What does transgender mean?
Transgender is when a person is born either a male or female but they feel that they are really the opposite gender. Some get surgery to actually change their bodies into the other sex, and some just wear the opposite genders clothes and change their hair and everything.
What's the difference between a transexual, a transgender and a shemale?
A transgendered person is someone who is dealing with gender issues in their life. This is completely different from sexual orientation issues. A person can have gender issues or can have different sexuality or both. What Is The Difference Between Transgender, Transsexual, and GID?
I'm transgender but I get a confused about all the terms. I know I have GIT (Gender Indentity Disorder) which causes you to be transgender but what exactly does transsexual mean and what is the difference between the two. And why does it have to be called transgender if you could just say I have GID? Thanks!

Can virtual reality technology be used to treat gender identity disorder? What are some proposed or actual examples of this?
Question: Can virtual reality technology be used to treat gender identity disorder? What are some proposed or actual examples of this?First off, its gender dysphoria, From Wikipedia-The diagnostic label gender identity disorder (GID) was used by the DSM until its reclassification as gender dysphoria in 2013, with the release of the DSM-5. The diagnosis was reclassified to better align it with medical understanding of the condition and to remove the stigma associated with the term disorder.Just wanted to make sure we had definitions covered. Good? Good. So; with that covered, could VR technology be used to treat gender dysphoria? Maybe at a base-level as a stop-gap between hormonal/ surgical interventions and therapy. As for the theoretical? It can give them a chance to “look down” and see what their mind says “this should be here.” It gives them the chance to even “try on” different outfits without people able to discover their “stash.” Honestly; I’d kind of love to have this to deal with the day to day bullshit going through my head.
