Why does my ex always show up in my top 6 friends on my facebook TL?
We broke up nearly a year ago and we haven’t interacted since. The last time we chatted on messenger was over 8 months ago. I never view his page and make a point not to creep on him. Out of sight, out of mind. However, recently his pic has been showing up in my top 6 friends on my FB timeline?? It’s not that big of a deal, I just hate the constant reminder that he still exists. Unfriending would cause drama, but how do I get him out of my top friends?? I don’t like his pics, I don’t write on his wall and he’s doesn’t like or post on mine either. I don’t understand why he’s all over my page??

your sister is wrong - it has nothing to do with who is looking at your profile it's based first on family members, then on who you chat the most, then on common activity like your mutual likes and comments, then on things like common interests, common groups, lots of other things think of it like facebook is trying to predict who you will want to interact with in the future also keep in mind that when other people look at your profile, they dont see the same people, because they can have different things in common with your friends

So he's 21 and I'm 20. I'm insecure sometimes and I cam from an abusive household and exes made me paranoid. Well I have trust issues too. I get jealous sometimes also. So well I've dated my boyfriend for 8 months. Well he is the type of guy who adds anyone on facebook which is fine with me. But sometimes I get paranoid. I mean like last night he befriended this girl and I went to her facebook page to see who she was all about and well I only got slightly jealous and after a few minutes of being paranoid I was fine. But then I ended up brwsing his friends list and got jealous of some of the girls. I trust my boyfriend buti get paranoid about other people sometimes. I think its more compulsive than actual feelings..... is this bad
How can I hide my wall from certain Facebook friends?
There is a privacy setting for that. Here's how to do it: 1) when you log into facebook go to the blue menu bar on top of the page 2) move your mouse over "settings" 3) click on "privacy settings" 4) click on "Profile" 5) scroll till you find "wall posts" section 6) Click on "Edit custom settings" 7) when the window pops up look for the bottom area where it says "except these people" 8) start typing in the names and there you go! These people in this list should not see your wall. to make it easier, group all the people you don't want to see your wall in "friends list" to do that just click on the main friends page and on the left should be a section for "Friends List" and a button named "Make a new list" when you do that you would just have to enter the friends list name instead of everyones name separately. Hope this helps! ***added later*** Hummm, thought that would do it. I'll check it out and try to respond again ***Added later again*** Ok here's what I found out. I don't think the wall tab can be hidden completely. you can do what I had written above and they will stop them from writing on your wall as well as seeing what others write. if you want even less follow the steps up to step 5, there, instead of searching for "wall posts" search for "status updates" it should be before the "wall posts". that should stop the from seeing your status updates. now everything else that will appear on that wall tab will be just things like when you add pictures and friends etc. following these steps should stop those family members from being able to read/write on the wall tho. Here is how to check as well, when you go into privacy settings and click on profile you shoudl see somethign close to the top that reads "See how a friend sees your profile" type in their name and click on your wall you should se the writing on the wall option has disappeard and shoudl see that there are no wall posts visible. hope this helps!
