Why Is Ethiopia An Imporatnt Ascpect Of A Prophet

How did the prophet Moses meet his wife Zipporah the ethiopian woman?

Exodus 2:15-21 (KJV)
15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.
16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.
17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.
18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day?
19 And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.
20 And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.
21 And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.

Is it true that Ethiopia is the only country that the Prophet Muhammad declared free from jihad?

No. Jihad may only be fought defensively, never aggressively. The division of the world into “dar al-Islam”, “dar al- Harb” and “Dar al-Sulh” is a post prophetic innovation. Islam is not intended to be spread by the sword.Ethiopia was especially liked by the early Muslims because of the kindness and hospitality of the King of Abyssinia, who welcomed and protected Muslim refugees. There are actually a great many historical examples of Muslim coexistence and good relations with non-Muslims but too many people seem to want to ignore this story.

Did Prophet Muhammad perform a du’a for Ethiopia?

I found evidence that Prophet Muhammad (S) performed Salatul Janaza Al Gha'ib (Funeral Prayer for One Who Died Abroad) for Najashi, the ruler of Ethiopia, when Najashi died. Muslim Burials: Salat ul Janaza. This appears to be a unique case so it would be wise to extrapolate general rulings from this. Furthermore, I could not find evidence of Prophet Muhammad (S) making a dua for Ethiopia as a nation.

(Islam) The Hijra- What is it, why did it happen, and why is it important?

The hijra is the migration of Muhammad (pbuh) and his companions from Mecca to Medina. The reason this took place was because the Meccan pagans tortured and discriminated the Muslims and they had no choice but to migrate to a city where they would be safe. This also marks the beginning of the Islamic calender, so for example we would say 2011 is the 1432/1433 year since the migration/hijra.

you'll probably have to do more research if this is an assignment, cause this is just basic info

How come Ethiopia is not a Muslim majority country?

Basically it's because of two reasons.1. Strong presence of Christianity.Christianity arrived in Ethiopia earlier before Prophet Mohammed was born and has already established a strong hold there. By the 4th century AD the kingdom of Aksum was a Christian nation. It's really hard to bring a new religion and oust a thriving existing one that has other Christian allies such as the Roman Empire. Besides, the Kingdom of Aksum was somewhat of a super power then, frequently compared to the Roman Empire, Persia and China. It ruled over South Arabia, though internal power struggle challenged its continued rule and lost the region at some point. So it's not easy to force something that especially is as consequential as religious conversion on it. Even during its decline around the 9th century, when it was the only time when the Muslims managed to convert a significant number people through trade and other means, Christianity has already set deep roots. It's presence is still strong today, though so is Islam's. 2. Prophet Mohammed's orders not to attack AbyssiniaOther knowledgeable Muslims may correct me on this or clarify more. There is a tradition that says that due to king of Aksum's reception and protection of the Muslims that fled to Aksum during the migration to Abyssinia (Hijira), in return Prophet Mohammed ordered his followers not to attack Abyssinia. So, whatever conversions the early Muslims had to make was through peaceful means, unlike say Egypt, where there was a strong community of Coptic Christians that were subsequently outnumbered by Muslims. I believe it is likely because of this that you hardly hear any Muslim conquests done in Ethiopia, except for one case of civil war during the Medieval period between the Christian Ethiopia and the Muslim Sultanate of Adal that was subject to it. But then again, though religious lines were used to separate them, and the Portuguese and Ottoman Turks were involved as well, the character of the conflict was not similar to that of the early Muslim expansion. It was really a case of one nation trying to oust another one, more similar to the conflict between the Portuguese and Ottoman Turks.

Why did ancient Christians refuse Muhammad as their prophet while Allah praised them for not being stubborn like Jews?

Satan came to Muhammed disguised as Gabriel. Muhammed himself strongly doubted the angel he saw was Gabriel and thought he had seen Satan or a demon. He was terrified, uneasy, and did not want to write the Quran. Unfortunately, his wife and friends convinced him to write the Quran anyway. The Quran contradicts itself a lot in having verses praising Christianity and Jews as “people of the book” that Muslims should treat well and see Islam as the next step in the same religion. Later, Muhammed and the Quran condemn Jews and Christians and advocate murder to all infidels who won’t convert. Today, some Muslims learn and practice the peaceful parts of Islam and ignore or deny the calls to violence. Other Muslims, ignore at least some of the peaceful parts and advocate violence. Muhammed himself started out peaceful like the Quran and then moved to be a violent perpetraror responsible for the murder of many other people. Of course ancient and contemporary Christians, aware of what the Quran really says, and all the horrible things Muhammed really did, recognize him as the deranged man he was, used by Satan, to put millions of people in bondage to a false religion.

Poll: Was Prophet Adam a Christian, Jew, or a Muslim?

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/p...
a person who speaks for God or a deity, or by divine inspiration.

Adam could qualify as being a prophet because in order to speak for God, you have to be spoken to by God or you would not have anything to say. The challenge is that the text has him speaking to God...not speaking for God. So if you use dictionary.com's definition, no, Adam was not a prophet.

Islam has every right to claim he was as Islam teaches that of the 25 prophets, the first 24 were totally rejected by the descendants of Ismael. So totally did they rid themselves of anything to do with Allah, they don't have ONE historical document acknowledging that Allah sent ANY prophet into the world before Muhammad. Therefore, Ismael's own descendants didn't keep record of his existence...let alone Adam or the others Allah sent to them.

Islam, therefore, only knows of one prophet, Muhammad who actually spoke to Muslims. Muslims have to take the word of Muhammad that Allah did send others that they totally rejected.

Of course, immediately after Muhammad died, a general had a problem with Muhammad. Instead of killing him, the general burn copies of the Quran given by the prophet. So complete was the power of the general, it is said all the other copies given by the prophet are lost forever as there was no one righteous to stand in the way of the general.

Allah gave these over to their sins and that started the corruption of the Quran. Today in Islam, there is a tradition that the rich and powerful don't have to follow Sharia and the poor and weak do not unite to make uphold the commands of the Quran on their general-like leaders.

***was Prophet Adam a Christian, Jew, or a Muslim?***

There is no text that says was Adam taught as being from Allah as Dictionary.com requires. So no, Adam was not a prophet.

No, Muslims don't have ONE historical record of Adam's existence. Muslims only have the word of Muhammad and even that is questionable since the general burned copies of the Quran given by Muhammad...indicating the immediate attack on Muhammad's work after his death.

Hope this helps

Why was confidence level of prophet Muhammad so high compared to Jesus Christ?

Jesus was blessed with powerful miracles. He received Book from God.
But he did not challenge kings of his time. For them Jesus Christ did
not exist.
Prophet Muhammad on the other hand wrote letters to powerful kings
of Persia, Syria, Ethiopia and Egypt. And in less than 40 years his
followers reached those countries. He even advised Muslims to treat
the Egyptians well as they were their cousins as Hagar belonged to Egypt.

Wasn't Muhammad (SAW) divinely guided to achieve so much in so
little time with so few causalities ?
