity. Within the group (or the bubble as I call it, which isolates those inside from the outside world), there is strong cohesion, but outside of the bubble, all are to blame for not accepting their particular brand of superstition. This is encouraged, I think, in order to strengthen the bonds of the bubble. It also keeps the members busy so as not to have too much time to think about the extraordinarily impossible claims that those inside the bubble are expected to believe without doubt. And there is no objective evidence at all to support any of their bizarre claims.This said, I have personally met very many faith believers who do not appear to spread blame. These are the ones who sincerely have no doubt as to their worldview being true, which I find absolutely fascinating, considering that they have zero evidence to back any of it up. It really says a lot about the human mind, and it's not good.
Why do people curse the religion of Islam?
Islam is being used as a social control mechanism. For many years the specter of Communism was effectively used as a social control mechanism. People were told that Communism was a threat to their safety and their way of life. A great propaganda effort on both sides went into perpetuating this myth. The Communist countries used a reverse but similar propaganda line. With the disintegration of Communism in the 90s the west was left in a panic. People were calling for massive cuts in defense spending. With no credible threat there was no logical excuse to keep spending the resources on weapons. The military industrial complex needed a new rational for it's existence. Think tanks around the world went into hyper drive and the war on terror was born. The war on terror is a far better social control mechanism than Communism ever was. All that needs to be done to keep it seeming relevant is to fly unmanned drones around in the worlds hot spots and kill a few innocent people a year while pretending to hunt terrorists. This makes a few people angry enough to hate the USA enough to want revenge. Then all that is necessary is to turn a blind eye, ignore their efforts and hope a few of them are successful enough to get on the news. The war on terror is just nonsense designed to control you through fear.
Religion does more harm than good...?
lets look at other reasons people kill one another. Many wars are done in the name of religion but have nothing to do with religion. The war in Iraq look at the facts 1 world trade centers bombed by terrorist hijacking air planes 9/11 2 terrorist that hijacked the airplanes and the person claiming responsibility Osama Bin Lauden are not in Iraq and have not been caught. They are also NOT from Iraq. 3 big gas station BP on the NASDAQ stands for British Petroleum and Amoco oil joined forces at this time. 4 Large portions of Amoco oil owned by the then vice president of the USA 5 We end up going to war with Iraq the country with the largest holdings of oil Britain (BP) and America (Amoco oil) are the countries that stand to gain the most by gaining some control in these countries. 6 this war with Iraq is claimed to be a war against extreme Muslims (religion) who have an axe to grind with the Christians (religion) 7 This war does not benefit the Muslims or the Christians and it is not settling any difference in opinion. 8 The Christians and the Muslims are paying higher prices for oil and the economy is failing around the world Lest not forget the wars for diamonds started by De Beers and claiming religion as it's roots as well. When in all actuality it was the greed of the rich and powerful desiring the diamonds and playing the poor against each other. Religion also saved many in wars as those who are true to their biblical standards will not partake in these wars. Hitler had to contend with many who would not bear arms and kill people for being Jews Their religion forbids killing. So Hitler marked them with a purple triangle and showed special hate for them. The Tootsie and Hutu tribes in Rwanda Africa took part in a frenzied massacre of many people. Before certain agents in power got involved these two tribes lived side by side in peace for centuries. It was greed not religion that spurred this on. Many things are blamed on religion and many times we are just to busy to see the root of the problem and focus on the symptoms. This is why we still do not have the cure for the common cold we focus on the symptoms of the cold we want to stop the runny nose but not cure the cold, no money in that one either.
Why do liberals blame the West for radical Islam?
As seen from the reaction to the Islamic bombings in Brussels, liberals have already started blaming the West, even on this message board. Consider these things: - They cry Islamophobia each time there is a valid criticism with the Koran or Islam itself. - They try and call Islam a religion of peace, and dismiss everyone who says it isn't as being a "bigoted conservative warmonger". - They'll blame society for "forcing him" to go to jihad. - Even better, they'll blame "white American Christian capitialistic imperialism". - They play the "moral equivalence card" by claiming that the US and the West are "no better" than the Islamic terrorists. - They bash anti-Islamist groups such as American Freedom Defense Initiative as being hateful and fearmongering when they are trying to raise concern about Islamic extremism. Why do liberals hate Western freedom so much? Why do they hate America? Why are they so delusional?
