Delacroix raped and murdered a girl, then set a building on fire to cover up the crimes.. That fire caused even more deaths.Its no surprise they withheld that part of the book in the film( It is way too difficult to be on someones side who committed a horrific crime like that no matter how sorry he was for doing it.When I first saw the film( and he was sorry for what he did right before he died) I think the audience was under the impression he was on death row by the result of an accidental death.Also when Coffey was laying his hands on Paul to cure him of his bladder infection, Delacrioix was genuinely trying to help save Pauls life by calling out for someone to save him.I feel the film did a better job than the book IMHOBitterbuck killed someone in a drunken brawl

Well when you say heart as in the actual organ, than that person is dead. Without the heart pumping blood throughout the body for an x-amount of time the body can no longer live.However since this is pretty much common knowledge, I will talk about people not having a heart emotionally wise.People who don’t have a heart probably don’t get very far in life, or at least not as far as they could. Humans have to be social creatures for most proffesions. People who aren’t empathetic are hard to work with. People want to be in the same workplace as others who they can get along with. If they’re not then it won’t be long until the environment will be toxic for that person…Overall, most people “without hearts” are less likely to advance as far as they probably could.I hope this was of some help.~~<3~~
