Why did the Republicans hate everything Obama did, and the Democrats hate everything Trump does?
There are some good answers in this thread (also a few nonsense ones), but I’m going to suggest another way of looking at this issue. As an INTJ, my decisions are generally based on logic, while my ESFJ wife makes decisions based on her values. Said another way… Thinkers (T’s) tend to use their intellect more than their hearts, and Feelers (F’s) tend to use their hearts more than intellect, when it comes to decisions.We can look at history to see famous examples. Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain clearly exhibited a very strong F (Feeling) personality. He was convinced that if the U.K. just ignored Nazi Germany there would be no problem.Winston Churchill on the other hand demonstrated a very strong T (Thinking) personality. He assessed the logic of Hitler’s aggression's, and projected into the future a likely outcome for the U.K. with increasing danger.This is an over simplification – Myers Briggs is much more complicated – but I believe the general trend demonstrated herein is worthy of consideration. For example strong F (Feeling) personalities tend to see the benefits of immigration, and it makes them feel good. Strong T (Thinking) personalities tend to see the risks of immigration, and it makes them feel vulnerable.In my opinion the problem here in the United States is not that we have these different perspectives among the electorate; this is just diversity.The real problem is that politicians take advantage of these inherent differences and amplify the rhetoric… NOT in an effort to find a compromise, but instead to polarize the electorate to gain votes. Why does Obama get so much hate when he has done good things?
Much of it is plain old racism. The hate is coming mostly from the so-called religious right and the Republican Party that they support.Starting with Ronald Reagan’s first run for president, Republicans have courted conservative Catholic and Protestant churchgoers, hoping to draw them into the party. These are people who are convinced that they have the only true religion, and anyone who disagrees with them is misguided at best or demonically possessed at worst. The politicians they voted for could not compromise because that was as good as making deals with the devil.Since Obama is religious but not a Republican, that meant he had to be opposed no matter what he tried to accomplish. For religious fanatics it’s an easy segue from opposition to hate.

Why Americans love Obama but hate Donald Trump?
This question is not an accurate impression of the country. What you see is the liberal media and all of Hollywood who love Obama due to the political agenda and the nature of their industry. Add all the rappers and musicians etc who in order to have a career must be anti Trump.The real working class, like me, really don’t care about Obama. Has my life become better after Trump became President? Answer is NO. It’s more or less the same. But, if one were to watch the liberal media that forms a good 95% of the mainstream media, the impression will be that Trump is bad and Obama was a saviour.Add to that, there is social media that is exclusively biased towards the liberal agenda. Conservatives are shut down many a time. Facebook, Twitter and Youtube are extremely left leaning. Hence, the common perception is that Obama is loved and Trump is hated. Liberal media outlets like CNN operate even outside the US. Sadly, they have no competition abroad and viewers in those countries only see the biased, propaganda laden news that is aired by CNN.Obama did absolutely nothing for many in my state. The liberal media complains of Trump locking up children in cages and seperating them from their families. They will not mention that the same thing happened under Clinton, Bush and Obama. They sure as hell won’t mention that 98000 ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS were deported during Obama’s reign as President.They talk about the migrant caravan as being a hoax. Infact that CNN tool Jim Acosta specifically mentioned it in that infamous press conference where he challenged the President. Now who was proved right? Trump is doing exactly what every other President did. Except that today’s age of social and mainstream media is totally liberal. Hence the impression that Obama is loved.
