Why Is Hostess Zinger Not In Stores Yet

What is your favorite Hostess product and why?

Sno Balls, TWINKIES, Ding Dongs, Cupcakes, Donuts, or Ho Ho's, Apple Pies, Cherry Pies, Zingers,
Wonderbread or anything else and why?
P.S. Are you mad that Hostess is going out of business? I am :(

What kind of Gelatin do Hostess have? Beef, PIg,.....etc. Kosher,.....?

sounds like it is not Kosher based on this news bit I found:

Interstate Brands, Inc. Update 03-30-04
Their Pastry products are Clean except for those containing gelatin. The Glycerin and Mono-diglycerides are vegetable based. The following products are designated Unclean: The Hostess and Dolly Madison Cupcakes, Snowballs, Banana Dreams & Banana Fips; they contain pork derived gelatin. The Cupcakes that are Clean are those with the sprinkles only. Their Bread products are all vegetable based and are designated Clean.

Easiest way to tell is to check the box for the Kosher symbol.

What's the name of Hostess' mini angel food cakes?

Maybe twinkies?

Does hostess snacks have pork in them?

probably, check the label to see if it contains gelatin

gelatin is made from ground up animal bones and fat (mainly pig bones and fat)

~hope i could help :) <3

When were Zingers first made?

Not sure - but according to the Dolly Madison website:

“Cakes and pastries fine enough to serve at the White House.” That is how Roy Nafziger, IBC’s founder, described his Dolly Madison® snack cakes at their introduction in 1937. Roy’s fascination with the First Lady Dolley Madison lent him the name and inspiration to create a high quality snack fit for a socialite like Madison yet affordable for everyone.

Today, Dolly Madison Bakery® products have grown to include Zingers®, Donut Gems, Angel Food and Pound Cakes, and a variety of breakfast items like Sweet Rolls, Dunkin Stix and Pecan Rollers.

Does Hostess products (Twinkies, etc.) contain any PORK or PORK by products?

I don't see how that would be possible so, my answer would be "no" to Pork, but the situation is different if we're talking about Beef in regards to Hostess products:

As Hostess responded to a concerned consumer regarding this issue:
"Our Hostess Fruit pies contain beef fat. The shortening ingredients noted on our labels are: vegetable (may be soybean and/or canola and/or cottonseed and/or palm oil) and beef shortening. “Beef Fat” when noted, is a very small trace used in the creamy fillings of our cakes for taste. Also, it is used in a trace amount in the vegetable oil frying medium."

What's the craziest thing someone's said about a food to get you to stop eating it?

My great-grandfather was a cantankerous old man whose interactions with us kids were either incoherent shouting or bizarre mind games. I was always a little afraid of him.My great-grandmother, small and beachball-shaped like me with dangling earrings and a daring assortment of leopard-spotted leggings, was an unconventional hostess. She served thick slabs of deli bologna, sliced with the plastic casing intact, or globs of strange pudding from big industrial cans. She had an assortment of souvenir ashtrays that she often called into play as makeshift dishes. My favorite was the one with the pretty lady in the bunny costume on the bottom. One day, my great-grandfather was eyeing me across the table as she served up a heaping spoonful of tapioca pudding. His eyes glinted with an imminent life-ruining zinger as she pushed my favorite ashtray toward me. He waited until I’d eaten a few spoonfuls and then he couldn’t wait any longer: “Those are fish eyes, you know that, right?”Horrified and disgusted, I spat out the pudding and pushed the ashtray away. He was delighted. He cackled with glee and slapped the table. My great-grandmother squawked at him angrily. For years, I could not handle pearl tapioca. Sometimes he would drop additional information for veracity: asking me why I thought the processing plants would let the eyes go to waste when they could sell them to the pudding factories; telling me they soaked them in lye to bleach them, so that people wouldn’t be disturbed by dark eyeballs staring back at them from the white pudding. I’m sure he really enjoyed thinking up lots of new ways to sell that ridiculous story.I’d be pretty sure it was a lie. Pretty sure. Then I would try an experimental bite and the tapioca would squish between my teeth and the mental image was too much. I didn’t manage tapioca again until I was a teenager, and even then I had to swallow the bite whole because I couldn’t stand to touch the tapioca with my teeth.Years later, I’ve come to peace with tapioca. My great-grandfather, scary even now, almost forty years in the grave, would be happy to know he’s won. I finally see them for the fish they are. Only I don’t use them as eyes. I soak them in fruit juices and call them into play as caviar, for food photography.Faux Roe, by Amorette Dye

What are some small things that matter a lot?

My mom is a housewife who doesn’t expect anything from us ( me and dad ) . From childhood I have seen her , hardworking person who dedicated her life taking care of us. My dad is busy most of the time so whatever she wants she will ask me to get it.One day we were talking about her childhood wish , she confessed to me that she always wanted to own a teddy bear to sleep near with it . She wanted to hug it while sleeping or even would like to stitch some dress for it . Before I got her one , she even went on to explain what kind of name she will keep if suppose one is here with her .By seeing her excitement , i didn't say anything in return to her that day and ordered a 5feet teddy bear . Just like every other day we were moving with our life .After a week , the delivery box visited our home and the guy gave that parcel to mom . She pressed the parcel and understood it as some pillow . Never ever imagined something special to be inside it . So she asked me to open it when I came back home . I said okay .After my work , visited home in the evening and told her to take that pillow for her . She told me that there is no use of pillow at home . But still you are wasting money here .Carelessly she was opening the parcel and seeing a pink pillow size one . Because the teddy was folded like a pillow only . Then she opened the baggage and the teddy bear was spreaded on the bed .God , smile on her face was priceless . I never saw her this much happy for getting a teddy bear . Though it's nothing but a teddy bear but her inner happiness was like no words to explain . I have uploaded her photo with teddy bear . She hugged it tightly after seeing and called it with the name she imagined earlier .The teddy bear is a small thing for me . But I never expected that this small gift will make her happy to the extent . That level of happiness in her face was priceless . I can do anything for her to bring such happiness again :)I have realised that even small things can bring lovely moments in life .
